  1. How so? It's a reddit link using AMP. That's a very common thing these days. You can replace amp with www. if you don't want to use amp. The content of the post then links to the github. https://github.com/Santi871/DCSWaypointEditor/ . You can then browse the source, verify for yourself, download the source and run it yourself
  2. Flew for almost an hour preparing for CAP, game started rubber banding like crazy and DCS crashed. Georgia At War v3.0.24_afternoon-20191018-204830.trk dcs.txt
  3. What did you use for the buttons? I'm having trouble deciding on what buttons I want to order for mine. I'm printing the panels from https://github.com/JonahTsai/F16/tree/master/ICP but not sure what I want to actually use button wise. Something SMD I think. I was leaning towards something like these but they have a really small throw and might not feel good to press: https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/E-Switch/LL3301FF065QJ?qs=sGAEpiMZZMvxtGF7dlGNpqqmTFthXBmfIww25WX7wJ8%3D
  4. What are the intended steps when our server runs a multitude of external scripts? Hoggit's Georgia At War, for instance, is not really something that track files are useful on due to the external scripting. Before "Its your scripts that are lagging" is thrown out, we had practically no performance issues for months prior to Friday's patch. After the patch all of our servers running different missions, even a simple training mission with no external scripting, are experiencing the rubber banding issues.
  5. I'm looking to start building my sim pit and have decided to do an F-14 in a modular way that I can swap out panels depending on what airframe I want to fly that week. Super MSPaint sketch idea is something like this: Where the outside boxes are extruded aluminum frames (or potentially just aluminum rods to be cheaper), with 3d printed panels on top. The idea is that I could, should I decide to fly something else, pull out the 3d printed panels and just drop in new panels on top that just slot onto the extruded aluminum rails. Then I could have some common mating adapter to a button controller and boom, in business. But first thing I want to start with is sorting out a decent chair for the pit so I have something I can start using to build around. Right now I fly in an office chair which makes pedals awkward to use. Does anyone know of any decent solutions for a GRU-7 chair? I've yet to even find plans to build a mockup one like they have for ACES II. I haven't got the tools (saw, saw horse) or a vehicle to actually transport large plywood sheets to cut anyway, so hand carving something up is almost out of the option anyway even if plans were available. I might settle for a racing seat but I haven't found one that doesn't scream overpriced because brand or expected car use. What I would love to find is a kit for sale of the pre-cut panels and shapes to build a seat, and then I could assemble just fine. If a kit like that was available I'd probably even settle for an ACES II or MK14
  6. Have any VR RIO pilots found a solution to be able to read the WPN TYPE barrel better? Even with VR zoomand smashing my face in close, I can't visually identify what value the WPN TYPE barrel is set to. It would be nice if there were some large readout of this maybe repeated on the kneeboard somewhere so we could change and visualize it there.
  7. There's a reason you're never supposed to take the client's word for anything in game networking. Client B could lag switch, or somehow spoof it to say the missile missed every time. Client A would then have to basically accept this fact, even if the missile should have hit and Client B was cheating. On the same point, if it's currently expecting Client A to just say "Hey my missile hit you" then that's also bad. With regards to networking at least, clients should be effectively dumb and report only their current position and actions to the server. The server should then perform the trajectories and analysis if what the client is saying they are doing is possible (to stop things like teleporting). The server should then report positions to the clients (who can interpolate positions between updates for smooth motion, but not for hit registration). It's game networking 101
  8. Bumping this back up because this is a pretty major issue for people with large resolutions. This image is taken on a 5760x1080 resolution, with a large Yak-40 target locked at around 7km (3.77 nm) away. The target was cold and I was following directly. This target is not obscured by the cloud as the cloud is around 15km away in this photo. If anything it should be easier to see the aircraft and its black smoke against the cloud. This image was even with the minSize of the imposters set to 10 so its larger than the normal setting of 5. There is little, if any, change for me between 5 and 10.
  9. Could use something explaining the difference between "Landing" and "Glidepath" selection for RSBN choices. Mentally they seem like they would be the same? Also a demonstration of SDU!
  10. I've had a tremendous amount of problems activating the smoke pods. Even times when I have all 3 and I have the configuration correctly, sometimes you have to just pull the trigger 10+ times in a row to get them to finally activate. I have never once been able to activate a single center pod regardless of configuration or trigger pulls
  11. Fun find with this, it does NOT show up 3 times for the Su-27 HMS. If that helps at all!
  12. Unlikely. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=147379 If you read their latest development update, we get
  13. But that is not the configuration setting I want. 1 screen is one single stretched viewport across 3 monitors, 3 screen is 3 individual viewports for no stretching
  14. As above! When I have Zoom View bound to "JOY_SLIDER1" on my Thrustmaster Warthog at the same time as I have something bound to "Thrust", after restarting DCS, "Thrust" turns red and is INOP. It does not function at all. If I unbind Zoom View and leave it empty, Thrust turns normal again and I can use throttle. If I bind Zoom View instead to JOY_RZ and leave Thrust as Joy_Z, the problem does NOT occur. It only seems to happen if Zoom View is bound to "JOY_SLIDER1" Fresh 1.5 Open Beta install, I have deleted and allowed the program to recreate the input profile. No modifications to the default.lua files
  15. I'm running the new 1.5 Open Beta, Resolution is 5760 x 1080, Aspect Ratio 5.33333333, Monitors "3 Screen" config so the triple viewport setup. When you are flying the KA-50, just activate the HMS. You now have 3 of them, one on each viewport as visible in this screenshot: I've attached a short track of when I found it. HMS was turned on a bit near the end but this is repeated every mission, every restart, etc. It appears to be using the center viewport as the slave target when unslaving the SHKVAL EDIT: Day time picture ka50hms.trk
  16. Look at the skin on the bottom right... "DRAKEN International"
  17. Only thing on there is the D model Flight Manual and the checklists for B. No Flight manuals for A/B
  18. Has anyone been able to find a nice PDF of the A/B NATOPS flight manual? I've found very few hits on google from some seemingly sketchy places for $20 or so which I am wary of giving my credit card info.
  19. I too have found a lot of trouble climbing up, and performing manuevers/combat up in the 20k area can be difficult. I always chalked it up to just being an SFM and I'm hoping with EFM we'll get something a little more sporty. Then again, I've never flown a Hawk personally so I don't know how it is supposed to act.

    Talking to ATC

Missing the ability to repair the aircraft without comms, since you can't do that through the rearm/refuel panel. C'est la vie
  21. If you notice at the top of the right throttle lever, there is a 4 way switch for the pilots left thumb to actuate. This is the mic switch. It provides PTT capabilities for 4 separate radios (VHF FM, VHF AM, UHF and INTERCOMM). The pilot simply presses the direction for which radio he wants to key up on
  22. Microsoft Security Essentials is free and is, frankly, probably one of the best anti-virus programs you can get
  23. Just chiming in... Got my EFM key and was able to go into the DCS license page and check the key. It showed valid and I was able to link it to my DCS account for anyone wondering where they are stored. If I go to the DCS Hawk page I can click Show Serial Numbers for this product and see mine, so it all looks good at least with being acknowledged on ED's side
