1. Thanks for all the info. was going to build it into a mission where the Apache would track down enemy radio signals from unknown locations. will do a work around on this as it could then be a relay from a ground unit guiding the Apache to a radio signal track. The Huey has this function though and thought the Apache could do this in a similar fashion. Again, thanks for all the info, appreciated.
2. Anyone know how to track down a radio signal sent by ground troops with the Apache?
3. Hi there. I have written a mission in the editor, basic, take off and landing as a test and when i select my Huye the mission crash. :cry:the same mission and I change to KA50 and the mission runs no probs. Anyone that can assist please.:helpsmilie: thanks
4. Hi All I am planning on building a cockpit for the F5 Tiger. However after relentless searching on the net for how to's, I have decided on the Arduino Leonardo board as it is picked up as a HID by default. I also read up on the programming (sketch or code, who knows whats the correct term ) and the wiring of the switches to the board. The wheels fell off with the coding and the wiring. The one person says wire then code, the other says code then wire. The finding of wiring diagrams is poor, generic coding is poor and I do not know how to write code. Sooooooo, I have decided not to go solo anymore. I am looking for a partner(s) to go into this venture together. If there is any one (or more) person that would like to join me on this building expedition please let me know so we can get cracking. My strong points: 1 - Building stuff (building panel with switches) 2 - Wiring (can wire from basic wire diagrams and can solder :smartass:) 3 - Good at following instructions (if explained clearly, pictures make life easy for me) Weak points: 1 - None, as I ask questions if I am not clear on something and I love involving people in problem solving. 10 ideas is better than 1 shitty idea  Looking forward to partner up with fellow :pilotfly: regards Toxo
5. Hi all. The campaign is done. I need a test pilot. First one to message me wins :-)
6. Hi all. Quick info. It is a conflict at a border between Russian millitants and US forces. There are 12 missions. No Bombing mission but you can change payload as you wish if you want to bomb. Cool voice overs (i m o) Even a matchup against some helos. Nice story line.... some navel attacking.... yeah, pretty nifty stuff. Also matchup against Mig 21. Intercept, low and high speed recon. Proper rundown to follow soon. pressed for time tonight. Chat soon
7. High there. I made a very nice campaign for my own use with the F-86 as the primary plane. I have been messing around with this for almost a year and as there are no known campaign for the F-86 I was wondering what sort of offset there would be in the community for this. I have 12 missions set up. Please let me know who would be interested in this campaign. I have applied for a 3rd party development license as well. More detail on replies.
8. I am using Killer voice commands, and tried voicemacro and various others. In the voice recognition panel all my phrases shows the macro'ed key, but in DCS none of the macro keys are working. Any ideas what i am doing wrong?
9. mission to make a mission Thanks for the feedback WC. I only saw last night the FARP needs fuel, ammo and command posts to function as a supply unit. The default air bases dont need. I changed that on the MI 8 mission. Need to repost it. Some "simple" stuff you named in feedback that makes a technical difference to the mission I will try and get my mind wrapped around it.... I am as I said previously a gamer and not a programmer....I know what i like to play but not always how to make it work properly.... The Huey can do transport as well. The MI 8 can carry 12 troops if I remember correcrtly and the Huey 6 troops. I got the embark / disembark to work on the 2nd try. Was running around like a crazy person in the house I was so excited. I am playing around with the FAC now on the MI 8. It is so sad that it doesnt work for the Huey, but you can use another Huey to act as FAC. They report enemy sited over radio and give direction and altidtude....kind of like 3rd prize.... I like the smoke markers though...and with the voice added it gives the feel of a FAC taking place. I will have a look at your "repaired" mission now. Is it complete in your opinion now? :( Back to the flying :pilotfly:
10. 3 mission in 1 ok here it is then. i have made this 1 mission into 3. you now have the choice of playing the Huey, the MI 8 transporter or the MI 8 CAS. It is a bit of a bummer for red playing the Huey. if you as the CAS huey perform your job right the red dont have a lot of chance, but YOUR skill will determine that. playing red transport is difficult. playing red CAS is a lot of fun. enjoy and please give feedback on playability.....:megalol: Toxo :pilotfly:
11. final test hihi i havent had a lot of time to go through all the testing. i have made some changes to triggers and added some more voice clips. i think this version of the mission is very close to complete. i ran it bot red and blue and achieved mission success and failures. the timing seems rather good on the triggers. the troops dont always restart after an engagement - ideas? the armour 1 group also got a bit stuck on one test after an engagement on the railroad bridge - ideas? and then the final problem - the file is bigger than 5mb----how do i attach it in forums? :helpsmilie:
12. thnx thnx WC i will have a look at the updated mission tomorrow night. was out of town for a couple of days on business. withdrawel symptons is bad not having been on dcs for more than 2 days.... thanks again. maybe easier for me to dress the doll and you to put on the make up....
13. holy crap WC thats a mouth full. now the short version....did you play the mission and did you find faults? I will write a similar mission as I think I got the basics right. This mission might have been a bit complex and not very well organised with group names etc. But i will do a better job next time. The flags and .lua scripting is like freaking greek to me. I have no idea how they work. As you said to me "use the ingame mission stuff and try to make sense of it". I am not a programmer....I am a gamer :joystick: and even then i cant always figure out how the hardware or software work :helpsmilie: I will give it another bash. Please play the mission though and let me know what you think. thnx
14. sorry all reloaded the mission. the spawn time was out for the player pilot. sorry....just download again and she should be good......also added some sound to the first enemy spotted as well as some red smoke and shit..... this is just a mess around bit of a mission... testing transport, triggers, zones, sounds, written messeges, time delays and some other stuff rolled into a nice starter pack i think. this mission will take about 1.5 hrs to complete, or if you check triggers and objectives, 30 minutes as there is a hidden objective.... 15. first noob mission - honest opinions please Hi there first mission. i did not spend much time on briefing or pics in briefing. just tried to get the feel of creating a simple mission. please give me all feed back. likes and dislikes. if the likes are good i will spend more time in making better missions. if it sux i will only fly....:pilotfly:
