  1. I went ahead and bought the map, and it was worth it for sure. The flat areas still have enough bumps to it to really create a more interesting battlefield for combined arms ground units. The trees work far better as well.
  2. Well thats the thing right, quite a lot of cash for checking something out :)
  3. Strange that one can crash in the trees but the AI los is not blocked still... Anyway, if looking on the nevada map from a combined arms perspective, what does it add to gameplay? Better ground textures? Maybe better trees? More hills and smoother ones? - This would be great if true, that there is just less flat land.. anyone that can give some info on this is welcome indeed. From what I have seen online it seems mostly like big really open areas as well as really crowded cities.
  4. Thinkinga about investing in the Nevada map and moving over to not using steam just to enter 2.0 of DCS, altough a big question for me, really, is: Does the nevada map have proper trees that you crash if you fly into and the AI can not just see through? Might sound pity but for helicopter and combined arms this is something that really kills the game for me at times.
  5. By the way, adding another question: Are the old F-15 videos on flankertraining.com still relevant? I guess that goes for flamng cliffs 2 videos in general as well...
  6. Foolish me just found the eagle wiki for the a-10, loads of geat info there. Sorry guys for not checking things out better The manual I am reading, but as pointed out here, it gets dry when pushing through. Any good audiobook written or co-written by a A-10 pilot or similar? Would be great to get some feel into the dryness :)
  7. Hello I just posted a similar post regarding the DCSA-10 but as I have the same inquiry about two distinct air crafts, in different DCS modules... I Will post here as well. I recently acquired FC 3 and I am eager to get into the learning the F-15C. I have flown a lot of WW II fighter sims in the past but the last modern jet sim was something like Falcon 2 :) Flew a bit of black shark one when it came out but that isn't in the same ballpark. Unfortunately I will be away from my stationary computer and my flying gear for a month or two, so I turn to you guys for tips on " offline" training material. With offline I'm referring to material that can be read or watched outside of the sim itself. I will have access to my laptop, iphone and internet - so anything that I can watch and/or read on these devices. I am mostly interested in information that directly will improve my understanding about the aircraft and its systems relative to how they work within the sim, also the fact that the information teaches without having hands on access to the sim itself. Thanks before hand guys!! Hope to get airborne as soon aspossible and maybe fly with some of you :)
