  1. Agreed I’ve never understood the logic of the default server list starting with the highest ping servers? It.s not likely you want to join a 300+ ping server, or see it as your first in the list
  2. Hi I have noticed the same trend also. With the Jug built like a tank and with good rear protection, and a anecdotal war reputation for bringing the pilot home. It does seems incongruous to me that the pilot gets “iced”, more times than mechanical damage takes you out of the fight? I don’t have empirical evidence of this, but it sure seems so. I would love to hear of others experiences.
  3. Hi We have seen this since Supercariier EA Launch, in our 62ndFF Server missions, One in particular is a Persian Gulf MP Mission: Operation Snow Fox (Much Kudos to Surrexen for a great mission.) We adjusted the time to start at sunrise and it's still quite dark. Inbound calls get a case three response and a Case 2 /3 Menu. About 6:30am it's full daylight with a mild dust haze. Inbound calls get a CASE 1 approach response, but still have CASE 2 / 3 menu system. If you do the CASE 1 approach, ball call and landing, you get no LSO score. Recorded Reason: No proper communication. Hopefully this will be addressed soon, it seems like an easy one to have it switch if Sun is up and weather minimums are good.
  4. F14 Is jerking back and forth on th Stennis after Update Yes I can confirm as well. The jerking is so bad it messes up the rearming process as the crew chief thinks you have moved. Cat hookup is also a bit problematic. F14 seems more affected but F18 is certainly jumping around.
  5. Thanks btd , That will be a great addition. Thanks for spending the time on it. Cheers
  6. Hi Wags I’ve recently got a Buttkicker vibration module and noticed that on the F18 the gear going up and down do not trigger the Buttkickers vibration or clunks as the gear locks down or up. The F14 on the other hand has really noticeable effects that come through to let you know the gear is in transition, locked up or down. Since this is triggered by DCS module sounds, would there be a way to get a more noticeable gear sound for the F18-C?
  7. Issue 2 is the same as mine from a previous post, I’m glad it’s not just me, but would like to find a solution for both of us. Any ideas would be welcome. Cheers
  8. No ATC recipients available Hi Since 2.5.6 I have had several issues with Viacom Pro Updates seem to have fixed the first one, which had lines in Voice attack saying Ario had been disabled. I still have an issue which makes using the TomCat impossible for ATC or Jester commands and other aircraft back to manually operating ATC Before I start let me say I have happily used Viacom Pro and Ario for quite a while with no issues. I am on the latest version of Voice Attack and Viacom pro. I am running Voice attack as administrator, I have also reset the lua File using Viacom’s UI... and restarted VA and DCS. These examples are from multiplayer sessions When I say a command, the command is recognised by the software, it beeps to acknowledge recognition, and then does nothing. When I call an ATC recipients such as Stennis or an airbase like Senaki I get no response from DCS. Viacom beeps a recognition tone but nothing happens, when I look, Voice attack reports “No ATC recipients currently available”. This happens in the F-18 even though a manual radio tune and menu selection has ATC responding normally. I would appreciate any ideas on how to fix this. Cheers Boomer
  9. Hi Black engine exhaust in the F-18 seems to be a known bug after 2.5.6 Associated with it possibly, but I’m not ready to call it a bug yet, from my one sample: I’m getting black smoke continuing to exit the engines well after engine shut down. It continued until I left the server. Anyone else seeing this?
  10. We ran a lan session yesterday, six pilots on the Stennis with latest Open Beta. Server Memory issues were definitely fixed :-) Still saw some CAT problems If you spawned on the CAT 1-4 it works. For F-18, if you land and try to hook up on any CAT in the right position, it wouldn’t hookup using the “U” key. For the F14, pilots they got hooked upjust fine, but going for the launch, they got the salute and were just stuck there, with no launch.
  11. I can also confirm this. We initially tested the server with two pilots and it was ok, but once more people joined for our weekly mission, the server went to 100% memory use within 5 minutes and we had aircraft frozen in the air and massive lag spikes. It was totally unplayable. The exact same mission running on a second 2.55 server was working flawlessly.
  12. Yes I get the same thing, the loading progress bar gets stuck at 10%. I noticed the same behaviour. If I do a repair the sim will start successfully. If I exit and try to start again it gets stuck at 10%. Same applies to restarting the PC
  13. Who is your provider? Two of our team had issues with Aussi-Broadband because of some ip4 scheme they are running to deal with a shortage of ip4 addresses.. It was quickly solved with a phone call to tech support to take them off that scheme. I would call and see if that’s your issue.
