  1. Hi, I did a "slow" repair (see screenshot), now Caucasus, Nevada and Normandy (V.1) do work. Channel and Persian Gulf don't work as expected. greets mugen Ps: I added tracks for each map and dcs.log. Maybe move this thread over to Channel or Persian Gulf forum section. PersianGulf_trains.trk Caucasus_trains.trk Channel_trains.trk Nevada_trains.trk Normandy1944_trains.trk dcs.log
  2. Hi, Issue-Report Game-Version: Open Beta 2.8.4.38947 Issue: Train sunken into railway tracks on maps: Normandy and Channel My guess: zero point offset (height) does not fit railway track height for maps: Normandy and Channel Evidence: see screenshots To reproduce: On Normandy and/or Channel map, place a train on a railway (add DRG86 and waggons). Run Mission and press Ctrl + F12, to watch external view of train. greets mugen Ps: Caucasus, Nevada, PersianGulf do work like expected.
  3. Ah, i see now what you're at. Sorry, I misunderstood this. greez mugen
  4. Hi philstyle, those shreds of clouds do exist IRL when it is raining, at least sometimes. The video is private but I can PM you the URL, if you want me to. greez mugen
  5. Hi, I think both of you are right. There is an elastic bounce, i.e. what BuzzU describes. The bounce cannot exceed its initial height (if acc. only by g force). And there is a aerodynamic bounce, i.e. what OnlyforDCS describes. Here the bounce height depends on forward speed and AoA. Gras runways are in fact more forgivin for taildraggers because of the lesser friction of the ground surface in relation to the rubber tires. Its is not the up/down movement that is importent here. It is the side slip movement that is dampned on a grass or better to say "not tarmak" surfaces. The tendency to groundloop because of side slip while touch down is lesser on runways with lesser friction and is there for more forgivin. greez mugen Ps: I own both ac but i prefer the 190 over the 109 because the 190 demands a more tactical approach when you want to fight.
:music_whistling: greez mugen
  7. Good P-51 Video I like this one
  8. Hi DieHard, that's easy. He says: Achtung! Feindliche Flugzeuge über unsere Truppen in [ZQ47 | ZQ96 | DK9] erkannt. Attention! Enemy planes spotted, above our Troops in [ZQ47 | ZQ96 | DK9]. So, you only need to understand the grid square. greez mugen btw: @eekz: ... über unsere Truppen ... is bad grammar. should be: ... über unseren Truppen ... :smilewink:
  9. Happy new year everybody, i bought the D9 Kompendium from http://www.luftfahrt-archiv-hafner.de/ In the manual of the Jumo A-1 u. C-0, i've read about run up procedure. There is a section about prop feathering to check prop adjustment. (1st pic) Does someone know, how to feather the prop of the DCS Dora? When i visited a guy who is building a Konrad, this guy told me that late Doras Props had an automatic, mechanical prop feathering system. (2nd pic) Does anybody have any further infos about this? Thanks in advance. greez mugen
  10. What a pity, I'm going to be at http://www.oldtimer-hahnweide.de on that weekend. mugen lots of fun to all the participants .. :pilotfly:
  11. Thanks eekz! This is a lot better than the large imposters, in my eyes. And, i can turn it off, if i want to. Great! greez mugen
  12. Hi, because of the bad rl weather at present, i had to try this myself greez mugen ps: relation to this thread is at the vary end of the vid, ie. landing the dora
  13. Hi Scorzy, i tried to join the Burning Skies Server, today. But due to integrity check i got this message. (screenshot) In the views.lua files of the chown ac, I limited maxFOV to a lower value. I don't want to be able to zoom that far out, that's all. Is there a way to overcome this without reverting to default maxFOV values. Maybe exclude views.lua in network.cfg? Is that even posible with the new IC system? Thank you in advance. greez mugen
  14. Thank you for your kind words, Sporg. Just a few notes (not advices): Carrying too much fuel, imo is counter productiv for such a undertaking in the Konrad. So, I asked the ground crew for just 25% of fuel. This helps a lot in regard to be able to get the nose down while in initial climb, after TO and relative high power setting. Retracting the flaps first (nose up tendency while power on) may help too because of the nose down tendency with extended gear. So, in fact the opposite to my normal TO procedure, where I try to get clean and fast asap. In order to manage the flare-out, I need to be able to anticipate the aircrafts behaviour at near stall speed. I'm practicing minimum speed behaviour, clean and dirty in safty altitudes above 1000m AGL. I keep an eye on parameters like attitude (AoA) power setting and sink rate in relation to IAS because when landing I'm going to be slow and nose high (3 Pointer). greez mugen
