  1. Is there a way to save the Mirages? They both survived the first engagement and downed several bandits, but when I was told to commit after declaring "tiger", the Mirages tried to attack the Tomcats too and were both shot down. Was it planned that way, or did I do something wrong, or was it an AI problem?
  2. It happened to me in "save" 3A as well, but neither in "save" 3B nor in full mission 3. However in later two the parking area was crowded, and the airplanes were very close the landing area border.
  3. According to the 9-Line card kneeboard page SE 1200 is the position of the friendlies (1200 metes south-east from the target), it's line 8. The elevation is line 4, right before the description of the target. In this case it was 10 feet MSL. I entered the coordinates into Waypoint 59 as N 30 30 04 ENT E 47 48 04 ENT, then slewed the pod to that waypoint, saw a building, centered the crosshair on it, turned on TOO mode for the JDAM, and started my run. The JTAC told me to continue, which I did, and now, after I've read this thread, I realized that I used the wrong coordinate format :doh: Luckily the difference between N30°30'04" E47°48'04" and N30°30.04' E47°48.04' is only 65.3 meter, so I was able to spot the right building anyway. Also something bad happened after I told my wingman to attack the last target, after using F2 I found out that his airplane was bouncing of the ground with no pilot inside. I guess invulnerability made it bounce instead of crushing, but why did Smoke eject? Is it possible that he ran out of fuel? I did it in one run, but it took me forever to top off, and he topped off before me, so he was burning his gas watching me failing at refueling for solid 30 minutes. But I made it back to the tanker with 6000 lb after doing all the bombing, so Smoke should have had enough gas flying high cover for me. Maybe he used afterburner at some point during this time? :dunno: (spoiler below, don't read it if you haven't finished this mission yet) P.S. I didn't want to quit, so I refueled for the second time and landed on the carrier. Surprisingly my score was 100%, and I was able to progress. I did miss out all the dialogs which happen on the way back from the tanker, so I replayed the second save mission (R1 M03 ALT B).
  4. I would like to thank Mover, M0ltar, and everyone who helped to organize and run the tournament. I had a lot of fun, and I sucked with a lot of confidence! On the G limit off topic: Will M61 Vulcan even work at 9g+, meaning will it feed properly? Also, has it ever been test fired at 9g+? I thought about it because Gonky mentioned that F-8 Crusaders sometimes over G'ed their cannons (Colt Mk 12 according to Wikipedia) in Vietnams during .
  5. Just finished the campaign. It's awesome! It's so immersive, it's amazing! Thank you Ranger79 for all your time and effort!
  6. I noticed this issue: if an infantry group is assigned to a helicopter which is not the flight lead in a flight, then the flight doesn't go to the next waypoint after disembarking the group. If I assign the group to the flight lead everything works fine. I've tried both UH-1H and Mi-8MTV, different number of aircrafts in flight, moving troops to different distances, result is the same. 100% reproducible on my computer. Condition: "Distribution" parameter is used in the "embarking" task and the designated aircraft is NOT the flight lead. Result: The flight doesn't go to the next waypoint after disembarking units, but hovers above the landing zone.
