Guns convergence and harmonization
Screamadelica replied to Yo-Yo's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
Guess I should do more research on this forum. Always learning. Some great information in this thread, thanks to all. Nice to have it confirmed at 250 yards. S! -
Guns convergence and harmonization
Screamadelica replied to Yo-Yo's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
What would be nice to know is what range the various gunsights convergences have been set to by ED. Is the setting at start up the correct one? I think I remember people testing the Spitfire's convergence to determine the range and coming up with results of 250 yards, which may have matched the RAF settings at some point. The question has been asked before but never had an official reply. Why the mystery? We just need to know so the gunsight can be set correctly, or is it correct already? Then again, " Just get closer" never fails.... -
I would so very definitely pay for this as as an added DLC. We must have it. "Antis" for everyone.

Still broken. Checked in the mission editor and the radio wasn't even assigned to the same frequency as ATC. Even after changing it , still no ATC. Trying to enjoy this campaign, but....

Hopefully coming to an airfield near you soon. Guess all the allied warbirds are next.

Nine men went to mow, went to mow a meadow....or at least an airfield. Maybe we could have a new asset to the ground units - lawn mower brigade. I'd love to see shorter grass, would look better as well as not poking through the wings.

Thanks razo+r. Glad it's not my eyesight failing and sanity is vaguely intact. Cheers.

Since the last stable update the steam engines seem to have lost their nice white puffy "target indicator" smoke. No steam for the steam engine. Cleared the fxo and meta shaders 2 folders after updating. Anyone else?

2030 would be nice, hoping I've got another 20 years left, so I may actually see DCS WW2 in some state of sanity one day....

Channel map makes sense as it sets ED up for a release of Battle Of Britain modules, which is something on their radar for eventual release. A DCS Hurricane would be awesome to fly. Just hoping it's in my current lifetime. And like DD Fenrir said there was plenty of activity with diversionary raids in the area prior to D-Day. Also allows for shorter mission times as there is a little less of the ditch to fly over.

How to set up toggle switches (a tutorial)
Screamadelica replied to Spy Guy's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Thanks LeCuvier. Looks ideal! I guess my question is more what do I need to actually have in the file being added? Do I just put the lines of code in the appropriate folder? Do they need to be renamed as custom settings or can they merge with the existing game ones? All the basic stuff that someone who is fairly clueless about computers can handle. Cheers, Scream. -
Will this DCS Campaign ever get fixed?
Screamadelica replied to dburne's topic in Spitfire LF Mk. IX Operation Epsom Campaign
Whilst you're at the ALG Saint Croix check out the jeep parked on top of the hanger.... -
But not the magic flying rainbow unicorns. Nothing scares them.

Normandy 2.0 instant action misty
Screamadelica replied to paulw10's topic in Missions and Campaigns
Best option is to use the mission editor and copy the mission, rename it and uncheck the mist/fog box in the weather. Bit of a hassle when all you want is to do a few circuits, but it is what it is.- 1 reply

How to set up toggle switches (a tutorial)
Screamadelica replied to Spy Guy's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Are there any how to guides available for making all these altered commands as mods usable for OVGME, etc? Would be a nice alternative to the cut and paste after every update. Cheers, Scream. -
This would be very helpful. Having a map that made direct references to the terrain below would make navigation with the kneeboard map a bit easier. Plus the ability to mark your target points etc and it would be a handy dandy little notebook.

DCS WW2 Remaining Backers Rewards
Screamadelica replied to Screamadelica's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
Just raising the dead..... Any chance of getting some official word on this? Nineline? Any Mods? Enquiring minds need to know. -
This would make the map so much more immersive. Great for all modules. Thanks for all your hard work. Hope it all works out as planned. Good Luck. S!

Reflected's video was before the revised cooling systems were in place for the Spitfire. I've noticed that no matter how long you hold the oil dilution button down there is never any dramatic drop in oil pressure like it previously was. Not sure what you should see in real life..?

DCS: Me 262 Discussion (Development on hold currently)
Screamadelica replied to NineLine's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
Reality is that multiplayer servers will simply exclude the Me 262, in the interests of some kind of balance. Which leaves a server exclusively for 262 pilots to practice taking down AI bombers and escorts. Easy. -
Please Update the Kneeboard Functionality (Especially for WWII)
Screamadelica replied to TPrince's topic in DCS: The Channel
This would be a great idea. Simple to implement and very handy. Almost essential really...... -
Well, at least I've got some new reading material now. Thanks DD_Fenrir.

I'd change the title of the thread to " A DCS PWCG is ESSENTIAL! " Options for single player flyers are fairly limited, mission and campaign wise, and not everyone has time to create their own. A dynamic mission or campaign generator would ensure there was always something different to fly. And help keep the log book tally healthy.
