  1. I'm sorry guys, but I'll have to give up my slot, I've become occupied on the 28th.
  2. Thank you Sith for you service to the DCS community!
  3. I find this Resources on the Viggen: http://www.airvectors.net/avvig.html#m6 It explains the different Upgrades and when they were introduced in great Detail (also it is in English :) )
  4. While flying the F-15 in multiplayer (104th Server) i have experienced massive FPS drops when locking targets with the RADAR (STT or TWS), particularly Flankers. While I normally have constant 60fps my frames drop to 15-0fps rendering me unable to fight effectively. Does anybody have the same issue and does this also happen in other aircraft?
  5. Try to land there! You have about 10 feet of play forwards/backwards and about 2 to the sides, the type of Building used here can be found all over the map. This particular one is near Poti.
  6. Red Flag 4 Hitting the new NTTR Theater for DCS World! Since I do not own a cc I have no other option. Also you can conveniently update or switch between versions.
  7. Sadly the NTTR Terrain is not released for Steam by now, so I will not be able to take part in this event. I do not know why ED does not release NTTR for Steam, but it is how it is. S! TaccoZ
  8. TaccoZ F-15C German Germany Available on 16th and 17th Agreed to the rules
  9. I can confirm that I can take part on 21st/22nd of November
  10. I only play multiplayer, apart from hauling dirt with the huey, so DC does not matter to me. For me its definately the 4th Gen fighters. Better effects and especially sound design is also very importand for a good immersion IMO.
  11. If your ECM was still on, that would be the problem: Imagine a RADAR like a night vision sensor, looking into a dark room. It can see the planes going around up to a certain range and also their range. Now how the SPJ (self protection jammer) like your sorbtsiya is like a huge flashlight you shine into the RADAR. The RADAR just sees a big bloom of light in your direction, but can not see the range. And now thing you have your ECM on at 500km away from the enemy RADAR: He will still be able to see and lock you but can still not determine your range. If you did not have your jammer on, please provide a track file, it always helps understand the problem. Please do not just make post, saying DCS is doing somerthing incorrectly, maybe it is your own fault.
  12. It would be cool as a tanker, but since we will get buddy refueling pods for the hornet its kind of unintersting.
  13. I would like to sign up for BLUE FLAG Callsign: "TaccoZ" Preferred Plane: "F-15C" I would also like to fly the Huey though, is that possible?
  14. If that is true, it would be a major flaw IMHO as in multiplayer Air-to-Air (e.g. 104th Server) flying in cons makes you visible for houndreds of miles and will make you vulnerable to sneak attacks from even F-15s, as they dont need to use their RADAR to see you,
  15. That also works really well at high speed low AoA for making 90degree roll inputs really quickly for example to go defensive in the Fishbed.
  16. It is also possible to directly send your SPI to a specific A-10: 1. Set a SPI (duh) 2. Hook the Hog you want to send it to on your TAD by making it SOI, hovering the green cursor over it and hooking the other A-10 by pressing TMS up short 3.. press the "SEND" option with the group ID and own ID of your hooked target below it on the right side of you TAD to send your SPI once Your mate will receive the message "NEW TASKING" on his MFCDs, he will have to press "WILCO" on his screen and then he will have a new red icon on his TAD which will be your SPI
  17. Corrected that for you. Today they use sattelites for broad coverage and U-2s and Drones for long periods of real time imagery. The Blackbird was used for BDA and extremely quick retrieval of information. There are also some (high threat) places on this planet, which can't be covered by a U-2 while sattelites only provide a few passes over the area in question every week/month. Thats what the Blackbird was absolutely brilliant at. Stealthy Drones should also work but they would probably be as expensive as the Blackbird.
  18. Oh and the pilot was a relatively early SR-71 pilot who then turned wing commander of the 8th Strategic Reconnaissancd Wing, the only ones to operate the U-2, KC-135Q and SR-71
  19. Nuclear test sites are not always place where nukes go off ;) I know that the Foxbat/hound can fly mih higher than angels 60, but if they have barely any reaction time (Mach 3.5+ speed and low RCS target) the probably came out of an unrestricted climb directly from takeoff. Sadly you will not find any more info on that specific case, because the SR-71 Pilots had no way on IDing the Interceptors nor would the USSR admit these failed intercepts. I'll take a look into the book though, let's see if I can find some more info on where that happened.
  20. Very true, but the point is made now. The Foxhound was definately not the reason for the Habu's retirement. It were the shitty politicians again :(
