  1. F-18 SLAM-ER when launched with Steer Points stills seem to circle…. It was at an SA-10, so near a SAM site. I’ll attach a Tacview later.
  2. That is great and I will give it a go…. I’ll report back here idc Would I be right in saying we can define an LED output for any switch. So we could have a DcsBios::LED LTDR(?x???, ?x????, pin?) ???
  3. I have read all this and have a little lack of knowledge. That may also apply to others, so I will use the aviation excuse that “there are no dumb questions” and “never assume, check” and ask… 1. DUE? 2. FASTLED 3. I did work out what a Darlington Cascade is - An electronic circuit using two or more transistors to multiply current gain enough to power the magnetic coils. @No1sonuk - As I am in VR, I have no interest in cockpit lighting, so I like your solution. I can redesign my switches to have SPDT so would like to use your solution. Would you expand on your information for me please, maybe via PM, or here if it helps everyone..
  4. Yes, I realise that. I wondered if any failures had been modelled that would cause a CCT BKR to trip??
  5. Does any one know if there is anything in the current F/A-18C that will trip a circuit breaker, please? Thanks.
  6. Does anyone know of any conditions that might cause any of the circuit breakers to trip within the F/A-18C module. I am NOT talking about conditions listed within the A1-F18AC-NFM-000. I mean conditions within the game. I am looking to use actual circuit breakers and it would be useful to identify, the breaker tripping and use a FET to drive enough current to actually trip the circuit breaker for real.
  7. The links in the first two posts no. Longer seem to work. May we have updated links please…
  8. How do we use this for the Nevada Map please?
  9. L Thanks. I will try this out. We will slowly get there. !!! Edit: diodes added https://drive.google.com/file/d/101dL8J1KsUmTymxrboTi0x-fKPqR-cGt/view?usp=drivesdk
  10. I have a solution using software called SVMapper - There is a link to it on here. This software runs parallel with DCS and sees the boards (Leo Bodnar BU0836A for example) the switch is connected to. Use a Momentary-Off-ON switch. The cover forces the switch to Mom. When to cover is lifted the switch moves itself to Off. This can be detected by SVMapper and used to send the keyboard Command for Cover Up. The switch can now be moved to ON When the cover is closed the switch is forced to Mom and SVMapper can detect this and send the keyboard command for Cover Down. I also use this for the Spin Recovery switch.
  11. I am having similar trouble and may have toasted a MOSFET due to back EMF. Would you nominate a diode (to order - AliExpress maybe) and add it to your circuit diagram for clarity, please? I am using the 4 channel version of the same board as @Studsmcgee, and have single channel version on order. DCS:Bios - I am also very new to C++ and DCS Bios. My controls are combined with other controls of the Left Hand Rear Panel of the F-18. So, I am intending Coils for; APU, Crank Left, Crank Right and Fuel Dump switches. Hence the 4 Channel MOSFET board. I am also working on the Launch Bar and Hook Bypass switches. For these I need to detect the Release conditions: All switches - Loss of all electrical power to the aircraft. It is hard to identify which combination of Batt, L Gen & R Gen causes each switch to release. APU - “Returns to OFF 1 minute after the second generator comes on the line provided the bleed air knob is not in AUG PULL.” Crank Left & Right - Engine reaching “self-sustaining rpm” (I am assuming >60% Ng) Fuel Dump - “BINGO” signal, “FUEL LO” signal and I am researching anything else. Launch Bar - “At the completion of the catapult stroke, launch bar/catapult separation occurs and the return springs cause launch bar retraction …”. So we can detect this with Weight on Wheels maybe. I don’t know if WonW is a DCS Bios signal! Or Gear up (which is a bit backwards)!!! Hook Bypass - “… automatically goes to CARRIER when the arresting hook is lowered or aircraft power is removed.” I have yet to consider the four Ground Power switches or the Laser Arm switch.
  12. Thanks I have been wondering about this.
  13. It seems to have fixed itself!!! Nope - Still doing it. So,SRS gets a TR against the radio WITHOUT VA running. When VA is runing using the ViacomPro App I get this double transmit request that causes the SRS window TR to flash momentarily!!! Any Ideas guys?
