  1. I don't hate reinstalll OS, i just hate all those updates! Everytime I reinstall, I need to repatch around 100 updates....:(
  2. Just update my rig too, C2D E4300 OC 3.0G $116 Stock Heatsink and fan 2X1G Corsair XMS2 6400C4 $110 MoBo: Gigabyte DS3 P965 $100 Video : 7600GT $110 (a bit slow, I know, :) PSU: Ultra Xfinity 600W: free after Rebate: Pay $12 for shipping Case: Free after rebate HD: From old rig, no extra fee So the total is $448. Not sure how much in GBP.
  3. As what I read from FW, they are working toward Alpha now. So nothing big to show off now. Let's just give them our good wishes and keep our patience. Give these guys more time and space to breath.
  4. When I got more money, I might choose a cougar with a force sensor mod. It would be great to play Falcon4 with a cougar. My x52 only last less than one year without very intensive use. X52 is still a very nice stick. But CH is more linear, accurate, with more powerful script function. And also I like its military looking.
  5. switch from X52 to CH Hotas, no coming back for me.
  6. The next thing we should do is mount rockets and gun on that airplane, then we can begin a virtual Dogfight in the air!!!:megalol:
  7. I purchase my FC from gogamers.com (or gogamer.com? nevermind) They carry a lot rare sim games. Such as IL2 1946 which usually would not be found in any local stores.
  8. I like Slash, some of his solo are really great
  9. For that, I will choose a Head-wearing Display with TrackIR support, cheaper, no frame and where you look at is actually where you look at.
  10. I hope one day this will be combined with TB, especially in Falcon4, those Big MFD and surrounding buttons, oh, and ICP
  11. just got mine, now eagerly waiting the screen overlay to arrive. TB is cool!
  12. That would save a life of an innocent paperboard box, I guess:lol: Thanks! I will pm you my address.
  13. Yeah, actually I am thinking of making one of mine too. My idea is to put a cut paperboard threshold on the afterburner position. Won't be too difficult. :smartass:
  14. They are almost same. As I know, later version X52 increase the resistance. But to me, that increase the friction problem. No, the two trim wheel basically only work physically. They move the center of the x, y axis. Because sometimes the center of the axis has some deadzone area, if the deadzone is not equally distribute on both sides, you can use the trim wheel to put the deadzone center on the axis center. Otherwise if you use the trim wheel in the game, you would mess up the control. Yes, the throttle wheel is reprogrammable. X52 throttle's resistance is adjustable. CH Pro throttle is very light and doesn't have the afterburner detent which X52's throttle has. Currently using a CH Pedals. Never used a Saitek Rudders. From the spec, I think Saitek Rudders will be more comfortable to use, just not sure if it is durable. I don't have any problem with my CH pedals right now. As I know, they use a small script to convert the both toe brake axis into buttons, so you press the toe brakes, in game, it is equal to press "B", that's it. ;)
  15. Compare to Saitek, CH is very difficult to buy and pricy out of U.S. I have a friend who want to buy CH Yoke from H.K., the price is also doubled!
  16. Agree, my first look at CH throttle, WTH is this? :D But in the end, i get over it. I do like the design of X52 throttle, just add some more buttons, and get rid of that blue MFD, it would be perfect. Actually I tried to pair my previous X52 throttle with CH fighterstick, but the cross devices key mapping drives me crazy:doh:, so in the end, i give up.
  17. X52 is ok, if you don't mind the friction between the bottom plate of the shaft and the joystick base. I felt that was quite annoying since if you keep pushing the joystick at some level for a while, then if you want to move it, you always need some extra force. CH is much better on this, but some joysticks might have calibration problems. And if your hands are not big, you might have some problems to reach some of the top buttons on the joystick. Other things, CH have more buttons, but for Lomac, X52 is enough; CH has a more powerful software support, the CMS script could do many things, but still X52's function is good enough for most people. I have been using X52 for a year, then CH. After comparing the two for 3 months, I kept the CH set. As for Cougar, I would not think about it unless i am ready to pay 800 bucks for a decent cougar mod model.
  18. I think the problem is you set a key or button to default zoom level and the key or button was on all the time.
  19. Any idea other than TrackIR? I just spend 300 bucks on joystick, so I don't have the money to spend on a TrackiR right now. BTW, a friend told me that because he used TIR for too long, when he is in driving, sometimes he would forget to turn his eyes to the direction he wanna look. His head turned, but his eyes just kept looking forward! I don't think it is really that difficult, since you can pan your view in Lockon, it is just how to pan back to the center, something like my setup of Newview in IL2.
  20. Does anybody how to set the center view function in Lockon to pan back to center rather than just "jump" back to center view point. Everytime I lookaside and went back to center view point, I would lost the tracking of the angle I previously looked at since the view angle was switched to center instantly. Thanks.
  21. If I had the money, I might want one for virtual pit building. Well, just a thought, of course I don't have the money... :)
