  1. Awwww come on! Please, we're trying to sell those planes to India right now. What's the problem with boosting a bit the marketing arguments? :p
  2. MMh one thing for sure, the acting should not cost much.
  3. Hi exnihilodub, I'm not 100% sure I get your problem. Just for the sake of clarification, if you didn't know already, ABRIS and the PVI800 are communicating only one way: PVI -> ABRIS. PVI can't receive any data from the ABRIS, as the latter is a late addition to the KA50. While the ABRIS will be able to find the equivalent WP to what the PVI is currently set at, the reverse is not possible. And it's the PVI that communicates with the autopilot. It's not mandatory for WP nomenclatures to match, if I'm not mistaken. Sorry if you knew all this already.
  4. Hi Batikba, at the moment, axis based functions such as throttle and rudder are not mappable on the keyboard in the Mirage module. It's a bug and it's going to be fixed. Here's one of the threads about that problem: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=156417&highlight=rudder The solution right now is to map it to a controler axis if you have one.
  5. UUuuuuaaaaarghhhh YAY! It worked! Thanks a lot! :)
  6. Hey there, I appear to have the same issue as OP: updated DCS 1.5 is working, but trying to get into any server in MP will prompt me to the map, then the screen will go black and after a click or two, the windows "kill or wait for answer" message appears. You'll find my zipped log folder attached. Thanks a bunch! Logs.rar
  7. Hi LcSummers, just to be sure, is your radar power switch actually on? It should be on "EM" position. Page 87 of the manual, for reference :)
  8. *Must..nnnnnnnggh... Must refrain... from doing... Police jokes.. Ggggh... AAARH IT PLAYS "ROXANNE" WHENEVER AN ALARM KICKS IN SORRY SORRY I'M SO SORRY
  9. MhuahahahaHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA AT LEAST HERE IT IS!!!!! Thank you soooo much RAZBAM, it's looking fabulous! I tried it over Nevada, while tears of joy were flooding my helmet. It's such a pleasure to fly.
  10. Not a proper sim in the academic sense, but this one was my first most beloved game of all time. How much I'd love to see a third episode! The one and only: Then, my first "real" sim was, as for some of us it seems, Gunship: I played both on Atari ST.
  11. Let's bet, you and me :) -If RAZBAM Mirage never comes out for DCS, I'll offer you the module of your choice in the DCS library. -When it comes out, you'll offer that Mirage to me. Deal?
  12. Extremely hard to chose. But since it's the point, here I go: Bigfoot interactive tutorial missions, in my case. Even though I don't need them anymore, without them (and the manual as an in-depth support), I would probably still be stuck, due to the lack of time for learning the hard way (manual only). I still don't understand why it has not been included as an official content :D
  13. My friend, you need to understand how does trim work in that specific helo :) And I'm not saying this to make fun or anything. Trimming in the KA is a different concept overall. If you don't want to go through the manual yet (and that's perfectly right, though you'll have to do so at some point), you can still read this very comprehensive guide: http://www.simhq.com/_air13/air_428a.html Also, don't bother with the default training videos. Bigfoot has made some incredibly convenient interactive tutorials, in the same vein as the one for the A10c. PeterP has made a package out of those, to be fully integrated in the tutorial menu. I strongly suggest you give them a try. http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/173790/
  14. Tell you what: send us a track of you trying to handle that trim. I'm sure we'll be more helpful that way, as we'll see what you could do better ;) On a sidenote, to avoid confusion, FD mode is (yet another) autopilot mode in the KA. It stands for "Flight Director". This mode uses the currently active AP channels to smooth your control inputs and make the helo much easier to fly. But it overrides the AP channels 20% authority over the controls, which means that if you re-center the stick, the helo won't try and get back on the trimmed attitude. This is a great way to free-fly and chill out, but also to use your rockets, actually.
  15. You'll get use to it, eventually. Right now, I can't notice the re-center process anymore, even after a wide input. Do as BitMaster says, as it it a precise way to control the amount of counter react you'll get. This way you'll get a feel of how far you can go with the stick before entering the bump zone. In time, you'll notice that you'll allow yourself wider moves, and they will be a lot smoother too. It won't be as harsh as it is now. Now, I suppose it's close to that sequence for you: hold trim - move stick - hold stick position -release trim - let go stick. This is not fluid enough, hence the bumps. You'll end up mixing all those processes in a very smooth manner, after some practice.
  16. May he be in peace, now. It's heartbreaking to see such a man crushed by his sadness.
  17. I must say I don't understand why you are so angry about the fact that they don't communicate much, or at all. I'd say it only proves that you really, really want to play their modules ;) The fact is, your money is still in your pocket, you have not lost anything to them. Of course, a DCS module is a product. But in Razbam case, there is no product yet, so what's the point in getting upset about it? It's not like they asked you to pay a few hundred bucks 4 years in advance to have the right to play space garage and space turret V.0.001. There, you could get pissed :D Relax, do/play something else, don't get frustrated. And when/if it's done, you'll have the choice to buy it or not.
  18. I don't get that part. Would you care to explain, please?
  19. Mixed reviews? About the module or the shark itself? Because the module is on par with A10C. The quality is stellar. Now, weither people reviewing it like the shark or not is a different story. It certainly is a very different beast and may not please pure helo flying afficionados. For those, the Huey is the way to go. If you were refering to the way your Rhino would fit the module specifically, don't worry. It will handle well enough ;)
  20. Sorry, I got that wrong then ;)
  21. If you mean for the .lua profile, it's a file editing via any good text editor. Notepad++ comes to mind.
  22. If you don't feel like editing one for yourself and can't find one right now, I strongly suggest you actually throw away your superstitions and give a chance to T.A.R.G.E.T. The only trouble you may run in is the way three position switches will be handled (poorly, that is). Otherwise, there are only benefits. Including not losing your profile at every update ;)

    X Series

IMHO, the ship designs in X3 were vastly superiors to X2 cheap modular system where they'd glue two meshes from their database, stretch them a bit and voilà, new ship. The Nemesis for instance, was merely a dragon given the lattice deformation trauma. I hated it whan they did that cheap trick again with the so called M3+ designs (merging meshes toghether) and some supposed new designs in later X3 expansions. My fav from the series, and I started from X2 to Xrebirth (what a super massive let down that was) was X3 Terran conflict.
  24. No. I've been perfect since day one. Never had any proplems :D
