What does that do? Wouldn't that be just like not using the CH Manager and setting up controls in-game? Basically just wondering what's the advantage to doing that?

Well I was actually having trouble trying to assign them in-game. lol Seems retarded, but it's the truth, not sure why. It just wasn't the normal way of assigning keys, unless I missed something and when I say normal I mean you click the item you want to assign and then hit the button on your controller to assign it. Not to mention I'm just unsure of what controls are important enough to assign to the stick/throttle. I wouldn't mind checking out your profile for them just to give me a starting point, that would be helpful.

Yeah, do you have your Combatstick setup in-game or are you using the CH Manager? The CH Manager just seems rather confusing and well I tried setting up thing in-game and that too doesn't seem very user friendly. :doh: It not being user friendly and the abundance of controls to setup all just seems very daunting.

Well I just got my CH Fighterstick, Pro Throttle and Pro Peddles.... I don't even know where to begin to set this thing up. I have the CH Manager, but do you have to have it? Can you just set the controls up in game if so how? :helpsmilie: I'm just ready to jump in and :joystick:

Well right now I'm leaning towards the CH Products setup (Pro Peddles, Fighterstick, and Pro Throttle). They look so dated though, but there is lot of good reviews and seems to have a mass amount of buttons to program. So far seems like the best alternative. What do you guys think? Are they still recognized by most newer sims on the market? PS: Thanks for all the help and guidance guys, much appreciated. :thumbup:

Yeah it seems that Saitek x52 Pro is the choice, I just didn't like all the negative stuff the guy in that video talked about. I'm going to shop around and more and maybe find something that fits my budget.

I'm curious to hear what you think about the warthog and do you still use it?

Well thanks for all the comments. Another question I had was how is the online community, as far as people playing online? Is there lot of people online and is it pretty easy to get into a game? Also what do you mean by the joystick being fixed? I mean it has to move to be able control the plane, right?

Just starting out and looking to buy the things needed to get flying. Already looking to get TrackIR, just wondering what's a cheaper alternative for the TM HOTAS WARTHOG? Anyone have the SAITEK X65F or a TM COUGAR? If so, how are they?
