Watch YouTuber tutorials, is all there.

For me this is really impressive.

For example: I'm trying to build a real life civilian traffic. All planes are individually spawned on the real air routes, every plane have a number and a different livery with keeping a different altitudes like irl controllers would manage. All will land in appropriate airports when get order to land. All this is randomised.

When at the start of a military operation in a region, having all airliner planes all over the palce, than all slowly trying to avoid a conflict area and been grounded, I had to accomplish a BVR mission. Things get complicated rapidly, not just when shooting a missile in heavy air traffic. Avoiding collisions in mid air, heavy air traffic, closed airports and redirections.

Doing this manually? Manually in ME you can at most set up a few airplanes flying some dump waypoints.

Yes !!! This is what I love and want to try

The important thing to realise is that RAT isn't an app or a mod. It's an extension to a scripting API called MOOSE (Mission Object-Oriented Scripting Environment). RAT makes it easy to write LUA scripts to populate the map with randomised air traffic, but it doesn't do the job for you. That's why it's in the Mission Editor section rather than the Mods and Apps section.

RAT is only going to be of use to you if you understand at the basics of LUA scripting and are interested in writing your own scripts.

    Thanks for this clear answer

it’s much easier than programming the thousands of lua lines myself, I only have to do a few (say, 20) lines of code, and then reuse them on every mission I edit.

If you want simpler then you are probably on the wrong game, try Arma 3.

LOL I really want to use it ..  instead of  telling me about ARMA3  just tell me your impression about the software.. You started well but finish poorly.. I want to use it just a bit confused of what to really do..  Really want to give it a go because I like traffic .  Ty

  3. How much effort is it to use it?

One important aspect in the design of RAT was to keep it simple and easy to use even for people who are not so familiar with lua scripting but also very flexible at the same time. The most basic example needs two lines of simple lua code. But there are many options for fine tuning.

It's confusing.. adding traffic is totally awesome but this looks more complex? .. I will test

  4. No.. oscillation is too high at lower to med.. So basically we have to fly on after burner all the time which it by far not how it works..  I have an FFB stick to take in consideration but the plane was lesser prone to make me sea sick or rock me to sleep ..  this is not how it should fly simple I know my stuffs.

  5. Impossible to fly it correctly at slow to mid speed unless you engage after burner .. 2 updates before it was much more stable.  Ground effect and atmospheric physics are not existent in DCS a big disappointement !!

  6. Lctrl+Lshift+F1 in VR with the MiG21 (I long forgot about this one ) Something was missing with VR and I remembered all my testing with TrackIR and it worked with the MiG21
Adding even more realism in the cockpit.. G-forces movements the head .. A bit strong in -G's it's nice, I wish they had this for all. Without it it's too sterile .. in an aircraft the G-forces really should move your head to a limit.. We must have it for all it is such a great feeling..
Try it.. This was good in TrackIR too
We have to have it enabled for all aircraft...

  7. With a good communication we can fix a lot of things, Axis problem? bug? etc.  even if you leave the engine coil front open or half it would not vibrate that much to brake the tale structure each time. and in many cases rudder remain active.. So if you cannot recreate the anomaly. the Rudder still functioning after structure is gone you can "Alt+J" to another P47  and repeat the same and then the rudder will work with a tale structure gone.

    easy

  8. Going with 5900X over the 5950X.. The 5900x has a stronger single core with more cache per core.. more room for OC .. Was hard decision to make but 12 cores is good 16 wont see a difference really just less pure speed. Photoshop no diff.. IMO the 5800X is a very good one for the price.. and the best is the 5900X if you have more things running on the background

  9. Looks so amateurish .. forum we pick up free .. come on ! there are some good options but what we complain is the Navigation is horrible and the waste of space is terrible.. I am using the dark theme but it is seriously lacking of where about reference points..
