  3. Well done Admiral ... been looking forward to the finished product. That's the good news The bad news is HMS Albion has just handed over her amphibious duties to HMS Bulwark and The MOD are looking for a buyer for HMS Albion, it would appear she is going to be sold off as part of yet another MOD Defence Review. The scuttlebut around here is to Chile, but thats not been confirmed yet. PS: Forgot to add - Twatting Politicians, scum of the earth.

Admiral and I did something similar with the Merlin helicopter.
  5. Many recent Mods have sound files included in them by the authors. Now I dont know why but I have found that if you disable those sound files everything that wasn't working, works again. Those mods still work because they simply pick up the default sound files from the game. I would suggest you look at ALL of your mods and see which ones have sound files included then disable the sound line in the entry.lua and remove the sound files until you find the culprit. I had this problem, and that's how I fixed it. I removed the sound files for the A4, the Bronco and a couple of others (it was ages ago and I forget which ones exactly now) A game update a while ago changed how the sound files work so I'm guessing it was something to do with that. PS: Something I forgot to add - There is a much more complicated solution that requires you to modify the sound files, and that works really well and leaves the authors sound files more or less intact, so if you crave perfection that might be your better option. This is just a simple solution that works fine for AI etc. The other option is here:
  6. I am not having any problems with this Aircraft. Ground units, statics and moving, are appearing in the ME (F10) and are visible from the aircraft as it fly's past them. Everything is working normally. You may have some other conflict.
  7. Interesting read - My question was does anyone know if they released those additional Liveries, and where can they be found if they did ?
  8. Did VSN ever release the updated Liveries pack for the G91Y. ? I have the G91Y with the Italian skinpack but there was a lot of posts about Portugese, German and US skins that never seemed to come to anything. Anybody know what happened to that ?
  9. How about some modern Engineering vehicles for a nice change - Beach Recovery, Armoured Recovery, Airfield Graders - that sort of thing.

  12. Please fix this guys, its a real pain in the ass, it keeps collapsing my nosewheel. This is a fantastic area to fly in and this airfield adds to the fun, but this fault is a real nuisance.
  13. Not wishing to dampen your enthusiasm Greg but I'm not sure stuff moving around on a flight deck (apart from aircraft) is going to make the game better. Coding any movement so that it does not collide with other moving objects, aircraft, vehicles or people, is going to be horrendous. Moving aircraft lifts and ammo lifts is a good idea, but anything other than aircraft is going to have to be confined to the areas least used in flying operations, so not very much really. Real people driving real vehicles on a deck can react to other movements, such as aircraft and other vehicles/people, coding that effectively is all but impossible I would say. You could confine it to just a single operation, a moving tow truck say, that moves in an area that aircraft will not intrude on - but lots of those and your into the realms of blocked aircraft and multiple crashes on deck. Its a good idea, I just don't see how its going to work - Prove me wrong mate, you usually do

Catering is so bad in UK Barracks and costs far too much for what is provided most guys/gals eat out where they can, The Royal Marines Commando Training Centre in Devon has a Burger Van outside the main gate and he gets more business than the main galley - that tells you all you need to know. Married Accommodation is truly dreadful in some places, not fit to keep pigs in. 30+ Years of political neglect has emasculated the British Military to the point where its just about not fit for purpose, nothing wrong with the people, lots wrong with the equipment and the politics.
  16. The Tea Trolley Lady is NEVER wrong ... ... Like I suggest it's sheers speculation on my part, we cant even find enough matelots to man the 'few' ships we already have and the figures are still falling with absolutely no prospect at present of turning that around, nobody wants the crap private company food, seriously crap married accommodation and piss poor pay any more. It's a very different RN/RM to the one I joined.

  18. Atlantico - Missing Texture for the Props. If the props are not to be animated then paint them black, so nobody can see them sitting there doing nothing as the ship hammers along at 20 kts !!
  19. The only skins I did for this were the LSL's, which ones are you after ?. Atlantico's deck skins are really good, they are exactly the same as HMS Ocean with the addition of the ships number, thats all.

  21. Looking forward to this ... but they had a dreadful attrition rate, over 50% of the 70 or so units built crashed killing about 8 pilots (not sure about those figures). Most references will tell you it never saw combat but I had an FAC boss who was certain he controlled a flight of them in the Radfan (Yemen) in the early 1960's, I controlled Sea Vixens a couple of years after that (1965) in the same place but dont recollect ever seeing Scimitars. Nice idea for a Mod guys, well done.
  22. Tried this with Vanilla Game, NO mods of any kind, loading time vary from 3 to 5 minutes. Once game is running loading a mission is no slower than it was previously, reinstalled many Mods etc and its exactly the same, so pretty certain its a game loading issue.
  23. Yes, it has the right number of Pylons, I might revert to that. I was using it before but wanted to try the other ones out. The VSN Aircraft looks better in a couple of small ways, both are good but the VSN one is slightly better I think. The only drawback is a period issue - No Exocet with the VSN Mod. (I think I can fix that using the weapons from the other SEM Mod !!) - Now fixed.
