  1. You can write entire walls of text , bottom line its in the game , deal with it , or not.
  2. you don`t need to change elevation so much , the really high angles for elevation are used in very close range combat situations , at 30nm with 15kft difference you only need a few degrees of elevation (you can see the the altitude ranges near the elevation indicator) also , if you both were flying the same course and approximately the same speed then you have to change the radar PRF mode from HRF to INT or BRF or the radar will filter that contact and last - if you already have a visual on him , try to narrow the radar search field, the radar wont 'instantly' detect a target even if you did everything right.

    530D's range

Again , conditions changed after you launched , maybe he reduced altitude (the missile doesn't have to climb) maybe he reduced speed (no need to chase as long at a cold target) etc. anyway its not a bug and not unique to the 530D

    530D's range

Nothing to do with 530D , all missiles will give you an alert when the your target is within the kill range. it doesn't 'predict' when that happens. if a target is closing in, you can fire ahead of optimal range and hope the target wont turn around and that it will keep flying towards you until range is within what the missile can hit.
  5. Hi Prowler , after the MiG23 'incident' - can you say that you have ED`s license/approval/whatever to make the Tornado? would hate to be disappointed again.
  6. From what Sith wrote , officially there was never approval from ED to make it, and RAZBAM should not have said they will make it before checking with ED first. as to why not give them a license , they don`t say.
  7. Not to get into a "mine is bigger" argument , but there is a reason why the IAF F-35 are designated F-35I , it would have tons of Israeli systems on-board, i doubt anyone else was allowed this much freedom to make such modification. Israel also got special approval to make all periodic maintenance done at home and not have to fly them to a Lockheed facility or as someone from the IAF said on the radio the other day "the F-35`s will only leave Israel to make an attack"
  8. i`m sure that during the long time the IAF pilots spent in the U.S they got to fly them. this is from today, our pilots took them for a spin. a nice video is posted in Israel Defence Force facebook page
  9. I`m surprised no-one mentioned this , but Israel is set to receive its first two F-35I today (was delayed by 5 hours due two poor weather conditions in Italy) http://www.globes.co.il/en/article-first-2-f-35s-flying-to-israel-after-delay-for-fog-1001166521
  10. I need to for ..... Reasons!!! + i need something less heavy than my Warthog for more arcade stuff
  11. Has nothing to do with this , RAZBAM absorbed the team that published they were working on the Mig19 and 23 , it shouldnt make a real different to their plans. the Tucano was already shown flying ingame and with textured cockpit, thats closer than all other planes in development.
  12. This is sad and is the result of low budget for training (both for pilots and for deck crews)
  13. I don't know , but who`s to say it wasn't analogue, or that there aren't several seekers chained together, these systems are classified , we may only sometimes get a clue as to their general workings but not the technique and components that were used. and generally speaking - military technology especially back then , was a years ahead of anything you could find on the civilian market. it`s true that some systems that are simulated in DCS work a little 'too good' the M2K will not be the first.
  14. Why too accurate? the plane has all the variables it needs to show a pretty real direction. 1. Plane`s own attitude 2. IR seeker is basically a camera , it knows that the Missile is coming from an azimuth X with elevation Y and those are constants relative to the plane. the computer just needs to add that to the plane`s attitude and it will show where the missile is on the RWR Accuracy depends on distance , size of IR signature , resolution and IR sensitivity of the seeker.
  15. Zeus please don`t let the naysayers win , these are the same people who screamed about 4 magics etc. haters gonna hate.
  16. How did i miss this thread so far?? Great news Zeus, i for one would love to see this system in our M2K
  17. Nice , drums reminded me of BSG p.s Soon
  18. If i look at the Facebook Harrier Progress updates , and look at the Mirage history before release, i would say Q4 2017 is very much a realistic date
  19. Gotta ask, but how can the mission files be dependent on the nickname the object have if it's the same for both Magic and Supers? And besides, I though weapon lua's use some unique sid and not a text. But my DCS modding skills are non-existant so I'll just take your word for it ( it does make life harder for GCI though)
  20. Thanks Buddyspike and Blix, now all i need to do is decide Red or Blue , tough choice.

    SHIPS

I voted Yes , but i still don`t see how it can be done regarding non-paying users
  22. Dont know about DCS , but IRL radar can detect missiles/rockets of all sizes a good example is the Iron Dome system Yes i just lost 3 lives in the last hours just trying to take off in a Mirage (those ins aligns...) please
  23. I have the MG279Q , its faster than the MX27AQ (144hz vs 60hz) and has Freesync if you ever go AMD. anyway i`m very happy with it , and if you are content with 60hz than i would go ASUS 4K res would be pretty hard on any setup and i don`t think the price for the hardware is quite there yet.
  24. Well done.
  25. They said in the past they cant remove it since the script system depends on these messages in order to work.
