  1. Yes I have just found the message from DCS which says that free trial modules etc if not wanted should be deleted otherwise if you use them up to the end of the trial period you will be deemed to have bought them and will be charged as "Chillybean" above, so beware of DCS bearing gifts.
  2. Well just to be on the safe side I have deleted it as I do not want to buy it yet at least, thanks for the tip "Chillybean"
  3. I am on Steam but not for DCS, I don't have any DCS content with Steam, is that the Steam newsletter or a DCS newsletter, thanks for your reply.
  4. I have just reinstalled DCS and now have the Persian Gulf map when I haven't bought it, is it being given away free or have I been given it by mistake, any help please, thank you.
  5. Thank you for your help and replies and they are duly noted.
  6. Could anyone tell me where in the option menu there is an option to stop the pitch ladder in the HUD from wandering out of the HUD view, something to do with natural head movement but I can't find it. Thank you for any help.
  7. I really thank you for your offer MegOhm SD, I'm still chewing it over but thanks again, we oldies have got to stick together LOL. As said I really love the F16 and am determined to spend time on that when released. Just have to make sure I keep going to the gym 4 times a week to stay fit LOL, no kidding been doing it for most of my life so do expect to be around when the F16 comes out.
  8. Thank you all for your info and advice and I will look into all your suggestions. I must admit the F5 has always interested me because it does look a much easier module to learn while still being a fast jet, but, and here's the but, since we have been told of the most favourite all time aircraft and I am a Brit so all are included for me is the F16 is in development I wanted to try and get used to MFD. Mind you at my age, 71 I'm wondering if I'll still be around when that comes out LOL, only joking, I HOPE!. Thanks again all.
  9. Thanks so much, I will look into that, thanks again.
  10. I am thinking about buying this module but would like some advice on how hard it would be to learn to fly this module and all the systems that go with it. To be honest I am only really used to the easier "Flaming Cliffs" aircraft apart from the "Hawk" which is now defunct. I only ask because I know its generally accepted that the A10c is very hard to learn to operate and was wondering if the Harrier is the same. Thanks in advance for any help on this.:helpsmilie:
  11. That's great, thank you very much for your information and reply and I think that seals the deal, so to speak. I bought the Hawk and have been very disappointed with only ever 2 basic tutorials so I wanted to check that the F5 was well covered. Thank again.
  12. Hi, I am thinking about buying this module "F5" but could you tell me if it comes with a good tutorial, I know there are loads on YouTube but watching a tutorial then trying to remember it is very difficult. Thanks for any help.
  13. OK thank you all very much for your help and replies.
  14. Model enlargment I have just watch a YouTube vid which mentions a "Model enlargement" option but my "Gameplay" tab doesn't have this, I am assuming this is to make aircraft or ground objects larger, has this been removed?.
  15. I thank you all for your help and advice which I took and its much better now, thanks again folks.
  16. I have the same problem as many on this thread, My system is, i7 8700k running at 4.2Ghz, GTX 1070, 16 Mb ram, DCS on separate SSD drive and increased my page file. I have uploaded my DCS system settings and if anyone can see any obvious setting that may be causing stutters I would be grateful for any advice. I should mention that the stutters are when flying low over towns and building. I know my system is not top end but neither is it low end, any ideas please?. Running DCS 2.5.3.22176.
  17. Thanks from "shift611" Dear Wedge one, and all, I'm sorry for my misleading text, its not FC3 that I am disappointed with I am more than happy with this module, great value for money, its only the Hawk that I am sorry I bought, apart from a few minor updates since release its virtually the same as release, and I bought this module pre release. Anyway apart from that I thank you all for your help and suggestions and I have come down on the F5 and I am now working my way through the Bunyap 1 to 10 tutorials, great stuff, only sorry he seems to have got to busy to post video's. Anyway thank you all once again.
  18. I am probably posting this in the wrong forum but couldn't decide which one to post in so here goes, my question is hopefully simple, at the moment I have only 2 modules being, Flaming Cliffs and the Hawk, which by the way is a total disappointment, no tutorials except for the original 2 and before anyone says there are loads online, yes, but how do you follow along on youtube and then remember everything while starting up DCS. So not being a spring chicken anymore lol, I want an aircraft which is fairly easy to fly and operate and one which I could use the upcoming Hormuz map, I was thinking the F5 but any suggestions would be most welcome. Thank you for reading this.
  19. Thank for all your replies all, meanwhile I will twiddle my thumbs although I have a feeling I will be twiddling for quite some time.
  20. Is there ever going to be a WW2 map/module so we can fly these great DCS WW2 planes in instead of flying over modern armour and modern tower blocks???.:pilotfly:
  21. Well thank you for that but that sounds very far off and not a priority for DCS.
  22. Well thanks for the info but I am really no nearer knowing when or where of if there will be a WW2 scenario to go with all the WW2 aircraft we are getting in DCS, but thanks anyway.
  23. Top of my wish list is I fear far down ED list of priorities, the WW2 map, I know, first the NTTR map, then DCS World 2.0, then probably the Strait of Hormuz. Is the WW2 scenario even still in the pipe line as I haven't heard it mentioned for a while. We have all these great WW2 aircraft now and coming on but no map to really get immersed in the WW2 era. I keep going back to "Cliffs of Dover" for some WW2 era action. Its ok 10,000 ft up but get near the ground and it feels strange with modern tower blocks and up to date ground armour.
  24. Taking account of performance trade offs for damage models I am sure that ED could build in very easily a "damage on/off" choice as there are in many games these days. OK I said "games" and I know DCS is a sim but in coding its much the same. I only bring this up because DCS is very realistic in all other area's but we constantly see real world targeting and destruction of buildings by dropping smart bombs down ventilation shafts, great stuff lol.
  25. Here's a question I should know but can any building in DCS be damaged or destroyed, if not does anyone know if it will be possible to do this in 1.5 or 2.0 update. I only ask because I accidently dropped a couple of bombs on a town and did'nt see any damaged where there should have been a massive crater, lol.
