  1. Hi,

    May I suggest something?

My landings improved a lot after I mapped the brakes to a slider and started to landing with a bit. brakes applied, something like 1,5 to 2 psi in the gauges. That helps with controlability on the ground, but be careful to not fishtail too much.

Remember, correct spped on the approach and a 3 point landing helps a lot.

Experiment with a bit o brakes applied and tell me what do you think.

All the best and good luck,

  2. We debated how challenging to make the missions and in the end decided the FE should be a right SOB and won't accept anything but perfection.

A bit unrealistic perhaps but we can guarantee you will remember the checklist after failing a number of times.

For me it was the Pitot Heat switch. I never forget it now.

    Tks Sabre,

I will give it a try, again... LOL

As you said, a bit unrealistic. Every single check ride has "windows" and, for the americans, most of it is listed on the PTS - Practical Test Standards - and the student may make certain mistakes without being "flunked".

Anyway, at my age, I avoid flying with a SOB, if I can... I am too old for this sh...t! LOL

If the FE is a SOB, the hell with him... LOL

    All the best,

  3. That's a good idea. We could put something in the F10 menu to allow you to get a success rating immediately and skip the mission.

We have a few other updates we want to make so we will include that in the next update.

In the mean time you can update your logbook as per this post.

    Hi Sabre,

That would be really nice. I am in the fifth attempt on mission

2 (cockpit prep) and I got a "too close" three times already, one I cycled the flap

From down to up and on the first I missed only one radio...

Too say the true, the campaign is quite annoying so far and I tell you that as RL TRI/TRE.

I'd never flunk a guy for the items I missed.

    Anyway, I will keep trying.

    All th best,

  4. Remi,

The guys are right, Andre is an excellent support for everything related to the Jetseat. From buying to maintaining, Andre does the job. You may say the price is higher, ok? I don't care as long as I don't have any headache.

So far, Andre is the vital link for me to get the Jetseat and the experience is awesome.

Good luck speaking russian, my friend. I am from Brazil, and I don't, not to mention that my country is very, very far from Russia.

    All the best,

  5. I used to use TARGET, but have gotten away from it and do all my mapping in DCS.

I find the DCS control setup menu to be more than adequate for my needs, even with some of the switch limitations for the Warthog. I love having the ability to assign a button as a modifier, great increases the number of commands I can assign to buttons. I typically use the paddle as modifier button for all my aircraft.

    Hi dburne,

I think I'm gonna go for that. I just configured it to the F-5E and I am pretty happy with the result. Thanks a lot.

You don't have to close the game, just alt-tab and switch profiles. DCS can hot plug controllers, even the virtual one created by Target.

That being said, I've created one generic profile in Target that maps every switch position to another key combo, and then map those in game. It's quicker this way.

This is a nice solution. Although I agree that script is a more powerful, I will try to keep it simple.

    Tks a lot guys.

  6. After all that info... I got in a crossroad...

I do like QuiGon idea of not having to close DCS to fly different aircrafts, but at the same time I would like to use all functionalities of the stick and throttle...

I think will try mapping it directly in DCS first...

    All the best,

  7. My Jetseat arrived today!

Andre, I can test the motors and run the massage routine in the SimShaker software, but for some reason I am not getting anything when I use DCS. I have FFB selected on. I only need the USB connection for DCS right?

    Hi,

    Try this:

If SimShaker stopped working on DCS 1.5.5 either remove the export.lua or check if the following is present.

    os.setlocale("ISO-8559-1", "numeric")

Remove this line from your export.lua and you should be fine.

    ----

    I hope it works.

  8. Hi guys,

I hope you guys are well and willing to help. I'm gonna use your knowledge. :helpsmilie:

I got my TM Warthog and I am looking forward to use it. I got it in USA, went to Bahamas, Germany, Italy, Portugal and now I am on the way to Brazil carrying this thing! LOL (pretty heavy)!:megalol:

Anyway, when I get back there (tomorrow), I would like to know the best course of action. So here goes the questions:

1- After I remove the CH stick and throttle (I will use it's pedal for now), do I have to install any driver?

2- Does TARGET software worth it? I like to program my own settings in the CH Manager, but I don't know anything about TM software. I was thinking about using Polaris' profiles on the beginning.

3- If I use the TARGET software to customize to each acft, is it possible to change the acft profile while inside DCS or do I have to close DCS and then change the profile?

I thank you in advance for any help. Once I'm at home I will add the serial number to the post database.

All the best and thank you!

  9. Sorry about the lack of updates guys but I've been really busy on other matters, having said that, I will have something to show by the beginning of next week. Cheers!

    Jose Valdez.

    Hi Jose Valdez,

    Looking forward to it!

Need a Piper as well though, not just the Tuc!

    :megalol:

  10. Guys,

Brazilian Air Force A-29 Supertucano shooting at a Piper smuggling

It is in Portuguese, he shots two warning bursts and the sot at the plane which performed a forced Landing later

Looking forward to have that on DCS!

  11. Sydy, my mounts purchased about a year ago came with the plastic guard. It's very thin, but for me it has done the job. I don't want to suggest that Pikey is careless, because it may simply have to do with the desk, but I have no noticeable wear on my desk due to the mounts. Seriously, no complaints other than that there are situations where they need to be just a little longer. If I knew then what I know now, I would have asked Monstertech to add about 3-4 inches to the height of the mount to better support center stick use.

    Aaron,

Thank you for your post. I am curious to see how mine fit my desk.

I will post a picture later on.

    All the best,
