Start a new mission in the Caucasus map, select Canada as the country to place a jet at Sochi (it starts out as U.S.) Hawk shows up as the A/C. Hornet is not available. The goal here is to have a generic (unmodded) mission with some Canadian Hornets on the ramp without needing to change the skin.

Canada has quite a few legacy Hornets. I am Canadian. I would like to fly as my 409 Squadron on these maps. Why am I prevented? Bug or by design? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/409_Tactical_Fighter_Squadron I can create a U.S. Hornet and then change the skins and Bort no to that squadron. But I want to begin a mission with the squadron.

I haven't updated my W7 since February 22, 2011. That's what? 10 years? Is ED still going to support steem? See? This is what I mean about loss of control and ownership over my computer. I just made two posts and the forum merged them together without my permission. Damm. Three posts merged. Now four! This is why I keep my W7 around. My gaming rig is, by necessity, W10. But I dislike it very much.

I'm still holding on tight to Windows 7. I'm typing this post with it. Unfortunately, DCS does not play well with Win 7. And now I gotta get Winblows 11? I sure wish I could go back to the old Zilog Z80. I wonder what the frame rate would be with DCS (if it could) run on an old TRS-80.... one frame per week?

Yup. Happened to me, too. Four tankers departing Kobuleti got blocked by one F/A-18 arrival. I just delayed the tankers for a minute.

The other day, I tried my hand at creating a AAR mission and all went well until, in testing, I called for a rejoin (from a Hornet) and got a good response from the KC-135 except for one thing: I had set the racetrack altitude to 11,000 and the speed at 300 kts. Sure enough, the tanker was at 11,000 following the course but at a speed of 250 kts KIAS. So, I assumed that the setting of 300 kts isn't being calculated correctly. I'm told it's been that way for years. Is there a way for me, building a mission, to get that tanker to fly at 300 kts KIAS (or whatever I need the speed to be)? And what's with the need to fly at a banked angle just to get into the basket? It would be okay if it was consistent but, my god, it's like balancing a broom stick on your nose! And yes, I know about turbulence and the jet wash but, have you ever seen any AAR video that shows that kind of fight? (And, no, I don't have a problem with my HOTAS and all my corrections are enough to fly loops with pilots flying the Blue Angels.)

Ran in 2D. Heartstopping! Created a mission for AAR. Tested well. Passed mission to prospective flight lead. He got it. He could not load into Multi launcher. WTF? Not seen in miz list. WTF? Windows said it was there. DCS said it was not. Mission creator (me) launched Multi launcher. Mission not there. Windows said it was there. I'm not sure how the heck I did it, but with loading and saving many different ways, it showed up (in several places!). I ran it. Flight lead could not join my server. (My issue, not DCS.) Side note: When flying NOE in a cloud, occasionally that cloud is solid and causes a RUD. (Mountain? How'd that get there?)

My graphix is off the motherboard. It handles Syria quite well. In VR, too. My rig? Commodore 64.

Catch the three wire with as little messages as possible. Ha! You don't know ME very well! Approach on the FB at 2,000 ft. At the ramp, dive straight for the LSO platform. You can catch the 3 wire (and the 2 wire, and well, all the wires) as they flail about the burning wreckage. LSO will give no messages to you. Ever.

I came in alone from starboard holding, at the initial I got pins and needles, then made the ball call. Here is my scores: BC LOL NSU LUR H TMRD UNERD AR SLO LO WO LOLA AFU LA 3PTS _OK_ So. For those of you that don't fly with hooks, I will translate for you: At the ball call, laugh out loud, not set up, lined up right, high, too much rate of descent, you nerd! At the ramp, slow, low, wave off!!! laugh out loud again, all f***ed up, landed anyway, landed 3 points, perfect pass. Am I good or what?

Not sure if this is still a bug or not, but before, you had to contact the Tankers and Awacs on radio two. They may have fixed this, though. In the ME, when you set the task to AWACS, do you set the freq in the Options?

A couple days ago, DCS crashed twice with the crash files notice being given. I allowed it to send the crash in to ED. I don't know if that helps any. I'm using a 500 GB m.2 C drive for Windblows 10 Pro, a 1 TB m.2 D drive for DCS, and a 500 GB m.2 E drive for recording nVidia videos as I fly. (I was not recording when the crashes occurred.) The E drive is on the PCIe bus, the other two are mounted on the mobo. All 3 are NVMe. I have a 2080 ti on the PCIe. my cpu is OC'd to 5.1 GHz watercooled and has been stable for years. I fly the Hornet regularly with fps in the 70's. Hope this helps
