  1. Finally figured it out. The server.lua under my Saved Games was corrupt, limiting the xyz to 0.0 movement. Deleted this file and restarted the mission. Headtracker works as intended now.
  2. I can't see double bindings for the headtrack axes. Yes, as far as i can tell they are the same. Attached are the screenshots from the mig29c and the f15 axis binding pages.
  3. Hello All, I have encountered a weird behavior with Mig29 (all variants) yesterday. I took it out for a ride after a LONG while when our squadron Mig29 expert decided to host a training session. Getting into the plane i realized the head tracking is only partially working in pitch, yaw, and roll axes. The X, Y, and Z axes were not working, almost like being stuck in the old 3 DOF days. I have reset my controls bindings for the trackIR, tested with other FC3 (F-15, Su-27) and non-FC3 aircraft with same settings and the problem seems to be isolated to the Mig29 variants. I have also deleted and re-installed the FC3 which did not help. The axis tune dialog for XYZ axes show movement data being fed from TrackIR but for some reason, it is not reflected in-game. I was wondering if some of the experienced folks can provide some suggestions.

  5. As the title says. I've tested this with the Viper and Jeff instant action missions. Comparison is attached. Exports become almost useless in nighttime.
  6. I'm using a helios profile made by Capt Zeen. The profile works fine but the displays extracted through DCS are somehow darker than what they are in my main screen. I tried playing with the brightness knobs but it does not help. Please see the attached for side by side comparison of DDD and TID.

  12. I was able to duplicate this independently with 111 knots and a google search led me to this post. Happened in the built in landing quick mission.

Could this be the reason dynamically spawned infantry (CTLD) not appearing in mist.makeUnitTable({"[blue][vehicle]"})and [color=#2C2D30][font=Slack-Lato]mist.DBs.aliveUnits[/font][/color]I can still force the table to update using a "manual" PLAYER LEAVE UNIT event though. Also i noticed the birth events for the spawning infantries is there, but it has a time tag of 0 (10 mins into the mission). Can that be causing the DCS database to ignore these events?

  17. i wonder if dofile works within the API environment. that way you can store lives of pilots in a file as a table in the scripting environment and then call it from the API environment.

  24. Thanks a lot PiedDroit, for the detailed explanation mate. I was able to follow and quickly fix the problem. In game movement is 1:1 to the TrackIR output now. After the fix i also found this from FTNoir wiki. It seems they have a script built in for changing the dll path. For future references, you just need to click locate dll button in the image below (taken from: http://sourceforge.net/p/facetracknoir/wiki/FreeTrack20/ ) and switch to the C:/Program Files (x86)/NaturalPoint/TrackIR5 path for example.
