  1. Here is what I know.... If you setup a quick mission where the Apache is already in flight, the IHADSS is dead accurate. I have not been able to use the gun with a consistent alignment with a manual alignment.
  2. Essentially most of the missile physics in this sim are horribly abysmal at very best. It's really a shame at this point that everyone has to be just out of gun range for a missile to do its intended job.
  3. I use a Cougar to slew the camera's I do not use the keyboard. :joystick:
  4. Anyone having an issue when flying in multiplayer (Multicrew) and the gunners target being off from the Pilots? During my flight with a squadron mate we notice that when I was targeting (Gunner) that I missed targets wide left or right. When the pilot looks at the targeting camera he does not see the same picture that the gunner sees. The attached photo shows where I ( The Gunner) had to align my aiming reticule to hit the target. The pilot had to instruct me to move the camera left or right of what I would see in the gunner position.
  5. Ahh I tried that but for some reason you cannot save changes. Is there a way around that? Is the mission locked so that changes cannot be made?
  6. Hello Gents, I have browsed to the Gazelle's mp mission folder and I attempt to launch the CMPGaz1VEN-Coop2.miz mission however it still will not allow you to pick a aircraft. please see attached screenshot
  7. Hello Dimitriov Thank you for you reply. I understand. I wasn't sure if I was doing something wrong or if it was something that would be implemented later. I am really looking forward to playing this campaign within the multiplayer but I understand that some of these trigger features do not work well in multiplayer. I have no idea why that may be. This campaign seems really good!
  8. Hello Ladies and Gents, Per the manual it states that Operation Dixmude is multiplayer ready. Has anyone had success with that? Me and a squad-mate would love to fly this together but the Helo's are grayed out. Any Ideas? :helpsmilie: S!
  9. A10-C Patch issue Yea horrible .. Just horrible.. This update is absolutely atrocious.
  10. Does anyone know if the JTAC is working in Beta or Alpha?

    S530 Range

This is an extremely interesting read. I'm attempting to really put the S530D to use however it really needs good conditions for kill probability. Your best maneuver in dealing with a Su27 - Su33 or even worse a F-15 is to run. You really have zero chance. However based on the Wiki this is how the missile functions. You want reality there it is folks :) Its still a good interceptor and if you get jumped by one of the more modern jets an you have to fight in close The MAGIC will do just fine. This plane also turns well so you can be rather formidable in a guns situation. I would place this fighter in a roll of intercepting Bombers or Attack Air Craft but I would NOT get into a BVR situation with this aircraft at all.
  13. This is the most exciting news in the SIM community in years... Period!
  14. We are proud to announce the winners of the 2014 104th Phoenix VFBS Christmas Screenshot contest! First of all we would like to thank you all for your submissions. You can believe us, it was no easy choice for us and we are greatful and proud of all of your submissions. In the end we had to make a choice though, and it came down to this. Congratulations to the winner and hopefully better luck for everybody else the next time! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! 1. Place Winner: "C-130 landing" - by Octuplefire Congratulations to the Winner! We hope you enjoy your DCS Module of choice! Jury's Note: This clear image of a landing C-130 in morning fog and sun hides more than it reveals: We see two dim lights fading in the glowing fog - shivering cold and silence shroud the winter landscape in mystery, yet the colors, shades, shadows and shapes are crystal clear in this beautiful arrangement that reveals such great detail and precision of scenery. We can only guess what this morning will bring. New soldiers, prepping for yet another fight? Secret material for the front? The imagination gets the better of you while looking at this image and opens up yet another world of fantastic stories in the DCS Universe. Congratulations! 2. Place Winner: "A Frog on approach" - by Barthek Congratulations to the Winner! Jury's Note: The amazing depth of field, the brilliant colors and the strong character of this beautiful aircraft are breath-taking in this wonderful image. Rarely seen, your view gets carried away over the vast snow-blue scenery and yet rests strongly on the powerful display of the Frogfoot! It truely displays the greatness of DCS World at its core, with this first and foremost representative of it. At the same time the image is both a historic and contemporary embrace of our marvellous hobby. Congratulations! 