  18. Does anyone know where the "default" skins files are located. The bazar/liveries folder only has the description.lua file. For example fw-190 jg54 folder. Where are the actual aircraft skin files at? does anyone know? thanks in advance
  19. Thanks dabomb, I got some stick time as a chief but more often as a TI on test flights. I was surprised to see it closer than I would have first thought. The torque factor is modeled very well and it hovers quite nicely. It does take some practice to get used to her but then so does the real thing. Normally you would cruise around 90 knots so she isn't the quickest with VNE at 124 knots. Depending on how the blades are tracked out, at around 120 knots she'll be bouncing bad enough you won't be able to read the gauges. So that part is a little off but all in all its a nice SIM, imo.
  20. As an old Huey Crewchief i can say there is no "trim" in a Huey. What you have is "Force Trim" and it was only used when in long boring flat and level flights. It provides some stabilization to the cyclic stick keeping the pilot from wearing out his wrist. Unlike a fixed wing the cyclic is not held steady in one position. Pilots would either make small continuous circles or boxes with the cyclic while in flight. Thus keeping the rotor disc tilted in the direction of flight. However, in straight and level flight the cyclic isn't moved in that manner as much, since your speed and alt. do not change constantly. So engaging the "force trim" would help keep the stick in position. Almost feels like a car without power steering. You would not fly an approach with it on nor would you hover, do sling loads, shoot rockets or any other maneuvering. It would be much to difficult to hold the aircraft steady. In the 80's and 90's I flew on H models from the late 60's era and Ah-1 Cobras, it was the same for both aircraft type.
  21. I can log into "master" and see the server list but cannot join any servers, comes back "connection interrupted", Two days ago everything was fine, have not made any changes. I have run "repair" and this made no change. Any suggestions?
  22. wing hits Ok, so this does not answer the question. It clearly took too many 108 rounds to drop the 51. I would agree there should not be a 1 hit 1 kill scenario every time. But there is no denying the current modeling is not near close enough to be accurate. You asked for proof and there it is. You will also note the wing does not show any damage at all till it comes off.
  23. Update questions Does anyone know why with these latest updates the following issues occur? - P-51 does not want to start as it normally would; i NEVER had to use anymore than 5-7 sec of primer and it would pop quickly, now even with 20 secs of primer and oil dilute it still burns starters? doesn't seem to matter where either, QM, SP or MP - The K-4 wings seem to still be made of balsa wood, that should not snap anywhere near as easily as they do -K-4 also seems to randomly blow motors shortly after takeoff, there does not seem to be any pattern as far as frequency - and the most aggravating of all, why do updates overwrite the sound files and the quick missions as well. I can't seem to find the reasoning in this.
