  1. Thank you so much for your hard work on these, as they are sorely needed in the PG theater. One suggestion is to add the units, that aren't already assigned to Iran, to the USAF Aggressors faction "AUSAF". That way it allows them to be hostile/Friendly without affecting another faction.
  2. Not an easy question to answer...depends on the country, aircraft, squadron, and even a particular aircraft and pilots name. The best thing to do is look at pictures and try to find a font that comes close. Sometimes even that doesn't work and you have to try to replicate it by hand in photoshop.
  3. But less room for the crowds of Bikini clad women.
  4. Does it work with cargos as well? I would like to do a VERTREP.
  5. When I worked in the tower at NBG (c.2002-2005) we used to see the GAF Phantoms from Holloman AFB pass through from time to time. It was awesome working those old horses. I agree with Jetguy nothing turns jet fuel into smoke and noise better than J-79s
  6. I don't think any, since they have the safety barriers up on the bow. She is not ready for flight quarters yet.
  7. Another thought too, Al Dhafra was designed as a coalition combat base. It has a lots of parking spaces, hardened shelters, taxiways and runways. It also has room to expand if needed. Abu Dhabi also has an extensive SAM network with 12 x4 Patriot launchers, and numerous HAWK batteries around the city. So in a West v Iran battle, Al Dhafra would be a major player in shore-based combat operations.
  8. The likelihood of a Carrier Strike Group and/or an Expeditionary Strike Group being "trapped" in the Persian Gulf is high. Given that one or both groups are permanently on patrol in the region. Should such a scenario occur where Iran cuts off the Strait trapping a CSG and/or ESG in the Gulf, likely both groups would head for Bahrain. This allows them a safe port with lots of SAM and Aircraft cover from air attack plus a lot of open/shallow water to detect a threat approaching from the sea. The security of the base there would prevent an "insurgent" style attack as well. The air wings would likely deploy to Al Dhafra or similar base. Another carrier would likely operate and conduct operations form the Arabian Sea, outside of the SoH allowing it an egress to the open waters of the Indian Ocean should a withdraw be required.
  9. Thanks for doing these mate, VFA-204 is very close to my heart, I spent 3 years working them in the pattern at NBG.
  10. They are already there on the altitude map as well as the sectional chart.
  11. Honestly the thing most needed on the carrier right now is animated Yellow Shirts and Shooters.
  12. Thanks USC you are awesome!!
  13. IMHO there is no reason for a modeled hangar deck. No pilot is going to man an aircraft spotted in the hangar bay, as at no time will an aircraft be moved under power in the hangar bay. The only time the pilot is going to step into the cockpit for flight is when it is spotted on the flight deck ready for flight. Unless of course ED decides to make DCS: Air Department. The hangar bay is needless "eye candy". Now that being said, I would love for more active spots on the flight deck so as to have more aircraft involved in missions etc.
  14. Awesome job, I look forward to trying this out.
  15. create a new mission with both Russia and the USA on the same side, or if you want to hit Russia, use USAF Aggressors as it also has a Russian carrier mapped to it.
  16. hate to necro an old thread, but any chance you still have the skinpacks?
  17. Al Minhad doesn't have a FCLP area. What they have is "assault strip" markings for their C-17s and C-130s.
  18. Thanks Yoda, that was exactly what I was looking for.
  19. New mission and choose your countries for the red and blue coalition.
  20. Does anyone have any information on the location of the UAE Patriot and Hawk sites, as well as the Iranian SAM defense sites?
  21. This is what you are looking for: Nellis AFB Local Flying Procedures While it is not a map like what the Georgia map has, it does contain everything you need to know where aircraft are parked, patterns to fly for each type of aircraft and helicopter operations. It spells it out pretty simply about what you can and cannot do while flying into and out of Nellis AFB.
  22. I have learned something new today, thank you.
  23. You guys are awesome
  24. http://www.sportys.com/pilotshop/charts-and-maps/sectional-charts.html Only $9 each chart.