  15. K-8 is from 1957, i think jcomm has something like this in mind ... greez mugen
  16. Hi Starfighter24, it has been moved to the Mods section of the forum, a while ago. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=129248 greez mugen
  17. Hi jcomm, in DCS, for now, you cannot spawn anywhere else on the ground than on spawn points of airfields. I really hope that this will change before Normandy is released. For me it would be good enough, if we could at least place client spawns anywhere on the map (ground). Something like a custom airfield template, reduced to just the possibility to place spawn points (birthplace) for MP. greez mugen
  18. Hi, yes the airstrip is self made. In fact, it's just a field. I placed some objects (some are MODS) on it, really nothing special. If you want to TO from the strip, you need to land there first, as i did in the video. greez mugen
  19. Hm, sorry i think i wasn't clear enough. When i used the word eye point, i had the head position inside the cockpit in mind and thought you too. BTW, do you know this thread. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=96116 If I'm not completely wrong, then PeterPs mod is like what we have today in game (In fact, i think i read somewhere in the above link/thread or somewhere else on the forum, that PeterPs mod made it into the game. But I'm not sure enough about this). Ok, this is how i understand the DCS View system (6DOF). Eye point is where the camera is (what you see on the screen). The camera/eye point pans with a radius (distance from neck to eye ball) around your neck, when you turn your head ingame. when you turn more than 90°, your neck additionally pans around a point somewhere between your neck and your shoulder (but this wasn't your question). Zoom, in game, changes the current user value of FoV. In the file Views.lua, you can define FoV limits (min, max) and set a value for default FoV, to match your monitor situation. The main point here is the aspect ratio, like 16:9, 21:9 or maybe 48:9 if you have a tripple screen setup. This is where max FoV and the fishbowl effect plays its role. Head movement in game (compare TIR xyz axis) does not affect FoV. When i was talking about the eye point position, in my previous post, i was actually referring to the head position inside the cockpit. This head position inside the cockpit, the origin if you like, can be edited in the Views.lua file. Again, this is how i understand this. greez mugen
  20. Hi Cavemanhead, you can avoid the auto zoom out when spawning by manually zoom in or out just before you hit the fly button. In fact, you only need to press your zoom in/out button just once and the auto zoom stops immediately. Regarding your fish bowl effect question. The fish bowl effect is a result of too high fov (field of view) for your resolution. You can edit this in the modules Views.lua file in the root dir of the module. You might want to take look over here too. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2656026&postcount=61 Regarding the eye point position. You can edit this as well in the Views.lua file. Open the views.lua of the TF-51 in comparison to the 109s one and you will see what i mean. I want to encourage you to use the search function of the forum. There are lots of threads/posts about this. greez mugen
  21. Hi Cavemanhead, i do understand your point, regarding the china hat (I had the manual prop pitch on it, for quite a while). Same goes for the coolie hat. Manual push, auto return. But the coolie hat has 4 [8] positions. And, as the 190 has 3 flaps functions, the china hat can not handle this (apart from using a shift function). So, i decided to choose the coolie hat. But, it's up to you and your liking. MY WH Profiles are not a 'set it and forget it'. If something isn't practical, i'm trying to find a better solution. greez mugen
  22. Hi, i made this little video for you guys, yesterday . Full stop landing, take off and a goaround on a grassfield (1000 m RWY). [ame] [/ame] greez mugen
