  1. A great idea. Now I'm going to have to pull out "Low Level Hell" (again).
  2. Very nice. I've been away from this for a while. Can you please explain how you set up the RP2040 pico? I'm using a Bodnar BU0836X for my Huey sim. Thanks.
  3. For the last year or so I've been using the TCL 55" CLASS 4-SERIES 4K UHD HDR ROKU SMART TV - 55S425. Moving up from a 24" monitor it was actually a bit scary the first few times I used it. I have an older system with a GTX 1070 video card and I haven't noticed any problems at all playing in 4K. In my opinion it's a great deal for the price.
  4. I've been away for a while but after finally updating my simpit, video card and monitor I have a question. What is the optimum height or position for a large (55") TV? It's going to be mounted from above and I'd like to make sure the horizon is correct in relation to my eye height. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
  5. Great job, thanks for doing this.
  6. Great news. Looking forward to seeing the results. Thanks.
  7. I found this recently and it looks like it would be a lot easier to set up than the typical hall effect sensor and separate magnet. It comes in various shaft diameters. http://www.digikey.com/catalog/en/partgroup/model-6120/24400
  8. I checked with a laser cutting place a while ago and got a quote of about $65 to cut an instrument panel out of steel if I had a CAD file. I don't know how much aluminum costs but it would be a lot easier to work with. Now that Helios is available for the Huey this would be a great thing to proceed with.
  9. Not sure where I found this but here goes; 39 3/4" Wide 15 5/8" High (at center) 11 1/4" High (left side) 13" High (right side)
  10. Looking forward to the updates. Happy New Year!
  11. Looking forward to updates on this project. Thanks.
  12. Thanks very much for your work on this. Very appreciated.
  13. Looks very nice! Is this based on one of the simulators that was for sale a while ago? I may be interested in some of the instruments.
  14. Thanks for the tips. I'm trying to accomplish the same thing. One thing I am trying to figure out is how to export the gauges. Is there any way to do this yet? PS: kimmel please PM me if you'd like to share some ideas.
  15. Glad to see another Huey builder here. I've been working on mine since before the DCS Huey was available. I'm using the BU0836x for all axis controls and buttons. I'm still at the flight controls stage and once that's done I'll add an engine panel and probably follow with electrics and armament panels. I've got a bunch of UH-1 measurements if you're looking to build it with some accuracy. Let me know. Thanks.
  16. Great, I'll give it a try. Thanks for the info.
  17. Did you by any chance measure the voltage range for this setup? I've tried a number of different hall sensor configurations and can't seem to get a decent enough range to provide the appropriate sensitivity. Thanks.
  18. I'm not any kind of map maker but there are still lots of traces of old bases in Vietnam. Camp Radcliffe http://goo.gl/maps/HgvsN LZ English http://goo.gl/maps/PIBZS The question I have is whether or not a map can be made from say 1969 data without all the development since then. FSX has the very thorough Vietnam War Project http://vietnamwar.project.free.fr/ with over 100 airfields, additional aircraft etc. With this and the recommended terrain mesh installed it makes for very good flying from a historical perspective. It is obviously lacking some of the advantages of DCS however.
  19. Motorcycle steering dampers are popular. You can find adjustable ones on eBay either new or used.
  20. Nice site Jaroslav. I am very interested in your switch panels. Do you have a rough idea of how much they might cost? I see from your site you're a Catalina fan. I had the good luck to fly one of those for a couple of hours about 20 years ago. If interested look for dhc6pilot on Youtube. I've posted a few videos of firefighting Cansos in Northern Canada.
  21. Great looking stuff. Look forward to seeing your progress and pricing estimates when ready.
  22. Hi Glider, Amazing work! I am interested in the Huey Engine Control panel and the panel with the Hydraulics and Force Trim you did for another poster. When you have a chance I'd like to find out how to order. Thanks very much.
  23. I was starting in SIM mode. I'll give that renaming a try today. Thanks.
  24. I just tried again after updating. The controls work fine when checking the axis tuning then when I select Instant Action, they're frozen. Nothing working.