3. Place Winner: "MiG-15 - a Rising Star" - by Schweehog Congratulations to the Winner! Jury's Note: While simple at first glance, the longer you watch, the more the beautiful glow and light get through to the viewer's eye, as if emerging from the dark. The glowing metal in the evening winter sun, the powerful and characteristic ascent of the MiG-15 making its way up, up, up into the sky... here we really take a peek at a Rising Star in the DCS Consortium. Congratulations! Honorable Mention, 4th Place: "Der schnelle Kurfürst" - by Derbysieger Jury's Note: The power of the Kurfürst rushing through the winter sky - this image gives us a clear sense of speed, combined with the dreamyness of the still of the flare above and a sleeping winter landscape below - as if the world would hold its breath for a moment. In this contradiction it is simply beautiful. Thank you! Honorable Mention, 5th Place: "The Magnificent 8" - by roeney12 Jury's Note: An Mi-8 steadily progressing through the cold winter haze, patrolling the surrounding city and landscape with an ever watchful eye: this snapshot freezes the capture of movement for us just in time, as if it would stop only to show off its magnificence. Enchanted by the suns corona it is a truly beautiful display of force. Thank you! Honorable Mention, 6th Place: "A not so Christmas falling" - by SLAMRAAM Jury's Note: Been there, done that or not so much we hope. This very clever selection of a scene without any aircraft gives a nice and atmospheric insight in the great variety of what one might discover in the DCS World. The downed pilot struggling to get up, the folding parachute, the attending soldiers, ready to capture the poor fellow, all of them freezing on duty in a snow-covered forest, maybe dreaming of their families preparing for Christmas in a warm home... It all seems far away and loved ones are being missed dearly. An event truly unfolding a tragic chain of effects that makes us all appreciate we can enjoy it in a virtual environment - safe and warm at home for Christmas... Thank you! And last, but not least: The Funny One: "DCS: Christmas Tree" - by rainbowtwo Jury's Note: Dude, you made us laugh. A LOT! The DCS Christmas Tree... 'nough said. Thank you! AGAIN THANK YOU ALL FOR PARTICIPATING! We hope you enjoyed these as much as we did. We are definately looking forward to the next screenshot contest and hope those of you who haven't been mentioned this time get more lucky next time. With some of your screenshots we have been impressed a lot, so with your kind permission, we would like to the show them on our new homepage that we will announce soon. Until then we all wish you Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year 2015. May it bring you luck and happiness! S! The 104th Phoenix VFBS
  15. Mustang you keep making this sim look better and better man!!! Awesome
  16. Unfortunately CA is very broken within MP. Although we would love to run it on our servers we don't as with a lot of other features such as triggering. The instability becomes so great that it crashes the mission and sometimes the server. Its my hope that ED will actually spend some time on this because I believe it changes the dynamic of sim play making it more fluid much like a real battlefield might be. Unfortunately I don't see this being fixed in the near future. :noexpression:
  17. Oh goodness! I dont miss the Hyperlobby Flame wars :music_whistling:
  18. Salute my good man! The DCS has lost another great contributor. I hope we will see you back in the cockpit. Your tutorials for the A-10 / KA-50 will ring on for years to come. So you wont be to far away in spirit!
  19. I think you meant " C:\Users\<YOUR LOGIN>\Saved Games\DCS\Config\autoupdate.settings "
  20. Jim ... May you live in the clear blue sky's forever! Rest Well My Friend! Thank you for everything you have done for ED and our community. May GOD comfort your family members and friends that you had to leave behind. God Speed S!
  21. Thank you for frequenting our servers. We apologize that the TS server is currently offline. We have operated with a free public TS and multiplayer servers since 2008 with very little downtown at all. These few days would have been the longest. If your frequent our servers and like what we have to offer please take a moment and donate a dollar or two to help keep the infrastructure up and running. Help us continue to deliver what we consider some of the best online play in the DCS / FC3 community.
