  1. Hi to all - Happy Forth! I think the choice of the word "Stand-alone" may be a bit confusing, which was not my intent. It simply means that no additional purchase will be required in order to fly the F-35. But yes, without DCS World loaded - it will not work.
  2. Hello to all with some thoughts on testing. The test cards are very specific in order to evaluate data points. the more data the better, and as always the remarks section will be used for thoughts. The development team can then evaluate, make modes and ask for retest. Of course looking at high AOA is a lot different than evaluating the RWR system, more data is good. The OPEVAL Team will be part of finding normal bugs but also defining the systems on this great jet - this will include training modules - No Pilot Left Behind!
  3. Hi Ghost - yes as of 12 April. If you get a chance drop me a note on my Web Site, Kinney Interactive. Thanks
  4. I'm going to be lobbying hard with a number companies to get involved and develop an F-35 HOTAS stick and throttle that might be available when we release the jet. Any thoughts - good idea or bad? Thanks guys, Eagle
  5. Hey Revelation as you know building a great jet is nothing unless we put together training tools that allow our pilots to get comfortable with all of the systems. Please be thinking of ways that we can step up support. We've failed if we can't train - We are only as good as our weakest pilot. No one gets left behind! Thank you, feel better knowing your aboard.
  6. We got to get Maverick back into a jet!
  7. Sounds great - we are putting up high speed servers so we can start forming squadrons and flying during the development period. This will be available to our backers. Maybe guys could fly the A-10 and work with squadron organization until we transition to our new jet
  8. Hi to all - just wanted to comment on the budget. We are adding R & D money from my company to make the F-35 goal. The Kickstarter funds get us to where we need to be and also allows me to bring into the project, in the early stages and for flight test, a dedicated group of Simulation Pilots. Great things can be done with enough people working together on a single goal!
  9. Dear Revelation - can not wait to fly with you again. You really made my day brother!
  10. Thanks 14th JAR yes once we get through this the real fun can begin. Just as a note, I would like to, over the coming year, try to coordinate with Lockheed and an opportunity for our founders to get access to the demonstration F-35 simulator. I'm hoping to put together activities in different locations so some of us can meet and exchange ideas. What would you think about something like that?
  11. Dear TimeKilla I put a lot of thought into the goal that was set on Kickstarter. It represents the amount needed for this project. I don't think it to right to misrepresent to the good people of the community or new ones that we might welcome in. Could there be anything worse than raising these funds then not being able to complete the project. I said it before, but its true. These pledges represent a scared trust. In my life and the life of the company I've been blessed to lead there is nothing more important. And TimeKilla don't worry, I have faith that we will not only reach our basic goal but exceed it! Eagle
  12. Hi Sharpe - Yes the F-35 will drop into DCS World. Standalone means, for those not familiar with DCS, that it does not require any additional purchase. Please note that I have opened a Q & A on the DCS F35 Facebook https://www.facebook.com/DCSF35
  13. Hi everyone I wanted to talk a little bit about the kickstarter project. Let me start by saying thanks to all for the words of encouragement and support. I know not everyone on this forum is a supporter, but I still believe they have the right to post concerns and questions. With kickstarter I wanted to give individuals an opportunity to get involved in the design process. By that I mean obvious things like types of squadrons, what do we think about open avionic access bays prior to launch, and how can the crew chief interact effectively. But its more than that, like feedback and decisions about the implementation of things like RWR. In any project there are compromises – always! But I will go to the OPEVAL team and lay it out. We get this capability or that – it will take this much extra dev time or if we do this we can’t do that. These kind of decisions need to be made though out the design and development process. I really wanted to try this approach. Now as for Kickstarter; with the exception of a $10.00 contribution (and even they get access to closed forums and decision making) I designed the contributions so that everyone received the F-35. $28.00 represents a savings. For all OPEVAL Test Team guys, not only do they get the F-35 but they’ll be flying it long before the general public on high speed servers we will maintain – testing everything from flight models to a flight control computer failure EP checklist. So yes, for some wait and see – I respect that. But for others, who want to get involved and receive the F-35, there is Kickstarter.
  14. Just thought guys might like to see this... http://www.kicktraq.com/projects/683368164/f-35a-lightning-ii-by-kinney-interactive/ Thanks to all
  15. I noticed that one of your squadron members made a contribution to the F-35 Kickstarter project. We will be forming squadrons or allowing to set up squadrons during the OPEVAL phase of the progress to help with the transition to a new jet. David
