  1. As the title says, I'm selling Thrustmaster HOTAS Stick and Throttle, TrackIR 5, and MFD Cougars. Links below. I'm based in Ireland so shipping the HOTAS Warthog is the only real issue due to its weight (i.e. it shouldn't cost much to ship the TrackIR or Cougars anywhere, but I'm not sure about how to ship the HOTAS Warthog, or how much it would cost). Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog Joystick SOLD Track IR 5 with Track Clip Pro Bundle SOLD Thrustmaster MFD Cougar Flight Panel Duo SOLD Obviously I might be a bit flexible on the listed prices. And I'd really like these to go to a genuine fan of the DCS games - they served me well.
  2. One last point that I should make - There is an issue with turning some of the radio channel knobs which I have no fix for. I think it is related to this post here. If anyone has found a fix for that issue, can they please post about it? It's an annoying little bug.
  3. Hi John3544 - I'm glad you got this sorted, but for anyone else who has similar trouble, I should say that I haven't really explained that step properly in the document. So at the very start of setting up the touch screen (page 27), you need to ensure that the Dell S2240T is selected as the touch screen, and you may also need to select the 'Calibrate' option if you haven't done that in Windows yet. Unfortunately I can't remember the exact steps now, but this is purely a Windows thing and is nothing to do with DCS/Helios. Anyway, hopefully it won't catch anyone else out. - DerekM
  4. Thanks for the feedback guys. I had a small bit more information to add to the PDF, but I'm sidetracked on work and other projects so I haven't been back to DCS in a few weeks, and not looking like getting back to it any time soon either. :( Hi nescafe37 - The method I used to set up the A10C was originally used to set up A10C and KA50 to work together. I just stripped out the KA50 material. If you check back in the PeterP post that I reference in my doc, you might get the information you need. But I have no experience with KA50 so I can't really help you beyond pointing you to the link, sorry. Edit to add: If you look at page 42 in my document, you will see that when you extract the PeterP file contents there is an option called 'Ka-50 and A10C installed'. So I think that is what you are looking for. I'm sure there is more information in the readme.txt. - DerekM
  5. Glad you found it useful! Regarding the radio frequency buttons, I noticed that issue as well but haven't gotten around to investigating it. I've no idea if it's an issue with Helios and/or the Loz profile, but I have used this set-up on a normal screen and I saw no issues using a mouse for control. I hope it's not specific to the Dell 2240T, although I don't see why it should be. Maybe some tweaking in Helios is required? I'm not sure. If anyone else has seen and/or solved this issue, it would be great if they could post here as well. In any case I won't get to investigate this for a while, so if you find a solution yourself, please post it here. Sorry I can't be any more help.
  6. Guys, I wrote this guide last week, which may help.
  7. You *may* find what you need here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1541311&postcount=68 I use those files, but only for A-10C, so I'm not sure that they're what you need.
  8. Wow, that CNCZone forum has more sections than I've ever seen in any other forum! Thanks for the tip.
  9. Hi all, Beginners Guide attached which goes through all the steps required for setting up DCS-A10C in a dual-monitor configuration (one being a touchscreen) + Helios + Cap Loz profile. Only targets the A10C Warthog, but the steps may be similar for other modules. I've tested the procedure on two set-ups (one being side-by-side layout rather than top-bottom) and I think it is sound, but I'll still add the disclaimer that you follow the steps at your own risk! Back up all necessary files, etc. If any steps are clearly wrong, please let me know asap and I'll edit. --DerekM 2MonitorSetup+Helios+Loz.pdf
  10. Thanks for the replies guys. I wasn't really expecting super precision with PCBs and I thought even 10 mil would be difficult. But it sounds possible with some attention to detail. Cheers.
  11. Interesting, I'm doing something similar in LabVIEW. The problem with my solution is that unless you can get LabVIEW in your work-place or you're a student, LabVIEW is not cheap. So I'd guess your application will be much more applicable for other users. Edit to add: Good luck with it!
  12. This thread just keeps on giving! I still think I'm pushing towards a CNC-type machine as I think I can get a lot of use out of one. A quick question - do any of you guys create PCB's with your machines? If so, is there anything in particular to look for when buying; what's the PCB quality like, etc. I'm an electronics engineer so if I could make up simple PCB's I'd be happy as well.
  13. Thanks for the quick reply, Stevos758! Those links are very helpful. And now that you mention it, the ability to do more with a CNC compared to just a laser engraver is very appealing as well. I certainly don't have a budget for both machines at the moment.
  14. There's some seriously good information in this thread, but I still have a few questions: Am I right to say that while a laser engraver potentially gives the best results, it is (a) relatively expensive (b) not very compact, and © can emit some toxic fumes? The last two points are particularly important for me as I don't have a dedicated work area where I could set one up. Are CNC-milling-style machines more compact and less toxic? And less expensive? Does anyone have any experience with these Shapeoko kits? Are they suitable for engraving, etc? I guess the main question I have is: what is the most compact (and cleanest) solution available? - DerekM
  15. Hi guys, I also have Helios working with no issue on 1.2.8. I based my files on the contents in the ZIP file posted here by PeterP. I noticed some subtle differences between 1.2.7 and 1.2.8 in the files; my advice is to download the ZIP file in that post and compare them to what you have. Back everything up, of course! :) Also, I'm currently working on a tutorial for setting up a dual monitor configuration with Helios (the lower monitor being a touchscreen). It's not quite ready yet though, unfortunately.
