    Ummm Flight Sims? RTS
  1. Yeah. I can't use pedals in my current setup as I play reclined (back troubles). Pinky Wheel - I'm using it for RPM in the prop planes but haven't found a use for it in the Hawg yet. I was using a HOTAS X throttle previously and I'm still working on the ergonomics with the TWCS throttle. This was my T16000m Modding thread: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=146102
  2. Here's mine: https://www.dropbox.com/s/835er8ikkz2hlpx/DCS_A-10C_Warthog_TWCS_T16000m_Mod.jpg?dl=0 N.B. My T16000m is modded a bit but it has the same number of buttons as the vanilla As for listing bindings, I make a Master HTML from the "make HTML" results by opening them in OpenOffice Spreadsheet. Comes out like this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/md39uersodud8bn/DCS_A-10C_Warthog_TWCS_T16000m_Mod.html?dl=0
  3. I will stick with my static measuring test which I think holds better accuracy than an eyeball estimate from a moving plane.
  4. During a Twitch chat conversation with a Dev, a couple of days after release, he said he "thought" it was 300yds for the Spitfire as with the Mustang. That uncertainty prompted me to check in-game for myself... https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2990755&postcount=24 TLDR - 250yds Spitfire, 300yds Mustang p.s. I wouldn't want to drag that Dev into this without asking him first so I refrain from naming at this point.
  5. Current Preset Harmonization I performed a simple ground based measuring test for convergence on the DCS Spitfire LF Mk IX. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2990755&postcount=24 Catseye's testing made if 250yds also. I went on to test the Mustang - 300yds These figures would make historical sense for the default convergences for the RAF and USAAF in ETO at that time. That's not to say that there weren't deviations at Individual and Squadron levels.
  6. Need a Betty reduction? Take your pick ... Half Volume https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/2143248/ Virtually Silent https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1875261/ I did the same for A-10C and FC3 Common also.

    DCS Tucano poll

Neither. File under "Meh! Not Interested" next to the C-101.
  8. Good work on the comparison videos. I'd say Starway's for low altitudes and buildings then a toss-up between Mustang's and Barthek's for mountains. Except that Mustang's mountains seem to be too snowy for June. Do Mustang's vary with the seasons ? Also the Mustang's vid seems blurrier than the others. I'm currently using Picksking's. The only part that was broken was the part that included Mustang's Tree Shadow mod.
  9. When I was using the HOTAS X throttle I used to set the Huey collective curve so that the detent matched a comfortable cruising speed. Similarly with jets I'd set the curve so that the detent matched 100% military power and going past the detent put me into reheat. On non afterburning jets I'd set it at cruise speed as with the helos.
  10. Miss and miss. Splash damage is the best I could get from them.
  11. 22500? I nursed mine up to Angels 39. Took a long time though.
  12. Any self respecting Airfix building schoolboy in 1960s Britain would've known the unique shapes of the Viggen and the Draken before it. Definitely iconic I'd say.
  13. Putting extra pressure on the castering wheel helps it stay straight. Certainly, in practise, the tail doesn't swing out of line so much with the stick held back at the start of the takeoff roll.
  14. Not only did we measure DCS Spitfire IX convergence at 250yds but that would correspond historically. btw I measured for the Mustang also and that is set to 300yds
  15. It's of course possible that something might have changed by 1946, the date on that pdf.
