  1. Interessant initiatief, ik doe mee!
  2. What a great idea. That's what makes this sim-community great. Count me in!
  3. people are going nuts, including me ;) everything is on standby:thumbup:
  4. it seems people are really affraid to miss the release by seconds. Seems to me a release before the weekend would be a great scenario. If it needs to be delayed again so be it. ED and partners must be getting so tired of all those people "demanding "updates and release-info from behind their lazy seats . It doenst help at all.... ED, thanks for all the hard work and a making a great sim
  5. Good job ED! DCSW 1.5, the next step into the future, with even more great thins ahead
  6. lets order some pizza night snack for those guys ;)
  7. gosh all those questions about when it will be released. We are lucky with such a patient guy like SiThSpAwN here answering that. DCS world (and therefore EDGE) is for FREE so give them a break.
  8. I was prepared and made a big hole in my wallet so the money can get out for this map and the M2000C. With the upcoming release of modules and maps, DCS has a bright future ahead. As for civilian planes, don't think it has use (except for AI trafic). Transports might be interesting someday during a good (dynamic) campaign to get troops and equipment across the battlefield. I dont see how flying an AWACS for 8 hours in circuits at FL320 can be very exciting... But thats all off-topic really... All the credits to ED and the other teams for making this sim!
  9. It depends a bit on which warning you get. (ALTITUDE, or PULL UP) GCAS has different modes. Predictive GCAS (PGCAS) based on elevation database loaded in the DTC. It will warn you when approaching elevated terrain higher then youre present altitude. Part of this is also Obstacle warning (like towers and buildings) but I'm not sure this implemented in the DCS A-10c. Turning off radar altitude will disable pgcas. On the other hand, pointing the nose down to the ground (high descent rate) will also generate a warning which has nothing to do with PGCAS. In the F-16 this is called GAAF (Ground Avoidance Advisory Function). This function is independent of radar altitude. see also this post : http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1560057&postcount=11
  10. Very nice video and music that fits the scenes... Well done!
  11. Well most things has been said, and everybody knows that every game has bugs/problems of some kind. And just when things get more clear and news has been released, people are gonna ask/wish for more, i.e. more dual seat combat aircraft. And then cry about this as it will take another two years to develop the F-15E. But just take notice of what this game will be like, in about a year from now ! not gonna put another list here but it is amazing and we all know that. So, thanks to ED, partners and 3rd party devs for creating/updating/expanding this great sim !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. I guess I would buy any combat chopper, I think they should do the W version, as we are having and getting plenty of old-school and WW2 a/c in the coming time. I'm more of a gadget guy so would love some MFD's etc :P and please, please get the F/A-18C/E ready together with this chopper ;)
  13. Could be it is accidently cofigured to some other function in the controls settings?
  14. Thanks for that. Anyway, after getting editting the stock FC2 F15 profile and trying it, it appeared I found out the other controls like F1 etc for views were not working. So I will take some time to assign all the keys in game, and maybe even get some more switch actions with the help of some of the topics on the new lua system.
  15. Hi all, After using a Cougar since I started DCS World, I now have a Warthog. :pilotfly::thumbup: With the Cougar, I was using Foxy to programm the buttons with either downloaded profiles or (in case of later modules) created/edited my own. Now with the warthog I was planning to use the Target software due to the layer functions (using S3 ) like I was used to on the Cougar. There is a lot of topics on this, stating there are conflicts between the DCS lua files and the target profile, and I am getting a bit lost. Also I cant seem to find up to date profiles (for 1.2.8 >>) Is there anyone with a one-package solution (pref Target profiles) or maybe Target Config files (*.ttm)? thanks!
  16. the best part about it, is that is has the markings of the 32FS from Soesterberg, Netherlands. (1954-1994)
  17. Im using a HOTAS Cougar and when I load a multiplayer session my axis settings are not loaded. I have set a bit of deadzone and curves (esp for Huey) but bothe on A-10c and UH-1 they are not loaded. Funny thing is when I exit the aircraft (or crash :pilotfly:) and get into the new one, the problem is gone. Anyone recognizes this issue? PS will try a single player session again to be sure its only on multiplayer
