I've been listening to the podcast, enjoying it especially the special guests, the one on Vietnam MiG kills was really great!

As the title says I've just started reading this book, I've read some from Allies during WW2 but never from the Axis, so it'll be interesting. Any one else read it (this copy dated 1952)? Worther Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

Hi all, I've recently tried to map my MFG Crosswind pedals to various plane modules. I'm currently using Steam stable release (1.5.3) in Win10 and cannot map the rudder axis. The settings page will not let me assign any axis (even joystick twist X55). When I went into control settings page I deleted all 'phantom' standard mappings it had loaded for the MFG's (pitch, yaw, etc). Rudder pedals work fine in other modules and other applications. Do I have map all controls again from scratch to get round this? What is the best way of doing this for just SU-27 control scheme? Many thanks in advance for any advice offered. Thanks to all for your comments, I'll have a look at the Virtual Aerobatics server this afternoon, and see how it goes. Maybe I'll meet some of you in the virtual skies!

Hi all, I've been playing DCSW for a year or so, and enjoy flying in single player - especially simple missions I have created. However, I'd really like to try out flying in a Multiplayer environment. To this end I have purchased a gaming headset and I've downloaded TeamSpeak. So earlier today I went into the Multiplayer section, but I couldn't decipher which server I should join, many were locked anyway and I'm looking for (at first) a semi casual experience. Due to other commitments I cannot sign up for specified squadron meeting times (unless they were very flexible). I can fly most of the planes, and use there weapons systems, SU-25, SU-27/33. F-15C, A10C. I'm currently learning Mig21 and the Huey/KA50. My main problem is I have never played online, and I'm not familiar with TeamSpeak either. Can anyone recommend a server I could find that welcomes newbies (to the online side - protocols etc) and preferably be a training/free flight type server to begin with. Also, any advice regarding TeamSpeak, and online etiquette would be appreciated. Thanks,

MFG Crosswind - Review
Worther_1 replied to Flamin_Squirrel's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I have to agree completely, I got mine Christmas Eve but have only recently had the time to assemble and set them up. The assembly was much easier than I had imagined (or worried). The youtube video was easy to follow. The calibration went fine. These are m very first set of pedals also, I sold a hardly used steering wheel to help fund them. It really does change the whole experience of flying using pedals instead of twist grip, it feels a lot immersive, I'm sure it will take some practice but so far I'm loving them. I'd rated them 10/10! -

That's what I had to do, got same results as per your screenshot first time round, then I backed up the folder and added the new and old files (updated where needed). Worked fine! Worther_1 -

Thanks! It seems ages since I ordered them, the missus is going to wrap the box up when it arrives for Christmas. I'll have to battle my 6 year old twins to get to the tree on Christmas morning! These will be my first pair of rudder pedals (I have X55 HOTAS) so I'm really looking forward to it. Worther_1 -

important controls to map? Also try modifying the curve and deadzone in the 'Axis Tune' section at the bottom of the controls menu. Most people seem to prefer a small deadzone (5-10) and a modest curve (around 10-15). But it's a personal thing. Once you set up the buttons you need (flaps, gear, etc) try a flight with differing values for the above and see how it 'feels' to you. Worther_1

[DCS World FC3] Complete Su-27 English Cockpit Mod
Worther_1 replied to Devrim's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Can someone please clarify this? I renamed the original folder (to preserve its integrity) and added the Devrim folder/files. Should I have kept the original compressed folder named as was? Thanks Worther_1 -

I've just had my email also, living in the UK mine will be some of the last orders shipped before Christmas...ok with me I've been really impressed so far with the communication and ease of ordering. I'm not allowed mine until Christmas Day anyway, my better half is putting them under the tree until then! Worther_1 -
[DCS World FC3] Complete Su-27 English Cockpit Mod

[DCS World FC3] Complete Su-27 English Cockpit Mod Hi Devrim, I had your mod working fine in DCSW1.2, I have the Flaming Cliffs package. I followed instructions for DCSW1.5, unzipped files, moved to a folder, renamed original SU-27S folder and placed new folder (with 11 unzipped files in) in correct folder. But...in game I get mixed up cockpit (see attached). Does the new folder need only 11 new files or some of the original ones? Thanks for any help or advice you can offer, Worther_1 -
I read your post with interest ad I've always loved the Flanker but found the pitch up after take off frustrating. I've just taken the Flanker out for a quick flight and you're spot on, no more pitch up attitude, I think I'll be flying her a lot more now! Thanks for posting this.
