Is there an actual clickable switch/knob in the cockpit for the tactical drop switch? I can't seem to find it. I just rely on the keyboard command.

Same here. I'll drop bombs. Then switch pylons to Kh-66 and it immediately fires a missile without me pulling the trigger.

It's probably happening because you didn't move your throttle first. What I do is move my throttle all the way up, then all the way back down to idle. Then you hold the Home key until your Gas Producer hits 40 or so. Then let go. Once it's powered up - push your throttle all the way back to max and you should be ready to go.

I've found Track IR to be a pain in the ass at times. It really has a mind of its own. Right now it's working pretty well but every now and then it acts up. Plus I can't use it during the day due to the light I get in my apartment. I don't want to bash the product because it seems to work for a lot of people but it does seem rather primitive.

God I hope we get the Phantom one day. I love it's look. It's like ugly and beautiful at the same time.

what time of day would I find the most people on this server? Was looking for a good fight last night but there was nobody on the server. Was probably around midnight Pacific Time.

Actually you guys are right - IL-2 BOS looks quite nice. How much action is there multiplayer? Lots of people on or not yet? If you were to choose - which would you pick between IL-2 and Rise of flight? Kinda twisted on the purchase and buying both would be pointless do to available time to play them.

Recently tried MP. It was fun but damn it was laggy at times. Especially near the airports where lots of other players were flying and taxing. Do you guys typically reduce graphic settings when going MP? Does that help at all or or is the lag pretty much just from the connection.

Based on the Mig-21 - I am sure any mod these guys do is gonna be top-class. However I think Belsimtek are the Heli masters. They have a lot of experience with choppers and it would probably be easier for them to keep doing that. I'd think Leatherneck should stick with fast movers. Maybe other Russian birds like Mig-23, Su-24,etc..

I've looked into this but isn't it only World War 1 aircraft? Not that it wouldn't be fun if it were. I think I was gonna buy Rise of Flight at one point but the prices looked excessive to me. Il-2 Stalingrad is probably next on my purchase list - especially if the multiplayer fills up.

Thanks for the help. I actually already have Il-2 1946 but I've never been successful in getting it to run on Windows 8.1 I'll try it again. I got on DCS multiplayer and found it pretty fun. However there aren't a lot of players on there. The dogs of war server was actually empty. I guess my dream would be the amount of people who used to be in Air Warrior but on DCS multiplayer. It would be pretty sweet to have a DCS arena filled with 100+ World War 2 birds. I
