  1. A shame a depository wasn't setup for CH Hotas profile downloads. A fantastic piece of gear that runs fine in Windows 10,just uninstall ,remove, disable, get rid of Windows Store ,in the task manager also and CH Manager and the CH Hotas perform as solid as a rock.
  2. I did find the fix for this. Removing Windows Store. If it sits in task manager as a process, end task and then magically the CH hotas controls connect again. There are ways of removing it on you tube.
  3. I tried to make a cmc file but it wasn't recognised in CH manager. I try to make profiles from other profiles but flight simming is for the extreme patient and I aint. I have read the dummies guide for the Ch hotas and the section on making a cmc file is very vague and I tried what they told me in the pdf but CH Manager does not recognise the file.
  4. CH Hotas is garbage in Windows 10,always disconnects.
  5. Buttons don't work. I remember I had to do something in CH manager. Don't know what,a delay function to get functions like flaps to work. I absolutely hate flight sims for Hotas setup. I spend more time farting around in my controls than actually playing the game, drives me crazy. Hardly played this because the controls are just too complicated, remembering what each button does, staring at an a4 sheet of paper, going blind. I think racing is more fun because of the simplified controls, flight simming is like putting your head on a chainsaw,no fun.
  6. Ty kindly. I will look into Joystick Gremlin. Looks more complicated to use especially creating a profile with shifted functions,CH manager is simple to use compared to Joystick Gremlin though it has a handy id checker.
  7. Bob Church, the creator of CH Manager has retired. Looks like we are stuck with 4.55a.
  8. I have windows 10 64 bit installed on a superfast M.2 ssd stick and it boots up wonderfully. Pity,CH Manager does not work in Windows 10 so am grounded.
  9. Looks great the specs, slightly higher res than the Rift and Hive. Looks like a great introduction for those who haven't dipped their toes yet. Great head tracking as well ,thanks for the info.
  10. I guess you can only use the buttons on the hotas and not shifted functions where you can double up the button use when you use CH Manager. It's when you download a map to the hotas through the software, that the muck hits the fan. The sticks become renamed CH Control Manager device 1 ,2 and 3 instead of CH Fighterstick,CH Pro Throttle and Ch Pro Rudder. I think it's this renaming that Windows 10 gets confused with and changes the id for the devices. If CH rejigged the software so the devices don't get renamed when put into mapped mode, maybe that would fix the problem?
  11. Don't you lose the shifted ability? Gees, seems like CH Products are neglecting their gaming peripherals. Hopefully they are working on something.
  12. Spoke too soon. Loaded another map, downloaded and bam ,grey buttons. There must be another setting I haven't explored doing this in Windows 10. Registry I'm guessing,I have to venture into the scene of the crime. The CURSE of CH Manager and Windows 10 continues...................
  13. OK , I disabled sleep mode for every usb device in device manager but forgot about another setting in Windows 10. Right click the start button, left click on Power Options, left click on Additional Power Settings, then what ever plan you have selected, click on change plan settings then Change advanced power settings, then a box will open,go to USB Settings and open up the list and set USB selective suspend setting to disabled. My controllers popped up again in game devices. OK,let's see how CH Manager fares this time. Hopefully I only report one more post with good news.
  14. Well ,after all that, the fault has sprung up again. Started PC,loaded a map, press download and get the dreaded grey buttons again. This remains unsolved and a mystery to me. DO NOT USE WINDOWS 10 if you want CH Manager working.
  15. OK I THINK I FIXED THIS. Looks like I had a few things in sleep mode < had alot of usb devices put out of sleep mode but not all of them. Check every USB device especially the CH products devices and take them out of sleep mode. Any HID Compliant device,a few I missed. I was on the right track but was not thorough enough. Sorry to CH Products but for days I have been pulling my hair out lol. Going to reboot again to check. CH Products, sorry for being a dill ...YET AGAIN.
  16. Game devices ,it shows the CH hotas. Soon as I download a map to CH Manager, the devices disappear in a puff of smoke. DO NOT INSTALL WINDOWS 10 if you own this hotas. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! The Hotas is listed in device manager ,I rightclick the Ch Hotas device icon and "scan for hardware changes". Game devices remains empty. DO NOT UPDATE YOUR WINDOWS 10,CH manager dies. Now ,I don't know who to blame, Windows 10 for updating there OS or CH Products for not updating and evolving their software when Windows 10 evolves. I reckon the latter. Hopefully CH Products are working on a fix.
  17. Thought I solved the issue as I found thirty registry entries even after I uninstalled CH Manager. Rebooted twice and maps loaded fine, all is well with the World. Thought I would restart the PC and reload a map. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO,greyed out download and mapped functions buttons again. NO HAIR LEFT!
  18. I am having issues with the CH Manager software in Windows 10. I installed the program per the instructions when they tell you to plug in the controllers first before installing CH Manager. I plug in the Controllers, reboot, install Ch Manager, reboot, load a map and all is fine. When I power up my PC again and load a map,the download button and mapping modes buttons are greyed out and I have to do the install dance again by unplugging my controllers, uninstalling Ch Manager and doing the install dance again. This has happened five times now. I have been pleading for help at the Ch Hangar but no one answers posts over there anymore. Just wondering if anyone has a Ch hotas and using the CH Manager software with Windows 10 can shed some light on how to fix my problem. Thank you. Spent hours and hours on my CH DCS World Su 27 profile map and now this rubbish. Ch manager works great,it's only when I shut the PC down or restart,it fails, really going bald here.
  19. I have tried alot of different settings including calibrating the ministick on the Ch Hotas Pro Throttle but the radar cursors stick or creep in one direction before they move in the direction intended. I have tried 40 percent saturation and 20 percent deadzone in DCS World settings /Controls /Axis Tune for the axis but the problem remains. SOLVED this by taking the ministick out of DX mode and using key presses.
  20. Struggling reading the hud as well. Need a 100 inch monitor lol. Even with track ir,it is hard to read.
  21. DCS World, the only sim giving me heaps of problems with this hotas. But I am doing the training missions which are loaded with bugs.
  22. Definately problems with this sim with the CH hotas. Elite Dangerous and Falcon BMS run fine though. DCS World doesn't register CH hotas button presses assigned to KB commands. I have to use the KB for alot of functions in DCS which makes the hotas redundant.
  23. I press left ALT plus q on the kb and the su 27 NWS steering works fine, use the exact same command on my CH hotas and the plane veers right with no steering at all. Exact same KB commands, two different results. Argh, this sim lol. I am using the POV hat down shifted function for NWS,it has a shifted dialog there in CH Manager to put commands into. I have NWS written which is notated as NWS LALT q in the CMC. Anyone with a CH hotas can shed some light? I don't understand why two exact same kb commands, only the kb one works, not the CH hotas interpretation. P.S. I decided to move the NWS to an unshifted button but the same problem exists.
  24. I solved it Rudel_chw I am an idiot, feel lower than an ant's ass. All I needed to do was wait a few minutes for the su 27's power to take affect and then once I started the engines,my face turned red as a ripe tomatoe as she sparked into life with a whistful whine of her jets and me looking at myself in the momitor with a pumpkin head. Then my throttle started moving lol,I forgot how much of a study sim this is,probably why I have avoided it and this is just the FC3 ac,think I'll stick with those. Hmm,no rudder control but I have discovered this bird uses toe brakes to steer and I need to turn on nws.
