The NTTR is definitely in need of an update that includes a larger map with more bases having details like the upcoming Germany map!

But that situation has its pros as well - apart from Vegas region (for players with lower-end hardware), NTTR, next to Caucasus, really is the best performing map in DCS by far. Thus, although I wouldn't mind getting a bit more rounded 3D mesh here and there, better night lighting and higher rez textures with toned down yellows and reds in colour palette, one has to be aware that all these things are not "free" and would actually come with performance decrease.
It would be great to see ED update the NTTR map with better 3d mesh, textures, and update the strip to include the newest casinos and buildings!

NTTR really needs a texture improvement that includes satellite textures with correct coloring, better mesh, and more ground vegetation.

I doubt there will be any updates to the NTTR map. Do you use ReShade?

I feel it would greatly add to the realism for me to have the correct names on the casino's. I agree, it would be important to have more real objects as well, but I suppose they had to pick & choose for performance reasons.
I hope ED makes the terrain.cfg.lua file un-encrypted in the future so we can mod this map.

Yeah, I thought I recognized this one. Well, let me say this about that: the Christen Eagle has softened my stance a bit regarding civilian aircraft.
That's not to say that I'm endorsing the idea, I'm not! But if somebody creates one, I would probably break down and buy it eventually, if it was really well done.
But NOT before a prolonged bout of ranting and raving about the destruction of civilization, the impending apocalypse, and the end times being upon us. So they'll have to hear all that as punishment for having the cheek to make a civilian airplane for DCS, even if I do eventually purchase the thing.
