  1. Capt Zeen

I am using a DTS synchro card from Brydling to drive a real HYD PRESS gauge in the F16 and I have no clue how to make it work. Helios is not very intuitive and I am trying to find a video or tutorial step by step to link DCS to the gauge. All I find is how to install it but not how to set up an interface. I click on everything in the editor and nothing happens.

    Thanks

    Nigel

  2. Ouch! that's a complicated question! Let's try! Helios comes with a bunch of gauges already prepared to work on diferents airplanes, but unfortunately not all the gauges/airplanes are avaiables. The L39 profile is very old, and when i created it, some years ago, there was not gauges or interface for it, so i create my custom ones, using a mix of custom controls and in some cases some already created gauges from other airplanes. For the Interface i used the A10C old interface, and made a conversion using a complicated script. Today, when i create a new profile my life is easy, i got the generic interface, the custom gauges, tapes and drums, i created for Helios, so everything is much easy. But well, com back to the L39. The ADi here is made using the already build Helios KA50 ADI and then, on top, some other controls, using my own custom images, to add additions functionallity to the ADI. So if you double click on top of the L39 ADi panel you can see all the layers on it, and select then to check which commans ( from the converted A10C) i used in every control. If you wan to use the Mig21 helios ADI, you can do it. You need to asign the L39 data to it, but remember you need to use the bindingd from the A10C ! As i tell you before you can see where is everything linked if you open the actual L39 ADi and check the inputs over there. Hope thats help Anyway, if you find me online in my discord channel I will be happy to help you.
  3. Try deactivating the preflight check in Helios control center. ..

  7. Hello everyone! I just published a new JF-17 Thunder Helios profile for all of you that use multimonitor configurations. You got the main thread here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=273109 And you can download the profile from my site: www.captzeen.com Hope you like it ! ...
  8. Hello all ! I found some free time those weeks and taking a look to the new JF-17 i decided to create a profile for this amazing airplane. It got a lot of screens on the main dashboard so not too much instruments to duplicate. So the development of the profile has beeen fast. That give me some free time and i decided, for the first time on my profiles, to implement the ilumination of the labels and instruments, so, if you use the reosthators you can iluminate the labels in cockpit and in Helios panel at the same time. So... here you got! a brand new JF-17 V1.0 Helios profile! For this profile i exported all the instruments, lamps, selectors, switches and levers in the JF-17 cockpit. Of course i added the navigation panel from others profiles, so you can check airport charts, tactical maps, ndbs, etc - HELIOS VERSION NEEDED: This new profile uses the new Helios version 1.4.2019.0315 or above You can donwload from here: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3302014/ And yes, you can use the mouse weel to rotate rotarys and pots, thanks to BeamRider! - PROFILE FILES: JF-17_V1.0.hpf .....................16:10 monitor resolutions JF-17_V1.0b.hp .....................16:9 monitor resolutions Main panel Pilot Main panel with labels illumination On Left 1, Seat and Right 1 panels Left 2 and Right 2 panels Kneeboard with all the airport charts - EXPORT FILES: In this version i included a new file organization for the export. Thanks a lot to Crivi, who reorganized all the files and fucntions by planes. Now, new airplanes can have their own files and do not interfere with the helios main export functions. You need to install those files in your scripts folder. - MONITOR ASPECT RESOLUTIONS: I made two different profiles, v1.0for 16:10 monitors and v1.0b for 16:9 monitors. Use the one better fit width you monitor resolution. - Thanks: I made the entire graphic art, based on screenshots of the simulator and the textures folder of the game. CONFIGURING THE SECOND MONITOR Included in the package, there is a folder called "Monitor Configuration" width a complete folders structure you can drop on DCS World instalation folder. This structure prepare the diferents lua scripts to export the views to the second monitor to represent the Pilot cockpit. Use this image as a template for the JF-17 viewports Unless you got my same configuration (two 1920x1080 monitors), you will need to change the coordinates x and y of every viewport and the width and height sizes of them in the Monitor Configuration\Config\MonitorSetup files. Change it before copy to the game folder, and save a copy of this structure, cause DCS world rewrite this files every update! To calculate the correct position of each viewport, run Helios and start the profile. Take a screenshot and paste the image in any art program. Paint from Windows works well. Put the cursor over the left-up corners of every empty spaces and write down the coordinates. Drag a box from that point to the right_down corner, and take the width and height of the rectangle. Modify the 2_monitors-JF-17.lua width your correct numbers. and you can now copy the complete " Monitor Configuration" folder to the DCS game folder, or use a Mods control program like OVGME to do it. As example, here you got a video tutorial where you can see how i do this process on the F18 profile: CONTACT www.captzeen.com discord channel for support: https://discord.gg/sS66aJf ..
  9. Hey Ctytler! just saw your posts here. I want to try it as soon as i arrive at home! "Capt Zeen, I was also just testing it with your Helios export scripts yesterday, and with some minor modifications to how I initialize the UDP connections it should be simple to enable compatibility with those as well. (The export scripts would still have to add a second port to be used at the same time as Helios)." If you need info about how i use the exports in Helios, let me know. Thanks for your work.
  10. Did you put the inputs and uotputs bindings to the buttons?
  11. Hey! everyone. As a user of streamdeck i am very interested in the actual state of this project. There are any news? what is the newest version of the pluging and what we can do with it?
  12. Check if you really overwrited the ini file in the game installation place, not in saved games.
  13. Yes you can, i dont got a Touch screen!
  14. Yes, the LoGetEngineInfo() gives information of FC airplanes. For other airplanes you need to use the get argument functions. And yes, every airplane got his own values. You can check in the file mainpanel_init.lua, usually over there you found the data you need. For example: in the KA50 D:\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\Ka-50\Cockpit\Scripts\mainpanel_init.lua --------------------------------------------------- -- Rotor RPM RotorRPM = CreateGauge() RotorRPM.arg_number = 52 RotorRPM.input = {0.0, 110.0} RotorRPM.output = {0.0, 1.0} RotorRPM.controller = controllers.RotorRPM So to get the value you need to do: local MainPanel = GetDevice(0) rotorRPM= MainPanel:get_argument_value(52) ..
