Also another problem I'm having (didn't want to create a new thread) is the fact I can't program the external zoom view onto my X-52. The external view is set to rctrl+num*, I tried to change it to lctrl+num*, but it still not programmed that way. When I'm in game, no matter what other control I mount it to, only rctrl+num* works?

I've noticed that when my aircraft is on the ground, especially the A-10, I see my gauges going wild. I'm just starting off the mission on the runway, the plane bounces a little so you hear a little warning at first that says "min speed". Then I look down at the gauges, like the angle of attack and the landing indicator and it's going wild. In the Su-27, I see something bouncing like the canopy hinge going up and down behind me. When I'm in flight, I don't see any of that, weird.

Hi I know this is an odd request, I always loved the original quick start missions from the old Lock On days, I find it very useful as a warmup before I go into other missions. But I'm having a hard time recreating exactly the old missions/scenery and units. Does anyone have these old missions imported to DCS? I would love to have a copy.

ah thanks for the reply. How about this: I vaguely remember a mod a while back that made the labels smaller, like a dot from a distance. But when you get closer, then the name or whatever type of aircraft/tank comes up. Does anyone still have this mod or know how to adjust it like that.

I'm sorry that didn't answer my question, that will just toggle labels on and off I need it to be on for enemies only and off for allies.

Like the title ask, I fly with labels on (yes still a noob but I want to slowly learn to fly without labels). But when I'm recording, I don't want to see labels for me or my allies in the external view. Is there a way to turn off labels for allies only and on for enemies?

Thanks Ven, that did the trick. But wow that was very troublesome....why couldn't they have made the zoom as one universal buttom rather that going to each individual aircraft and select the slider as zoom.

Hope you don't mind me asking a similar question about zoom here since I don't want to create a new thread. I can't seem to map my X-52 slider with zoom, could anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

But this method doesn't correct the slow playback rate correct? http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=44832 I mentioned this before that the same song played in DCS black shark seems a bit "slower"

I didn't see the need to go for the TrackIR 5, the price didn't justify it. I would go for the TrackIR 4. After personally using both, you can't really tell the difference. So go for the one that is better for your wallet.

Thank you for your help, but neither of those two links tell me how to change the playback rate. I have dropped my file into the editormusic folder but the sound is still slow.

I have been out of the game for a while but now I'm back when I bought Black Shark. I want to change the main menu music but I noticed it's not the same place as Lock On (i.e. the Sounds\Music folder) After some searching, I came across the Sounds\EditorMusic folder and that contained the menu music. When I replaced it, my music sounded like the playrate was slowed down. Is there a way to let it play normal? As a side note, why is there still that music folder in blackshark? It seems like none of the music is being used, sounds like a waste of space to me. I noticed a lot of those, especially old texture files from lock on.

Very nice, keep up the good work! I wish I could help but I don't know a lot about the MiG-21. I can't understand the different versions. Does anyone know what is the difference between a MiG-21 bis compared to the MiG-21 MF or SMF, PF...etc

I heard E3 is coming up around June, I was wondering will Eagle Dynamics have a stand there? I think this would be a perfect opportunity since they would be the only ones there that's a flight sim now that Microsoft has dropped their Flight Simulator series. If Eagle is going to be there, I'm going to register now for E3.

One question: why replace the MiG-29, wouldn't it be wise to replace the Su-33? Since it also has canard wings and possible chance of mid-flight refuel?

I see under the command keys there's move spot light up, down, left, right. But I can't find how to toggle it on or off. And i can't seem to find it within the cockpit. I did a quick search through the manuals but it didn't pick up anything. Could someone enlighten me how to use it? I would like to shin a big flashlight at my enemy before I kill them, or they kill me. Whichever comes first. :megalol:

Speaking about the F-14, when will a new F-14 model come out with damage model? I would really like to replace my current AI F-14.

I still can't get the combo keys to work. Whatever I press, it just shows up as Ctrl and then Y, there's no plus like the old SST software.

I'm using an X-52, and I can't seem to map out any combo keys. Using the SST program for the X-52, any keys that I map out that are combo (for example Ctrl-Y to toggle the info bar) it doesn't work in game. To test this i mapped out both ways on two separate keys, ctrl+y, and y+ctrl, both doesn't work. All my single keys stroke work but no combo. What am I doing wrong? This brings up another problem, in the key commands list in the doc folder, it should most keys stroke goes first (i.e a,b,c), then ctrl, shift, alt...etc. In lock on its the exact opposite. But if you follow the key command list, for example it says info bar toggle is Y-Lctrl, it doesn't work if you press that on the keyboard. Rather its Lctrl-Y.
