Agreed. What's unrealistic is flying online servers where you're in a Mig-21bis with no GCI support, you're outnumbered 2:1 by enemy F-15Cs, Su-27s or Su-33s and all ground opponents are next-gen missile batteries. Even assuming the Mig-21bis has one or two 'unrealistically' powerful missiles and opponents missiles are nerfed (which has NOT been my experience, as I get consistently blown out of the sky while dumping chaff and beaming AIM-120Cs that impact less than 4 seconds after RWR gives me a lock warning) there is still a major balance issue. IMHO anyone in a Mig-21bis who takes out an F-15C etc deserves a huge hat-tip. And anyone saying they don't deserve the credit is Scrooge McDuck on steroids.

I got my first kill yesterday. But you're right, it's very hard - mainly because you're dealing with BVR missiles and better avionics. Your best option to balance the odds is to fly low in the hills near an enemy base along a known route and pop up from time to time to see whether you can catch radar contacts. If anything locks you up (this will happen all the time) dive and get them to chase you into the hills (if they're dumb enough), then at least you're balancing the odds. tsb47

First kill today. I think it was an F15. He tried to go for the high speed pass + gun kill, but I out turned him with my lower speed, he zoomed and extended but I locked him with radar and he ate a couple of R-3Rs at short range.

On my DCS installation, lights do not illuminate the ground ie, taxi light, landing lights, illumination flares - none of them light up the ground making them effectively useless. Screenshot attached. Strangely, the trucks that light up the runways at night when you ask ATC to clear takeoff and landing do work. Kudos to you guys. I'm yet to even lock an enemy on 104th! I just fly, get locked, then either evade or die. And the SAMs around the enemy bases are BRUTAL, you get locked and they fire at like 50km away!

I've been told your multiplayer tracks get automatically saved. I can't remember where, but probably somewhere in your saved games folder. I would take a look and hunt around as you might have those tracks saved already!

I've noticed the Mig21 doesn't exhibit the rolling right tendency at high altitudes ie higher than 8-9k and higher...

Exactly zero people are going to buy the module to play RIO so making people pay to play RIO is going to make zero dollars. But making RIO free-to-play will give people a chance to see the quality of the module, and they might buy the full module as a result. That will generate sales.
