  1. Just tried 1.5.4 and still no SLI on my GTX 660's. Is ED actually going to address this or should I just give up? Using drivers 368.39. Also noticed more stuttering than usual. Of course using AFR2 turns SLI on, but it's stutter city with it.
  2. Running 1.5.2.48726 and still no SLI - got hit by a Strella this afternoon and ended up with a smoking right engine. Framerate fell to 30 immediately - even when I wasn't looking at the smoke. I was post #33 on Lt_Maverick's nVidia petition, so there's that.
  3. Updated to 1.5.1.47285 and SLI is still a no-go here.
  4. +1 still hoping ED works with nVidia on the SLI issue/profile. At the very least I hope the issue is taken care of when 1.5 is officially released (no longer beta). Running two GTX 660's myself.
  5. Beta doesn't run SLI if AFR1 is selected. And I also have flickering clouds if I use AFR2. I'm just hoping they come up with a fix by the time it's officially released (no longer beta).
  6. Well, tried the Black Shark profile in nVidia Inspector with AFR2 and ALT + ENTER and though my SLI indicator does show and the FPS reach ~85 they're extremely inconsistent (flashes of 25 appearing in FPS counter) and I have tons of micro pauses and stutters. Agreed, the game's devs have to communicate w/ the vendors for an SLI profile (or Crossfire for AMD) - it's a 50/50 proposition.
  7. SLI Not Working in 1.5 Title says it all. Game runs smoothly but @ half the FPS. If I set the SLI indicator on in nVidia control panel it shows up in 1.2.x but not in 1.5. If I "Force alternate frame rendering 2" I get SLI running in 1.5, but with a ton of stuttering and micro-pauses as well as erratic frame rate. I was going to post this in the beta feedback forum but am not allowed (I don't have enough posts I guess?). I have two GTX 660s. Attached is my dxdiag file. DxDiag.txt
  8. Um, how does one limit the framerate? Is that specific to DCSW or is it in my graphic card's settings?
  9. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I found that before but I wasn't sure if there was more to it than that.
  10. I'm going to be reinstalling my OS before the holidays are over. Obviously though before I do I should probably backup all my DCS config files (joystick curves, key bindings, etc.). So, can anyone please point me to the correct folders and files? Thanks.
  11. Would have preferred spiral bound (lays flat better) but at $30 I really can't complain. Ordered.
  12. Me too. Looking for either a spiral bound or ring bound manual. Also wondering what other issue/updates they make to the Hog before it's considered "finished". I've been holding off on playing with it (also been busy IRL) until the official "this is the last update for A-10". Find it hard to believe ED couldn't find a low quantity printer to run ~300 manuals ring bound in black and white. Really dropped the ball IMO - no I'm not getting an e-reader for this.
  13. Let's try this one: http://files.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/?arrFilter_pf%5Baircraft%5D=&arrFilter_pf%5Bfiletype%5D=4&arrFilter_pf%5Bgameversion%5D=59&arrFilter_pf%5Bfilelang%5D=&arrFilter_CREATED_USER_NAME=&set_filter=Filter&set_filter=Y
  14. Found some tracks in the downloads section and was about to load them up when I discovered several other files beside the .trk file included. What am I supposed to do with those?
  15. If you're referring to the US DVD, it's version 1.1.0.9 I bought the DVD at Best Buy (when they finally stocked it) and two days later downloaded the full installer for 1.1.1.0, not the patch that updates from 1.1.0.9. There have been comments in this forum and over at SimHQ that one tends to be better off doing a clean install instead of patching. Yes, I realize the full installer is 4.5GB but the torrent should still be going strong right now and your serial number from the DVD will carry over to 1.1.1.0. Also, uninstalling the DVD and clean installing 1.1.1.0 will not affect any of the settings you may have modified. Those settings are located in a separate folder that isn't affected by the uninstallation (C:\Users\<User Name>\Saved Games\DCS Warthog\config).
  16. The time draws closer I'll pick this up at Best Buy! I know it's been discussed before but any word on whether ED will release a printed manual (separately of course) some time in the near future? I know there were plans but that was awhile ago and I'm wondering if plans have changed. I'd like to pick one up, but if not I'll have it printed at Office Max in black and white and spiral bound. Just planning my "attack".
  17. Good to here the US boxed version is on its way. Any word on the printed manual (English, obviously)?
  18. I'm sure you're already awash in corrections, but I no sooner start with the introduction than I'm accosted by a grave misnomer in the very first paragraph. The official name given to the A-10 is "Thunderbolt II". I know, I know - it has long since been the "Warthog", but in all accuracy it fulfilled the same role as an earlier tank buster also built by Republic: the P-47 Thunderbolt. It's kind of a pedigree/lineage thing. After you correct the first mention of the A-10 to "Thunderbolt II" you can then go on to say something along the lines of "Being the tender bunch they are, A-10 pilots soon lovingly gave it the moniker 'Warthog', as we shall hence refer to it in this manual." Okay, I feel better now that I've gotten that off my chest. Anyway, thanks for making the manual immediately available to everyone. I'm looking forward to buying the printed one as I did with Black Shark.
  19. Been busy lately, so haven't had much time to fly my Shark. Actually now that the news of the A-10A and later A-10C has come out, I find myself holding back from flying and enjoying watching the tracks included with the sim. This being the "Tracks, Mission & Campaigns" forum, I was hoping to find more tracks here. So, if you've got a favorite moment, or mission for that matter, post the track if you have it. Just looking for a little fun and relaxation :smilewink: Thanks.
  20. Hate to say it, but I'm drooling over the prospect of having a RWR ;)
  21. I'm willing to pay $70 for a color manual with English cockpit markings.
  22. What, do you work for Raytheon??? C'mon - missles are becoming better (a bit faster, more manuevarable and less suseptable to counter measures) but even now it's still far from a garaunteed kill even when launched in "no escape" parameters in RL.
  23. If I hear another "be patient" I'm going to FREAK!!!!!!!!
  24. 1) I'd be shocked if the initial version of FO arrived two years from today. 2) If BS is going to implement all they say it will (AFM for weapons, individual rotor blade modelling, higher poly counts, clickable cockpit), you'll still need to upgrade. So, as usual, you're better off enjoying FC or whatever your favorite sim is now and forgetting about future releases (unless you've got the funds for some serious hardware stashed away ready for upgrade at a moment's notice). BTW, is Lock On going to get a dynamic campaign in BS? I recall Ross McGregor working on one for the current version of Lock On (obviously FC) but that's still deeply in the works. Just wondered how far off we were. Would be nice (then again a DC will take up more cycles from your CPU).
