Selecting CW Spit in "Instant Action"?
saburo_cz replied to 13sq*Axe's topic in DCS: Spitfire L.F. Mk. IX
The Spitfire with clipped wings has few mission on The Cannel, PG and Caucasus maps. Not all of them. The rest of them must be opened in mission editor and change plane to fly with the "CW" Spitfire. -
Difference in fuel density between main and slipper fuel tanks
saburo_cz replied to Lau's topic in DCS: Spitfire L.F. Mk. IX
In DCS Spitfire. Internal fuel weight is 247kgs, it is 2,905kgs per gallon. If i add external fuel tank, no matter which one, fuel weight is 370 kgs, then it is 2,85 kgs per gallon. Yes, when i add external fuel, weight per gallon goes down. It shoud not... -

109 in DCS and Beyond. Is it a Kurfurst or Gustav?
saburo_cz replied to Qcumber's topic in DCS: Bf 109 K-4 Kurfürst
It is still old K-4 model with its inaccurate engine cowling shape. -
You need at least 1500RPM (or more) to draw fuel from external fuel tanks.

Stupid question, do you use Normandy 2 map? Because these pictures are from your mission without any editing and without comm due to different frequency..
-
You have incorrect TWR frequency in your mission. Planes radios have set 40,350 MHz in ME, but Villacoublay has TWR frequency 40,300MHz. When i changed it, TWR responded.

The engine ratings in DCS K-4 manual is not correct. It is not for the DB605D engine. The DB605D has power settings special emergency 2800RPM / 1,8ATA with MW (10 minutes limit) take-off / combat power 2600RPM / 1,45ATA (30 minutes limit? ) max. continuous 2400RPM / 1,35ATA (unlimited) If you are on server where the K-4 is without MW, means that MW tank is set empty (or fuel is there instead of water-methanol) in mission editor and you can not use it even system itself is always instaled. Your maximal power setting is 1,45ATA in that case. If you try go above, the engine will die very quickly. some inormation is in this topic

Considering the Type 22 radars on the main mast, she represents second half of 1944 year.

1.9ATA / 3250RPM does not seem to be correct for power with methanol. It should be 1.8ATA at low gear.
-
The "increased take-off power" is name for 1,7ATA (1900hp) engine power setting in German documents - Erhöte Notleistug. Power with MW is "special emergency power" - Sonder Notleistug or Sonder Notleistug mit Methanol. In the end, the 3 min limit isn't just error in dcs manual, as often.

Elevator Trim Tabs Move Wrong Direction
saburo_cz replied to MadKreator's topic in Bugs and Problems
They move correct way. -
Am just asking. pressure regulator? automatic pressure regulator? Is anywhere used word "automatic" in conection with boost control in documentation for the P-47? (like in manual for the P-51, for example)
-
It is normal and it is OK. Green zone does not mean nominal range.
-
It looks like Su-22M4 "early". We had several of them. They were without system for TV-guided weapons. here is one Russian
-
Low RPM did not work for all external tanks, belly and wings. Fuel from external tanks is forced by pressured air and source for that air is the vacuum pump, its exhaust. The vacuum pump just does not produce enough air pressure at low RPM. I do not know if it is somewhere written exactly in the P-47 documendation, but i think it was in one manual for the P-51 which use the same system. We had here the same debate about the P-51 external tanks years ago.
-
Did you use that belly tank on ground at lower engine power? In that case, you did have insufficient air pressure to get fuel from external tank. To get enought air pressure you need some RPM above idle.

Could be set "auto rudder" or "take-off assistance" in special menu.
