  1. Thanks guys- got it sorted. After a lengthy search using various keywords, I entered "outer" and a binding for the outer wing cannon was listed, RALT SPC. I was able to sequence this in the Warthog joystick and now all is good. Thanks for the tips-
  2. Wow. So in the DCS key binding utility, what is the name of the key that can be used to bind the outer cannons to a button function of my choice? And no, on my install, they do NOT fire all at once. I have one binding that will fire my inner wing cannon and my rifle-caliber machine guns. Then I have a BUTTON on my stick that will fire the outer wing cannon. I want to fire ALL BARREL ARMAMENT with a single key press, but there isn't a key listed to do this, or a special, separate key (that I can find, anyway) that can be used to bind the outer wing cannon.
  3. I am trying to bind inner and outer cannon + MG17s to a single key press using Thrustmaster TARGET software. (with Warthog Joystick). Has anyone achieved this? I can't seem to locate the key binding for the outer cannon, I can only fire them by pressing a proprietary stick button. I would like to bind all to the trigger. Any ideas if this is possible? Thanks! Chris
  4. What about people using the stable version? Will Normandy 2.0 be available to us at some point? Thank you- It certainly looks beautiful!
  5. My old wartie stick finally died and I replaced it with a new one. I want to get flying again right away, I may repair the old when I have time and sell it later, but for now my question is; How exactly do I safely and properly install the new stick? My old throttle is still hooked up, I use TARGET and it is still installed, and I have lots of saved profiles. Should my new stick have shipped with the latest firmware? Will the stick recognize my TARGET installation or vice versa? Anyone with experience on doing this? Thanks in advance for any help- Chris
  6. Oh, My friend, I was probably "doomed" back in '82 when I first started simming. That is quite a rig you have there-mine uses the Logitech throttle quads for mixture, pitch, cowl flapss, etc.,and I have a Logitech Cessna Trim wheel for elevator trim. But you must tell me how you got the orange brake lever etc. I will reach out in a PM. PS, thank you for you help!
  7. UPDATE: SUCCESS! Gents, After painstakingly binding each individual key, one at a time, to various buttons, switches and levers on my Warthog, and testing everything each step along the way, I now have a very flyable Mosquito! It would seem that there are some actuators on my equipment (Thrustmaster) that can be problematic in some applications. One was causing a "stuck key" event when paired with a modal (UMD) key, and another one seemed to be causing time compression to kick in inadvertently on a RCTL z command (still not 100% sure how that was happening). How this could happen with the Mosquito and not my other modules? Well, I checked and it appears I had not used those actuators on any of my other modules. Thus the apparent anomaly with the Mossie. However, I am now flying at 100% efficiency and my thanks to those who offered help and encouragement! Chris
  8. Well, taking what some have said as a cue, I am building a new profile, but this time, instead of shoveling in all key bindings at once, I am adding them one at a time, and testing in betwixt. So far so good, I still have a great many bindings to add, but doing it this way will alert me immediately to a potential culprit. I believe I may be slowly sorting this.......................if I meet with success, I will report back here that it may help others- Thanks to all for your input, I will "endeavor to persevere"............................................................................................................. As an aside, the Mossie is such a dreamboat, no? Chris
  9. so the syntax would look like this? /saved games/dcs/config/input/MosquitoFBMkVI/keyboard/keyboard.bak ? or this /saved games/dcs/config/input/MosquitoFBMkVI/keyboard.bak I renamed the keyboard folder to keyboard.bak, but it did not help- does this indicate something?
  10. I have been simming since the original MS Flight Simulator way back in '82. Seen some things, but never have I seen anything quite like this: I have a Thrustmaster Warthog combo. It's my second one (wore the other one out). It works great with DCS and several "other" sims, both GA and combat. In DCS, I have the P-51D, The P-47, the Spitfire, The Huey, and my latest "gem", the Mosquito. She is the reason for this post. Ever since installing the Mossie, my Warthog is going nucking futz. I load a profile for it in TARGET, run it, start DCS, jump into the Mossie and the very first time I press a button on the Wartie or my joystick, I LOSE ALL BUTTONS on the Throttle, Joystick, my KEYBOARD, everything. I can't get control back unless I press escape, which doe not take to to the options menu, but to my DESKTOP. So far I have tried: Re-installing the Mosquito module (twice); Using a different Thrustmaster profile; Making a brand-new TM profile from scratch; Monitoring the Device Analyzer and Event Monitor in TARGET; etc. None of these weird things ever happen when I am using the other modules. All other modules continue to perform beautifully, only the poor Mossie is cursed this way. I spent a nice chunk of change on the Mossie and I would love to be able to fly it, but it is next to impossible for me as I am so used to my TM equipment after all these years. One thing of note is, analog axes are OK. It is just the digitized (button) commands that lock her up. But they do it every time. I am STUMPED. Has anyone else ever experienced such a thing? I really welcome any serious suggestions- My thanks in advance guys- this sucks.
  11. Gents, This is a request to those all skin wizards who have run out of subjects to apply their considerable talents to-a humble request if you will..... I am one of those weirdos that does not care for colorful mounts. I have searched high and low for a very basic, factory plain livery for my beloved Jug, my favorite aircraft of all time. All I ask is an all-natural-metal skin, with a nice dull olive drab anti-glare shield, and a level of "shine" that is "not too bright, and not too dull." With, of course, standard mid-to-late war stars and bars like the example below. In fact, if I could get my hands on this paintjob in the photo, it would make my day serene. (I know it is an N, but it's livery would be just smashing on our D-30 and 40 models). Is anyone out there sufficiently piqued to take this on? many thanks (and hopes) in advance- Chris I
  12. Eric Browne in his book Duels in the Sky gave the F4U next to no chance vs the Focke-Wulf, and gave the Hellcat's chances as only even. This is THE legendary Eric Brown who spent many hours in all three types.
  13. Thank you Count Spee!
  14. I know this post is rather old, but I am only now reading Duels in the Sky by the legendary Eric Brown. Mr. Brown does not give the Corsair much of a chance against the Focke-Wulf 190, which surprises me. Gives Hellcat roughly decent odds against it. I personally feel that at altitude an F4u should be able to more than hold it's own against an Anton, but I have no charts available just now to base that on- Just really happy we are getting a Corsair at any rate, and a carrier to go with it! Cheers,
  15. Man-O-War, will these changes you mention affect the latest stable version or just the open beta? Thank you -
