So, basically, this game is an unfulfilling dead-end for anyone wanting anything competitive for RED while BLUE can have pretty much anything and club RED into the ground. Wonder if R27 and R77 guidance, tracking and flare-resistance issues are actually just an accident, lol.

Yes, I'm such a horrible person for wishing the fulfillment of the ONLY reason I spent 65 hard earned euro equivalents on this module, money that I had to save as it would go to life expenses. I am soooo sorry for not being rich enough to just throw money at devs as some here can do. My deepest apologies for behind such an evil, evil person and for not being a US-tech/Tomcat/Top Gun fanboy. True, Iran has the A version, but since the A version is NOT OUT yet and since some servers use this one as a stand-in for RED it would be great if it would also get Iranian camouflage.

I realize that it will still take a while for the A version, but could B version please get skins for the Iranian Air Force in the meantime? It's kinda immersion breaking role-playing IRIAF on servers with Iran F-14s, but dressed in USN skins. xD

I bought this thing only for Dynamic DCS server (not a fan of US-tech nor Top Gun), so would really like to start cutting down those filthy, unwashed and uncouth F18/F15 hordes as soon as possible!

I'm really hyped for this plane, waaaaaaaaay more than for the Tomcat I pre-bought (which tbqh, since I'm not US-tech or Top Gun fan I bought only because of Dynamic DCS server cause it will be on RED side fighting against those filthy, uncouth F18/F15 hordes). Modern avionics on a deliciously different/foreign style airframe, what more could you want? :pilotfly:

My vote in the poll sadly isn't among options cause it's: remove this flawed system. DCS has the worst protection/activation system I've seen in my life and I've been flying since Commodore C64 times. It's also the most abusive to legal owner system that I've seen. Personally I would want it to be completely removed and ED going back to the drawing board and rethink it from ground up. Other games have single-activation system and it works well for them. No-one else has this ridiculous requirement of logging in every few days and activating and re-activating and having LIMITED ACTIVATIONS. Seriously, who the heck came up with that?! Why is ED too "good" for single activations? After all, even the biggest authorities on copy protection have stated that these days copy protection lasts only for a few days and their goals is to protect product only for the first few days of the launch that are the most profitting. Why shaft the guy who gave you the money because of someone who didn't? My first biggest issue is that I'm NOT the owner of the module I bought with my hard-earned money, I just rent it and I'm not allowed to sell it, loan it or give it way. Imagine buying a car and the sales rep telling you "Keep in mind, even though you paid the full, idiotically exorbitant price, this vehicle does not belong to you and you are not allowed to do as you please with it and the manufacturer can come in at any time and take it away from you". Would you be happy? Would you support that?

I'm going to be formatting my Windows drive and reinstalling Win. After that is set up I will be installing Steam DCS Modules on a new HDD (basically moving them from current HDD). Do I have to de-activate them like with standalone modules? Modules in question are: A-10C, Harrier, FC3 and Mirage. Thanks!

That's because Steam version doesn't have a CD-key and as such has a separate registration system from ED.

So, basically we can count on release no earlier than 2020, considering how long it's been taking to get halfway.

When (or if ever) DCS is stabilized and optimised back to levels of 1.5.8 (I'm quickly losing hope for that though), can I request that AO missions get one airfield with challenging conditions like Mozdok was in the VA days? Under that I mean rain, poor visibility, heavy crosswinds and so on? Right now flying there is a bit... boring. It's perfect weather everywhere, daylight all day and unless I want to do the racing I get bored within some 10 minutes of joining (if I don't get disconnected or ctd-ed that is). Some challenge would be very welcome.

We received a new, "improved" engine. God forbid we stayed at 1.5.8 which worked fantastically and looked great too...

I wish ED went back to 1.5.8, that one was great, while the current engine is THE worst I've seen in my life. Such poor optimization wasn't seen even in the old pre-EDGE engine.

Which just supports my suggestion for Su-24 over Su-25 even further. :D

Or ED just makes a trip to Iran (a country friendly to Russia) who still operate Tomcats...

I finally updated from 1.5 to 2.5 and the first thing that jumped at me was the horrible opaque HUD smudge that basically prevents me from seeing details. I've tried the cockpit by Pied Piper on Reddit, but it either doesn't work or I'm doing something wrong. Does anyone have a fix?

The system requirements for this game are getting insane. Are we gonna need computers capable of high-end professional video editing and 3D rendering soon?
