  1. I reverted to 2.8.1.34437@openbeta and it worked again for me Just stumbled over most recent update 2.8.1.34667.2 ... Problem seems solved
  2. Just did as suggested --> Naah, does not work :( Still embarassing !!!
  3. That's it! Just consider the LOS manifested by the reticle (crosshair) of the TGP sensor. ---
  4. +100 Today, after some weeks, I came back to the L-39C and wanted to fly in an open freeflight server. I just wanted to practice some navigation flights using the NS 430. However I could not use it because I could not dismount the gun sight anymore. This option was meanwhile removed from the special options for the albatros and was instead put into the ME options. At first I thought for whoever's sake, WHY this? What a SILLY idea!! :( But at a second thought I would now strongly suggest to make these options available in the ground reload menu for the albatros such that one is not hooked on specific servers/missions with dismounted gun sight and enabled NS 430 or trapped into the opposite.
  5. ... and RENO, Black Rock City ...:pilotfly::joystick:
  6. Skull is right but to be very precise, veryfy as follows: Installation folder: C:\Users\your_name\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Mods\tech\VPC-Airfield Equipment 0.9.4 beta to contain the following subfolders and files: Liveries Shapes Shapes NATO Textures Textures NATO entry.lua VPC_MAN NATO.lua VPC_NATO_Car.lua VPC_NATO_Car2.lua VPC_NATO_Object.lua VPC_Object.lua VPC_RAF_Car.lua if unzipping does not work as desired then rearrange it manually especially get rid of the 'main' subfolder given in the .7z Cheers T.
  7. taxiing with reverse thrust I observed that the wheels are rotating forward when rolling backwards using reverse thrust ... :music_whistling:
  8. "SSDD" To say it with Stephen King's term from the 'Dreamcatcher' novel: "SSDD!" I just updated DCS Alpha (2.1.1 upd1) yesterday and guess what: the UAE skin for RAZBAM's M2KC again showed the 'broken bort numbers' (see attachment). This is because update1 (re)moved my corrected 'description.lua' file to the '_backup.xyz' folder and reinstalled 'their' faulty one in the UAE livery folder under the ED installation. I don't know whether 'their' shall mean ED or RAZBAM. So what to do? There are at least two options: a) Either restore the corrected description.lua file from the latest _backup.xyz folder back to the UAE livery folder or b) install the UAE livery under your saved games, e.g. in "C:\Users\yourname\Saved Games\DCS.openalpha\Liveries\M-2000C\UAE Air Force" including the corrected description.lua and the _UAE.dds files. With the second option 'your' livery should be preferred on game loading and will not be changed by further DCS updates. Anyway it works for me like this. And btw, I think it is generally a good idea to install customer skins under your Saved Games folder, and the solutions are also applicable to the 1.5 version. Have a nice time T.
  9. Check the skin's "description.lua" file. Verify that the skin file names match the ones in the skin folder. Edit/update the .lua file if necessary. E.g. the UAE Air Force description.lua may say: {"TAIL_NUMBER1_001", 0 ,"M2KC_2T", false}; but it should read: {"TAIL_NUMBER1_001", 0 ,"M2KC_2T_UAE", false}; because that's the proper name of the skin file (.DDS) in the folder. Hope to help with this T.
  10. Well, for those which did not yet figure it out, here is how to fix this: Edit the "description.lua" file in folder "...DCS World ...\CoreMods\aircraft\M-2000C\Liveries\M-2000C\UAE Air Force" e.g. using Notepad++. Replace all the wrong names with the correct ones, e.g. replace line "{"FUSE_NUMBER1_001", 0 ,"M2KC_1T", false};" with line "{"FUSE_NUMBER1_001", 0 ,"M2KC_1T_UAE", false};" or also replace line "{"TAIL_NUMBER1_100", 0 ,"M2KC_2T", false};" with line "{"TAIL_NUMBER1_100", 0 ,"M2KC_2T_UAE", false};" Save the lua file and restart DCS