  14. Ok thanks for the information. I will get a copy of Sound module. I noticed your response to the post below about a wireless USB Headset, I am also using a wired USB headset I currently use Voicemeeter and plug the Buttkicker output into my on-board sound card. Do I still need a separate sound card for this configuration?
  15. Hi JCook, I recommend contacting Thrustmaster support “Contact us page” tell them your issue and that you need replacement parts, they should be able to help you. I recently got a replacement part for an older Cougar throttle I am going to use for the F16 from them. You may have to reply to several information requests, but in my case I got a part for a much older throttle. Best of luck and Happy New year!! https://support.thrustmaster.com/en/contact-en/
  16. Hi I just got a Buttkicker gamer 2 and have successfully installed it into my next level cockpit for use with DCS World. I have been looking through this long forum, but am still a little confused. I downloaded VoiceMeeter and Simshaker for aviators, and it seems to work, although I keep getting messages about JetSeat not working? My question is do I need to buy Sound module or is what I have done correct. I don’t have a problem buying it, it’s just not clear even when reading Andre’s Site, where the two programs fit in to the process. My second question would be, do I need the second sound card or will Voicemeeters virtual sound output be sufficient wit either of the options above? Thanks for your time, any advice would be appreciated. Cheers
  17. This seems to be a continuing real issue for two of our group. One of them is lodging a ticket with ED after trying lots of possible solutions. They really need to have a look at this.
  18. Multiplayer issue: Please Wait We have two people in our 62nd Fighting Falcons group who have now got this problem. We can’t seem to find what is causing it, and it’s a real bummer for those guys. Any ideas would be appreciated. Cheers Boomer
  19. Thanks Hollywood, I’ll try again and see if the wheel is working / not working in a similar way. I was using the correct phrase in game (My brain was paraphrasing while typing) The commands were recognised correctly by Voice attack/ Viacom and jester did respond, he just didn’t do it :-). Anyway I’ll see if I can work out what’s going on and resolve it. Cheers Boomer
  20. Jester lock commands being acknowledged but not actioned Hi, I’m just wondering if anyone has had issues since the last open beta update I took the F-14 up yesterday in Operation Snowfox (multiplayer server) Just FYI Jester was working fine in This MP mission before the last open beta update. I would ask Jester to “Lock single Bogey ahead” ... Viacom recognised the command and Jester says “yes Sir” or Ok or Yup. But....Jester does not lock up anything? I can see the highlighted target on the pilot display, but no matter how many times I ask he will not lock any aircraft. Jester did respond and do radio commands and link host commands. Anyone else see this behaviour?
  21. Hi I can confirm tonight using Viacom pro, I ask jester to “track single bogey ahead“. Jester says ok or yup etc, but he does not lock the target. This happened multiple times and with multiple aircraft. Hopefully we can get a hot fix, as the only missile lock you can get is with Pilot controls.
  22. Hi Wicked, Thanks again for sharing that info. I found the ~6lb pitch setting close to what I need for the Hornet, I still have to dial in some NASA pitch percentage numbers to get it smooth for trapping. You want the jet very stable for the return to the boat. :-) Cheers Boomer
  23. Thanks Wicked, I will give that a try. I’d I’d find the 8lb pitch a bit strong previously, but am happy to revisit it. Cheers Boomer
  24. I’ve recently purchased the FSSB R3 Lightening and have been using it as a stand alone with my Warthog grip. I really like it, but it takes some time to get used to the finesse needed by this force sensing base, rather than the way I used the original Warthog base. :-) The out of the box force settings were too heavy for me, but the configurator allows you to easily change this. I lowered the force settings for pitch and roll and used the NASA pitch and roll settings to make pitching forward and pulling right easier and it makes quite a difference to using it for longer periods of flight use. It it really fantastic with the new F-16 module and feels incredibly precise and direct. I have used it with the F18 and was surprised how the Hornet flight model felt completely different to controlling the F-16. “Who knew? “ :-) The Hornet seems to wallow back and forward a bit if I apply pitch, especially downward pitch. This is when using the current settings as for the Viper. To fix this I have set up a new memory slot configuration for the Hornet and have been playing around with the force settings and NASA Pitch settings to get a good smooth result for the Hornet as I have for the Viper. I will keep playing with it and post my settings if I feel I’ve got it right. Has anybody got a good setup working for the Hornet that you are willing to share? I suppose also for the F-14 for that matter. Thanks in advance.... Cheers Boomer