  14. Looking for help - I seem to have a problem where Voice Attack will not stay listening - And this i snot a problem when "Enabel Plugin" is unchecked. F/A-18 in DCS with TX nodes set to Throttle transmit switches. The Comm1, Comm2, and MIDS A are set to TX1-3 The correct switches are in the ViacomPro profile When I transmit the "Listening resumed" is immediately followed by "Listening suspended"! However, the Intercom and Aux nodes work fine!!! Although the AUX node switches on the RLY Amber light on ViacomPro Control Panel! Any help would be greatly appreciated
  15. I flew them for 20 years. I might be able to help those interested in building them
  16. I may be dumb here but what does this mean? "Fist, load MIST last version" Now I realise you mean "First", but what is MIST and where do I get the latest version???? Sorry for being dumb. Can this mod be loaded using OvGME?
  17. rHi Everyone Firstly, I am trying to put together an F-18C cockpit..... Secondly, , this is quite a long thread and reading all of it to find out what it is all about is not easy... I appreciate, I am a "little older", and come from a time when technical drawing were written with a 5H pencil, but I am hoping to get plans to help me build the cockpit... I am sure it is completely obvious to the competant, but I am looking at the github andI am really not sure about exactly what I am looking at!!!! I would like to get plans and dimensions from it, but that does not appear to be that easy!!! I see a bunch of .pdf files that give exploded views of various parts, but there is little dimensional information on there. I also see the manufacturing folder. Within that are various files with extensions that obviously mean something to people, like .stl or .dfx for various items, Some display 3D rotating images of the item and some of the files just appear to be a mass of code!!! Can someone just please explain what this is all about and is it possible to start to build a cockpit from this information? I do appreciate that it is a work in progress. Thanks for any help that can be passed on.... Edit: I am working back up the thread and I am seeing alot of TLAs... !!!!! May we have a decode please... CAD - Computer Aided Design COTS - Commercial Off the Shelf? CNC - PETG - FDM - FFF - DLP - ABSIS - PET - PLA -
  18. Where withing DCS is the Location of the Screenshot Folder defined. As Mine is pointing to a drive I no longer have, please? Thanks for any help...
  19. How about it remaining on screen longer, Say the same number of seconds as spaces in the text + 3... That would work
  20. We had a BCN in the Westland Lynx HAS Mk3. I seem to remember we could set codes up to 7. Basically a radar (that could receive the BCN - and my H175 has such a radar) would see a number of "eyebrows" going away from the radar contact that equated to the binary of the code, I think... _ _ * The above would equate to Code 5 It was a simplified ID system but not IFF. We also had a Transponder and I think all that did was make the radar return stronger. Dumb thing was it was moved from the front to the back of the aircraft when we went to the Lynx HMA Mk8 to make room for the Passive Identification Device (FLIR)) and so the ship's Helicopter Controller (HC) could see you right up until you turned final to the ship at which point the transponder was obscured by the rest of the airframe and the HC lost you in the clutter!!!
  21. OvGME links seem to be broken. Does anyone have up to date links for this GME please?
  22. Brilliant - Thanks.... I have been trying to work that out for days!!!
  23. Hi Chaps Very frustrated here... I have allocated the Twin Throttles of my Virpil Mongoose T-50 to the "Axis Commands" / "Thrust Left" and "Thrust Right" and when I move the throttles the white lines in the "Adjust Controls" window move correctly. I have selected the "Axis Tune" and the Large and small dots move perfectly in response to control inputs. However, the throttles in the cockpit remain very fixed at Stop. I have tried allocating the Joystick axis to the throttles to prove it is not the Throttle Hardware by there is still no response to the joystick. Yes, the joystick causes the stick to move in the cockpit. I have electrical power on the aircraft. I have tried with the APU running, I have tried with the Finger Lifts up. As I say, it is weird as the "Adjust Controls" appears to work perfectly... Any Ideas, Please???? Thanks Edit: Throttles in aircraft are not reacting to the keyboard commands either. Everything else seem to!!!
