  1. Miles, I have #173 and have tried to both PM and e-mail you my e-mailadr. I have not received any confirmation of it having reached you. Has it? Best regards Spiken
  2. MilesD -Thank you for the information- I have no problems waiting for my turn. I am on the list but do you have any formalized ordering procedure with, among others, del. adresses and payment options aso.
  3. Thank you for the information guys - I will stay with my first intention - to have the reverb released and properly tested in our environment.
  4. Interesting comments here - I am on Rift and considering a change - I read the 5K+ as giving a second to none FOV- a game changing feature. There are also a few drawbacks around 5K+, but I am missing a comment on 5K+ resolution compared to the Rift, ideally from a former Rift user and now having been on 5K+ for some time. Can anyone contribute?
  5. FireCat, Thanks for adding me - and you have been working for us all. MilesD - Somewhere down the line, I still think you are quite happy with yourself.
  6. I discovered this thread abt. 10 days ago. After having read it for a minute, I was ready to place an order for the product described.Still not done - I simply got caught by what was happening right under my eyes. A forum assisted product development- WOW what a thing! Maybe a glimpse into the future of very close marketdriven productdev. I had to read every post. MilesD - You have, out of your own head and out of your own pockets, lead this unique project. You - Sir- have earned my complete respect and I am so glad that you have found us on the forum to be a shiny thing, as you yourself and FireCat are shiny fellows. FireCat - Please add me to the release list - This is going to be fun! - I am on Rift(maybe updating to the upcoming HP, but foresee no adapting problems).
  7. A most interesting read from a RL pilot, so Cake thank you very much for your input. Personally I do not think more needs to be said.
  8. So far VR is perfect for flight sims and will, of course, be better with time. For the rest of the gaming- and movie- industries, I am not sure they have even yet started to adapt to the possibilities offered by VR.
  9. To the whole of Heatblur: Thank you! and I expect to be impressed.
  10. Another fun thing in VR, if nobody has mentioned it before, Eject and have nice parachute ride.
  11. David OC, Your view on the use of VR vs Screen makes perfect sense. I only think the VR option should be mentioned for people about to spend money on screens.
  12. I would really recommend for you to go VR. There is a whole wealth of information on these headsets under the heading "Input and Output", section "Virtua Reality" on this forum. I am not alone when, I say that "Once tried, you will never go back to "Screenflying" again". It is just so damned realistic a flying experience, you wont believe your eyes. There must be a computer outlet, somewhere close to you, where you can have a hands-on initial experience of your own. (If not search one.) Good Luck!
  13. DCSW 2.5 is here - Long awaited - Beautiful and amazing! Getting it for free feels like the worst robbery ever. ED - Thank you very much for your outstanding, second too none, work effort .
  14. Akula optimus, Thank you again, This time I learnt that it could be worth while visiting the ED FB-page once in a while as well. Have a good week-end coming.
  15. Akula optimus, Thank you for your help - I,unsuccesfully, searched the forum but couldn´t find it. I´m really curious where you found the abv. info
  16. ED, Having read your installation procedure for the upcoming DCSW 2.5, it seems like our present systems, running, for instance 2.2, would be enough to also run 2.5 with a good result. This is however my own conclusion and does not necessarily have to be true, hence I am asking you to give me (and others) subject information. Of particular interest is the requirement for free disk space for the 2.5.

  18. Pochi, After some experimenting, I found the symbology - You have to have the HUD in its lower position and the SLAV SI switch= FRAN (in its left position - not mentioned in the training session, I believe) and as said abv. you have to fly really low to find the symbology
  19. Freehand, THANKS! The change to USB 2.0 worked! I am back to the full 3D of the Rift. I am surprised, since the recommendation for use of the 3.0 is so strong and I cannot say that I understand what has happened , but I am back with the Rift working and that is what counts.
  20. Thank you all for your support - On this forum you never walk alone. I am however, still stuck with the black screen and I have tried most of your suggestions, including changing USB 3.0 ports and the HDMI from its orignal place to the DP port via adapter on my STRIX GPX 970.
  21. Hansangb, Also a big thanks to you. I read your answer as you got everything working again by using the DP adapter. Interesting - I have to try that. Exactly where did you find a lot of info about HDMI and Rift?
  22. Cromhunt, Thank yopu for your help! I have tried various USB 3.0, unfortuneately without success. Backing windows is however something I have not yet done.
