  1. ok, great - thanks!
  2. ???
  3. Or you could just turn it off if you didn't like it... Personally, I would prefer if LNS put the finishing touches on the aircraft first ie, the internal white lights, fixed the skins so we could get skin packs etc.
  4. And I'd like to fly a Vietnam-era Mig-21 against period opponents like the F-100. But I was told it wasn't going to happen. (sad face) Hope so. Dunno how smart the pilot would be tho'! Stock AI might need some work.
  5. I would love a Mig 23. But my money is on a Hellcat and a late model Zero.
  6. Sorry, it was a joke.... I think it's the hellcat.
  7. I have trouble getting good spread with clusters too. Same results as above. Dive bombing spread - way too tight. Level/over the shoulder - no accuracy. Does anyone have any RL info on cluster munition deployment? Perhaps this is the answer? Maybe using the gunsight in manual mode with some calculations? t
  8. I think it's a Spad. Who wouldn't want a Spad for DCS?
  9. Just checking the logic on this. You say: no-one would buy RIO-only. I totally agree. But surely that means there's no downside to making RIO-only free-to-play - Leatherneck can't lose sales of a RIO-only product that no-one would have bought. Also, isn't there the upside that if someone does try RIO part of f-14 (because it's free) they might like what they see and buy the full product? tsb47
  10. Why not allow client backseat for free in multiplayer? I wouldn't think this would reduce sales as I can't imagine anyone buying a module simply to be in the back seat. And it would probably increase the popularity of the module (and therefore sales) overall. Multi-licence packages are a great idea from a virtual squadrons perspective but probably would reduce overall revenue as I think squadrons converting to f-14 would probably all buy their own licences anyway. (again, who would pay money just for the back seat?)
  11. This is awesome - can't wait!
  12. I have this behaviour too. Wouldn't the reaction moment only apply when there were changes to engine speed? tsb47
  13. Looking awesome. Cannot wait for these new aircraft, new theatres and EDGE. Roll on Monday.
  14. This seems to be fixed after the latest update. Anyone else confirm?
  15. No. We're still hoping and waiting patiently!
  16. Bump
  17. Great - thank you! I plan on changing only the free ones. Another question: Any way of changing these in-game eg, through the use of a lua script? If so, how would one do that? The reason I ask is that I want to create a mission that other people can play that allows them to tune into a ground based radio station using ARK set to comms mode. And I don't really want to ask users to replace/fiddle with their own lua files. ../. Thanks in advance! \tsb47
  18. Wish I could help. My experience is usually: 1. takeoff. 2. explode. 3. lobby.
  19. This is champagne flying - awesome work Hadwell! That last one in particular is genius.
  20. This is exactly what I do and it works a charm! The only additional step I might do is cross-check my waypoint against an ARK. Eg, The mission editor bearing tool tells me that ARC 2/I-2 is bearing 90 from WP2. So, flying to WP2 using RSBN, I flick KPP to ARC to cross check position.
  21. Hi all, Could anyone tell me how to manually set the Mig 21's ARC frequencies? I've read this has to be done in a lua file somewhere. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2188083&postcount=3. If so, where is the .lua file and how does one edit it to set the custom ARC frequencies? The Leatherneck manual seems to contemplate players using unassigned frequencies (pg 104). But they don't say what those frequencies are (eg, in megahertz) or how to modify them or how to use them. I'm planning on using the frequencies to transmit radio station broadcasts (eg, historic russian radio archive files) in mission to increase immersiveness - to be received through the ARC set into comms mode. Thanks in advance, tsb47
  22. Exactly. So many times are we've been told EDGE will be coming very soon only for the ETA to be pushed back. Now there's not even an expected date. I would just get on with redoing the campaign. If EDGE is actually released in the meantime, it will be so exciting you won't care that you'll have to re-re-do the campaign. t
  23. I'd have to disagree with this. The Mig 21 has pretty good fan base from what I can tell. I personally was extremely happy it was made and would have been asking for it above all other Soviet fighters (except maybe Mig 15) in the meantime...
