Agreed with rossmum, I'd actually prefer it left as it is. Mission makers on MP rarely put down anything other than RUS or US so it's nice to have my own option.

It's different than the Mi-24 and I'm not sure entirely related as the reason for the problem thus far has been side-by-side seating. I asked BigNewy about it, this was his response;

To be fair, it does seem that the Mi-8 has took a back seat while they try to get further modules out, which is probably why it is being interpreted that it is no longer an issue of concern.

When, if ever, would you use HARS? Upon EGI failure? I don't really understand the two systems beyond one is a better navigation system.

This will be my final post on it for the threat of derailing the topic. I can see it from that standpoint, but if you take my statistics into account, I don't post that often but check the forums everyday and look at threads such as the screenshot update and others and I am always impressed. Don't forget that the vocal element doesn't necessarily represent a large portion of the community. If you wish to continue the discussion I will happily do so in PM.

It seems to me that pieces of information are what people want and that it would also quash "Silly assumptions". Reading through the forums for the last year, I get the impression that the passion of the community for the game is misinterpreted as moaning and complaining when all they want is information to keep the game rolling ever onwards. Yes, I know what you are saying, but theory and practical are two different matters! :D I will record a track and post it, I hadn't thought to do that but it will probably help more. That's the sort of thing I was looking for, I will give it a go working to this.
