Hi ED, For VR and for general realism proposes - could you please make the 9-line given by the JTAC to appear in the kneeboard? Just a real pilot would write it down on it's kneeboard - so that the same practice would be implemented in game... Thanks! -
Hi, Would you guys say that the current AWACS is overpowered? Almost a 'GOD EYE'? In the DL you can many time notice low and slow helicopters or very far away targets. It's a bit of a pain specially in PvP and not sure how realistic is it. What do you think? Thanks.

Hi, This map is very useful for planning low-level routes both for aircraft and helicopters. Would be great if you could add it as an option to the F10 map. Thanks.

small question - why does ED promote VKB in their weekend update? What about other companies? WINWING just released their awesome F16 set... Many manufacturers release hardware...

Another way to read his post is "It is a 0 priority at the moment. Let's talk again after AH64 is released, and the pressure out of F16/18 is way lower"

Is there a difference between the short and long ALQ-184 pods (burn through range, drag etc)? Or is it only cosmetics (3d model)?

Thing is, apparently the FLIR is 'ready' from WAGS AH64 updates. It's not the feature holding the module from release. Waiting additional time for the 64 completion before release - makes sense and in my opinion is the right way to go... But perhaps the FLIR can be published for open beta earlier? It's seems like a HUGE update in FLIR tech and being anticipated not less than the AH64 itself.

Hi, It is technically possible to change JHMCS to NVG and vice versa during flight. While not particularly fun in real life - it is possible. Can it be implemented in DCS please? Thanks.

BIGNEWY, once again, while the team work on core features that don't exist at the time and require research, development, testing etc (and that SUPERB! Keep up the hard work), there are many "low hanging fruits" that are easy to accomplish (some was done by external users as mods) - and we as SC users would really appreciate to became an integral part of the module. Again, as a quick example - In the near future you plan to integrate the dynamic weather - meaning the wind will change every few hours or so. You'd have to create a feature for the SC to turn into the wind or otherwise it will be extremally hard to land on the boat... So creating a quick F10 command to simply make the boat to turn into the wind - should be easy. It would be nice to have now, it would help in MP and SP. Why don't you guys make a poll asking what people would like most and priorities accordingly? It worked with the F18/16... Thanks.

Any chance to see in the near future features like "turn into the wind", "accelerate to 1/3,2/3,full speed, stop" through the F10 menu without using external scrip tools? It's minor but make life so much easier...

Please add a visual (or numeric) W&B representation in the loadout menu. So we could visually see the current W&B on both AXIS (specially the longitudinal axis - to avoid asymmetrical flying. If a 'hint' for proper TO trim would be in place so we wouldn't drop a wing right after TO - that would be great). Moreover, if a drag value could be shown - that would also be awesome. That would give a clue regarding the acceleration and fuel penalties we'll pay for taking certain ammunitions. Thanks

Happened to me when on the other station I've had weapons in CCIP mode. After I've switched them to CCRP - I could change the MAV from VIS to PRE. -
Hi ED, could you please elaborate a bit regarding how ECM is implemented in DCS? What is the difference in how its implemented on FC3 planes vs study modules (if there is). What does it actually "do" in the game and how its implemented? A dynamic multiplier for the radars probability of loosing track? It is a very interesting topic and it would be great to learn more about how it works in DCS. Thanks.

At "pitbull", the missile should theoretically know where he is (INS+DL) and where it's target should be via the DL. Should it correlate between what he "see" and what he "expect" and try locking up a target accordingly? The missile itself got a radar with a small FOV (probably... the missile is small). I guess that the point where the missile turns active and it's FOV determine what he's going to see. In case he see two targets - will he lock up the closest? Will the missile use DL data to determine which target is the intended one? ED, can you comment on: A. How this process modeled? It would greatly influence the tactics we'll use in order to implement the weapon efficiently (not firing at two-ship how fly very close for example). B. Does the AI take the AIM120 implementation into consideration? Does my wingman restricted of firing an AIM120 towards an enemy if a friendly is around? C. Could you elaborate more regarding the "new range gate mechanism" that is being developed at the moment? What does it actually mean? I'd super appreciate some kind of a WP explaining how the AIM120 is modeled in the game to better understand the mechanics and limitations of the weapon Thanks.

Is it capable like the F16 to operate in "noise barrage" mode? The core functionality of the jammer should be just like in SPJ. The way I see it (perhaps I'm wrong) - the difference between mode 2 and 3 is there to give a "management" tool for the pilot - keep the ECM always ON or begin transmitting automatically only when locked...

Hi, When shooting AIM120s at multiple targets (specially when they are close to each other) in TWS mode (like in the 120 mission provided by ED) - many times missiles won't go to their intended target but rather after becoming "active" - they start seeking for a target by themselves resulting in multiples missiles going for the same target. Is that a radar issue (TWS/DL logic)? AIM120 issue (perhaps gate)? Is that a bug or a feature?

Hi, was looking for a thread like this but could not find it. If there is already - please close this one. After the great revisit you've done to the 87/103/jsow - are there any plans to do similar fixes for the F/A-18 clusters as well? Thanks!
