  1. That's the danger I suppose, analogous to the dog vs car scenario lol: Finally catch the car (mastering the module/s) after chasing it for yonks and then not knowing what to do with it (no content).

That said, hopping into a MP server plinking fast-movers and radars in the T-Toad NEVER gets old so there is that to look forward to 😅

    Ain' t that the truth.

Interesting times to say the least, but all things considered, I'm doing very well. How are you doing?

Landed in Texas a couple years ago and haven’t looked back. After two continent moves I’m tired of running and finally settling down. Older and bones a lot creakier but as you said, all things considered, doing rather well myself. That said, a Texas summer……..enough to turn the devil honest lol

DCS has exploded I see. What’s your go-to module these days?

  3. But I'm back! Kicked down the door to my T-Toad hangar and glad to see the Old Girl is still as curvy and spritely as I remember.

To all the Old Timers still slinging lead downrange, ~S~ and I hope to see you in the air sometime soon.

As an aside, any must-have terrain/cockpit mods for Caucasus map?

  4. GA, you captured the spirit and essence of what it is to be a DCS pilot/ground commander, which is far more important than the visuals and eye-candy of 2.5......truly emotional.....

Your best offering to date bar none.

Well done Sir, well done indeed!

    ~S~

  5.

yes, that is exactly the problem. I didnt move the stick at this moment at all. I keept it rock steady. Its a system that made the input but i dont know what it is. :(

Try trimming after smaller attitude adjustments. Ten degrees at once is a lot for the stability augmentation channels to keep up with without the deviation you are experiencing.

  6. Whatever happened to the Christmas motive on the forums? You know.....smashing light bulbs and all. If getting 2.5 out is taking priority and that's what's keeping our Christmas deco from making it's yearly appearance.......Well then bah humbug! Skip Christmas altogether and bring on the UPDATE!!!!! :music_whistling: :music_whistling: :music_whistling:

It was the longest time before I even realized they were capable of being smashed :megalol:

  7. Maybe so that ED could see how many people would prefer the old

system to this new proposed one and will people still buy their products

    with these new limitations ?

I am sure that 50 pages of feedback is enough to make that determination :)

If not, they can, as you propose and if they feel so inclined (see EB-1's post above), post another poll.

  8. My Setup:

    Thrustmaster Warthog Joystick and Throttle

    CH Pro Pedals

When I check the axis tune in DCS all appears normal with the axis properly centred. I have tried 0 deadzone and deadzones of up to 10. I have tried curves of +25 and -25.

I have also calibrated the joystick and pedals using Windows control panel.

Regardless of what I do to the setup the aircraft banks right at all times, which makes take offs etc interesting.

Any ideas as to how to resolve this?

Any chance of posting up a track or video of a take-off showing your Controls Indicator In-Cockpit?

  9. Can you link to where an offical ED spokes person said that please (would really re-assure some of us)

I will repost the post here as there is some sage advice in this particular post that begs repeating:

After multiple requests to stear clear of the StarForce debate, this will now close. If anybody else has any technical issues that need to be addressed, feel free to ask in the appropriate forum section.

Anyone is welcome to browse our Payments and Activation support section for countless examples of ED granting a set of new activations to users who have run out and provide a proof of purchase. ED in no way expects any customer to have to purchase the product more than once. Furthermore, ED has recently confirmed that activation requirements would be removed in the case that the company is no longer able to support the product, such as if it was no longer in business.

ED is also not under any obligation, nor in my personal opinion should be under any reasonable expectation to explain all of the factors behind its financial decisions.

In general, when forum moderators speak on ED's behalf, they are relaying information which has been previously confirmed by ED staff, either through internal discussion or public postings. However, be careful to take note of the various "IMHO", "I think...", etc., which is a good way to tell a personal opinion, perhaps informed, from official information.

Public polls are important and are among the factors ED takes into account when making product decisions. However, polls are not the only determinant. TFC/ED now have 15 years of experience producing combat flight sims and releasing them world-wide, including before piracy was even an issue. It's safe to assume that the company has a good idea of the market potential of this business and is capable of evaluating the market performance of their own products.

This was incidentally posted putting an end to yet another Starforce DRM rant IIRC here we still are - we’ll get there and things will work out. Just gotta keep our cool :)

  10. ....Playing devil's advocate is one thing, but having snide remarks on top of that about what's bugger won't really help anyone here.....

You know, you had my undivided attention up and until that point right there. I was going to address your post, but I'll politely refrain.

Regarding the remark you apparently find 'snide',

I was trying to be helpful to the OP I addressed in the post you quoted, nothing more. I stated that 'Interpretation is a bugger' because it is precisely that: A bugger. One of the most difficult courses (Law of Interpretation) one undertakes when studying for one's law degrees, for reasons quite obvious to us that have gone through it and with a bit of forethought, to others as well - it's in the title. Also a veritable minefield when engaged in litigation where common law solely relies on the correct interpretation of any written judgement and indeed in statutory law as well.

You automatically inferring my intent to be 'snide' in that sentence is, well, what can I say. Thought I'd attempt to bring the intent across with a smiley face but that was apparently lost completely.

To Cnuke, if you also interpreted that sentence as being snide then I apologise unreservedly. As I said, interpretation is indeed a bugger it would seem.
