says who??? VEAO said they would not do an F-4 because of financial reasons, that does not mean that Belsimtek or LNS or even ED is not doing one. As for the A-4, I have not heard of any reasons as to why someone would not make one. anyways, nice idea for a carrier based F-86 :) (i love the comment about the 100kts headwind!)

So the aircraft are probably going to be F-14, F-4U, and an A-6M Zero. all of which need carrier ops and new carrier models, soo... does this mean EDGE is coming very soon???

well, for one, I would not want to see belsimtek stop making aircraft to make a map. And for two, there have been several dozen wishlist threads about a Vietnam map (I myself have made several). And before we even make a Vietnam map, there have to be a few more aircraft like the: MiG-17/19, F-4 Phantom, A-1 skyraider, A-4 skyhawk, A-6 Intruder, AH-1 Huey Cobra, an updated B-52, and the F-105

I think that with it being so close to February, LNS should just go ahead and officially reveal the F-14 and the other two aircraft they are working on (hopefully a MiG-23/27 and an F-4).

Hopefully EDGE will have added Naval forces from multiple nations (UK, France, Germany, India, China, Brazil, etc.) and added some new ships (like the Iowa Class Battleship, Additional Carriers, WWII Ships, Etc.).

My vote is for a Vietnam map since there aren't really any vietnam era flight sims. Although eventually, I want a World map with the ability to designate the theater (like anywhere from a single city, scaled up to the entire planet!)

What is the status of the project?

I assume that most people (like me) want the F-4 because of the Vietnam war, and the want to recreate some famous battles. And I don't think that the F-104 ever fought MiG-21s, although I could be mistaken.

Well, one of the three aircraft they are making will be an F-14 (or they will be hated for all of that hinting at the F-14). I also am taking a guess that the second aircraft will be another russian design. So, it could be a Mirage variant, but I doubt it because RAZBAM is making a Mirage already

Maybe at some point, we will be able to have an ARMA style ground combat system implemented. Hopefully, if they even do such a thing, it will be after they make an F-4E and an F-14D.
