  1. Follow up message for fellow NOD32 users. Got rid of the exclusion today and updated to last version. Everythings went well. No more false positive. Problem solved
  2. Got the same issue a few month back with one of Razbam Mig-19 dll. Got also around 15 dll quarantine by Nod32. Virustotal analysis on one of the DLL has it tagged as malware by 3 AV https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/431961c63bb6dbf1567cb0cc0b618a11548cbfd6e4a4f115f02e0bb35633b11e/detection. Most likely false positive. Since i'm not found of permanent exclusion, i've just restore and exclude from scanning the specific file involved (see screenshot attached) null Instalation went well after that. I've just submit those file to eset for analysis (and classification as false positive). pretty sure things will get back to normal in a few days as it did for the mig 19 dll.

  5. Just did that. Dll is flagged as "malicious" by one out of 70 provider, even a freshly downloaded one. 100% (well, 69 per 70 actually ) sure the DLL is clean and it's just a false positive. case closed. thanks all for the help / advices.
  6. Will probably do that eventually. I just wanted to be sure in the first place it wasn't a real infection. That's why i asked for the dll checksum. Yet, since i'm not the only one having this alert, i guess it's only a safe positive.
  7. My AV software seems not very fond of MIG19P_CPT.dll. I got this alert while updating to the last version of Open Beta : "a variant of Win64/Packed.VMProtect.AC suspicious application;cleaned by deleting" I'm pretty sure it's a false positive and that Eset AV is reacting to some king of DRM in the dll but may be someone at Razbam can : use the info provide me / the community with the checksum of the incriminated dll so that i / the community can make sure it's not a real infection.
  8. I dunno if that' been discussed before but will the radar improvement for the F/A-18 and F-16 eventually find their way to other platform (FC3 AC for example) or is the code used is too different for that ?
  9. Did you try a command line execution of DCS_updater.exe with the "repair" option from the dcs directory ? If i'm not mistaken, DCS does not mess with registry. Lauching "DCS_updater.exe repair" from the F: drive instalation ("<directory of your DCS>\bin") Should target the active directory and not the default install. If you need help with command line, you can PM me. P.S. Couple of hundred dollars for a full DCS install. That's quite a huge ISP cost :(
  10. Manual are indeed in the folder. One for the CE and one almost identical with a section dedicated to the EE. Is there any plan to put the manual in the user file section of the web site ? As i run the stable version, i need to temporally upgrade ton OB to get the last version.
  11. To overly simplify things, it seems like there's two kind of archetype in the community. On one hand, there's the aviation enthousiast whose motivation is to fly iconic (and realistic) plane. On the other hand, you have the competitor who is thrilled with pvp whose préférence is on the most effective (and modern aicraft) even at the cost of realism ( a.k.a. guestimate things because of lack of unclassified data source). It's interesting to see in the forum how the two vision confront quite frequently (even if we are all a mix of the two). I, for one, am more of the first archetype, and, quite pleased to see that after a series of modern module, there's a salvo of cold war jet coming (A7, F8, A6) etc ... Time will tell if Jaguar, Tornado and F111 will join the show. one point is certain, the more an era is fleshed out (modules, map and ground unit), the more interest it will get. Today, we basically have two era "ready to roll", modern and WW II. hence the focus of the discussion on them. It would be interesting to compare interest on the P-51 module, before and after the current WWII environnement was brought to DCS. I think most of us are quite confident (and happy)with the way you handle your business. As a customer, some of your decision made me happy (loved the introduction of "old" jets, the WWII era being fleshed out, etc ...) some less. In the end, DCS is a great game as is. Things takes years to complete (I'm ok with that as i literraly take years to learns modules ). Plenty of things are left to be done but ressource are finite (the only infinite things in DCS is the list of demand of the community) so choice have to be made. The only wish i have is that E.D. remain true to his DNA and continue to focus on realism On things is sure, if E.D. shut down, we will all be very sorry.
  12. Nothing much to add to the explanation of bignewy. Sure you get update earlier on the openbeta to the exchange of more risk of breaking but the delay in update it is not a major issue if, like me, you mostly play release module. The only two case where i think OB is more interesting than stable is : * you want to play online. A majority of server run the OB version (wich is a testimony of the fair stability of the OB, i think) * you play an early acces module like the F-16 and want to get the update module as soon as possible One interesting thing, you can switch you installation from release to OB anytime you want. You'll have to download a tons of update each time, but it's doable. So whatever version you choose, it's not a defintive choice.
  13. I got the answer to my own question. Initialy, defaut mapping for the TM warthog coolie hat was view change and i used to remap to trim as it was the real use on the coolie hat in the real A-10. I did'nt noticed that trim was now the new default for the coolie hat so, i mistakenly interpreted the fact that the coolie remain mapped to trim when i deleted my custom setting as "there must be another setting file somewhere" So to summarize, it still work as usual, defaut mapping, binding are still defined in the eagle dynamic folder and general / module spécific setting are store in C:\Users\User Name\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input nothing to see here :)
  14. Hello, i used te get back to default setting by deleting everythings in C:\Users\User Name\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input. Either for all or for a specific plane. This week, i noticed that, even though i deleted the whole DCS directory, some of my bindings (trim on my warthog stick main coolie hat for exemple) remained. Is there a master configuration file somewhere else that i don't know of or have i missed something ?
  15. Extract from a recent post on facebook they do not cancel multicrew for the gazelle, they are waiting for the situation to settle a bit around the desync issue. Only they will they be able to apply an efficient fix. Later in the post, they state that their FUTURE product will not be released with multicrew. So to sum up, multicrew Gazelle is still a real things, only pending for external element.
  16. Ah ah. nice one hughib. Does the ladybug has PFM ? Remind me of an old game, It came from the desert. Too bad it's too much work for little gain. would have love to fight giant bug and ant in a P-51. On topic, can't wait for the Mig-29 PFM too but it is suppose to come after the SU-33 one and after the Spit. I guess we'll get the new 3D model soon but we'll have to wait a little for au flyable new Mig 29.
  17. Here's what i have from a french magazine (aero journal to name it). They made a special issue on the jug and the various units / country that flown her (for non french reader, palmares means roughly score, victoire means victory, ETO, PTO, etc are the theater of operation.) The counting method is not detail (destroyed only ? Probably destroyed too. Ground kills ?) but a least, it can be use as a rule of thumb to weight the various theaters.
  18. Was'nt that because 8th air force merged air and ground victory to encourage pilots to do a little "cleaning" on their way back to home ? I don't know if the same was done in the PTO. BTW, the jug will definitively be my favorite ride in DCS WWII. The p51 will get all the love, but the P47 will get the job done :smilewink: I only hope it will not be the free aircraft. It's not the best plane for a beginner. A free spitfire will be a far better "first step" to get new player into our hobby.
  19. Thank you all for the quick reply. I edited autoupdate.settings and it seems to work quite well. no "Checking for update" pop up at launch. Now, alll i have to do is wait for 1.2.5
  20. I play DCS BS2 on a 7 years old machine (2 Go of ram and vista 32 bits). I know that 32 bit support will be eventually be dropped (something i can understand) and with only 2 Go of ram, switching to a 64 bit OS won't help. So, is there a way to block update so that i can stay with the last version to work fine on my machine until i buy a new gaming machine ? I have searched the forum but did not found an answer to this kind of unusual question.
