  1. Hi, Still a big fan of your mods .... You likely already realise this, but you could make some quick wins with minor mod adjustments to make some of your mods into packs for the UK. The Swedish ArtillerySystem 08 SPG has been announced in March to be bought for the British Army. From the UK Gov website: "Army to replace the AS90 gifted to Ukraine with new ‘Archer’ heavy artillery guns". The Swedish BV410 ATV is very similar to the units the British Royal Marines Commandos and Dutch Marines use. The Swedish RBS 57 ATGM is exactly the same as the British NLAW. The Swedish UNDE STR is nearly exactly the same as the British Sky Sabre radar. Though admittedly not a lot of use without the launcher unit to go with it. The USA GMLRS is also used by the British Army (though not with the GLSDB or ATACMS munitions). USA Infantry, most of it could also be used for British Infantry. Perhaps a minor tweak for the rifle units. USA 120mm Mortar has just been announced to replace the 81mm used by the British Army. I appreciate with some unit config tweaks we can do this ourselves, and I have done, but the names/descriptions are all wrong when done that way. Just a thought. Cheers Keith
  2. Hi, Thanks for the mods, they are fantastic, I'm a big fan. Can I make an observation for the Artillery, MLRS, mortars, and other vehicles. When placed with or near a truck that has re-supply capacities, the CH Mod units do not re-supply. This means once the ammo/shells/rockets are fired, that's it, it serves no further purpose. Even if you take hours sending the unit across the map for a resupply, nothing happens. At least this my experience. Cheers Keith
  3. The Storm Shadow model is already within DCS. It is called 'SCALP' and you can add it to aircraft config files. However it is just for show, it does not launch (I added it to a tornado and tried ... no luck with launching it). Therefore as DCS has added the model, it says to me they intend to release it in an update at some time. Cheers
  4. I'm sure we can do this already with triggers. Start the mission with the Unit AI off or Alarm State set to GREEN. Then at the desired time (or event) have a trigger set the unit AI to on, or Alarm State to RED.
  5. You can have both of these (Mods), but AI flights only.
  6. They don't have to drop directly onto the front line. They can drop nearby and walk to the front line, which is realistic.
  7. Not just transport aircraft, but make them so they can transport things (troops, cars, trucks, APC's, artillery, etc).
  8. Anything to make amphibious and air landings more modern. So yes to this, and add the large hovercraft too.
  9. It would be good if destroying map buildings actually had an impact on the mission. Such as destroying a power station or sub-station- affected the power at towns, etc.
  10. I'm sure this is already in game. Look at the mission review options once the mission is over. It plays back the mission and with the F2 key you can select the other aircraft external viewpoints.

  12. One of hundreds of mods we are shown but never actually get a chance of having. Such a shame/tease.
  13. I cannot find a working link to the VSN downloads. The Dropbox link (I previously used) is down and the filehorst location is empty. Can anyone point me to where I can get the VSN aircraft Mods? I recently had a hard drive failure and the VSN file backup I made is very old and most of the aircraft from that backup do not work with the current installs of DCS. Cheers

  15. I just want the Cobra (any variant) to fly on AI without flying like an complete noob. The AI is dreadful, the AI pilot just dives for the ground and either crashed or hides at the first sight of any weapon (including AKs) that might shoot back.

  17. Confused now: Are you saying you are using Max 2016 for building models for DCS World? I thought EDM only worked up to version 2014. Thanks
  18. Thanks for your replies. Though I agree that AutoDesk may keep making changes with the latest versions, once a couple of years old (both versions 2015, 2016 not supported with a EDM plugin) they are unlikely to have any major changes with their Service Packs now. With the student versions, only version 2015 onwards are available now that version 2018 is out, and who would want to invest a large amount of funds buying an obsolete version of an application (v 2014)?
  19. Isn't it about time an EDM plugin was created for 3DS Max past version 2014? We are now all the way up to version 2018 and the old versions are pretty difficult to get hold of now. Cheers
  20. If we are going to get WW2 bombers, the we need the ground defences to make bombing missions come to life. Flak High calibre AA guns Search lights No point having WW2 bombers with SAM missiles and modern radar guided AAA
  21. I actually want the transport aircraft to actually be able to transport items and airdrop. Instead of faking this by using hidden ground objects and triggers.

  23. I want to add support to this. I used to play Falcon and it gave the sim's missions purpose as it brought home the importance of protecting certain facilities. As if those facilities were attacked, they would not be available within the next few missions until repaired by the engineers. If this were added to DCS, attacking enemy runways would actually be worthwhile planning.
  24. Ships and ground forces to have more triggered actions. Have a trigger for when a unit comes under fire, not just when damaged or killed. There is a generic trigger for 'shot fired', but I want triggers where I can test against a named unit or group. There is a trigger condition for Bomb in Zone. I want one for missiles and rockets too. I want to be able to use name variables to identify 'Flags', not just numbers. With aircraft we can set how many weapons are used within an attack, I want the same for ground artillery and naval bombardment. A MLRS shooting all 12 rockets at a truck is not a good use of ammo. The ability to created rectangular and polygon shaped zones. It's hard setting up triggers for incursions across boarders (etc.) with only circular zones.
