    DCS Menu Nav

I've been away from DCS for a looooong time! BUT... The AH-64 looks to be the thing that draws me me back in. Nice to see some people are still using DCS Menu Nav after so much time! A special thanks to all those who offered helpful tips/advice in my absence! Even though very late, I thought I'd comment on this last question: Menu Nav is built using AHK and limited by what it can do. So, it only recognizes up to 32 joystick buttons. Two workarounds I can think of would be: Remap the buttons on your joystick so that the ones you want to use with Menu Nav are below 32. Or... You could use other utilities to map buttons above 32 to new virtual controllers. So, for example, if you had a 64 button joystick, make it appear as two 32 button joysticks. I know neither of these are ideal and require a bit of fiddling around. But, they might help you achieve what you're trying to do. Good luck!
  2. Came here to report the same thing. Updating the open beta on Windows 10 using built in Windows virus protection. Restored/Whitelisted Sounds.edc and update appears to be proceeding normally now.
  3. It's been a couple of hours. I can't believe this hasn't blown up yet! Early Access being what it is means that a truly functional version is still a long way off. So, I'm tempering my excitement. But, it's great to know that it's in the pipe! Keep pushing that bar ED! Make the magic happen! Still holding out hope for a Whiskey Cobra one day and the I-can't-believe-they-haven't-done-it-yet P-38J. However, seeing the Apache really does take the sting out of the other two
  4. This sounds great! Thanks for sharing. I'll give it a whirl as soon as I'm able. Cheers. Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk

    Master Mode Issue

Whoa, wait... Ghost inputs on your side (DC) hat?! That's what I'm getting on my MCG-Pro too. Mine is bound to the comm/radio menu which randomly pops open. I thought it might be a hardware issue but couldn't get it to reliably repeat. I'm going to have to look into this some more. Please keep me (us) posted if you get any further info. Thx! Meet our New Coder

Really glad to see another coder on board! Should make the future of Razbam that much brighter. Best of luck to you and the rest of the team.
  7. Thanks Flappie! I know a lot of work went into this. Your effort and willingness to share are very appreciated. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk
  8. I'm curious as to why you haven't added sloping sides as this does seem to be the best (if not ideal) option available. Presumably you're considering something that I'm not but it seems like sloping sides would make placement so much easier. Sent from my MediaPad using Tapatalk
  9. Crikey! So, glad I found this thread. Good to know bug has been found and being worked on. Stuff like this can drive you mad.

    DCS Menu Nav

The program isn't a mod of DCS, it's a separate utility. So, you can put it wherever you like, just keep all the files in the same directory (including the MP3). The MP3 files simply call out the selected number. This was added for VR users who can't see the visual overlay. You can disable this in the INI if you like. To use it, please read the docs on how to set up the INI file for your your joystick, then run the EXE. In game, use the 4 hotkeys to activate it and control your DCS menu. If you're having trouble figuring out which controller is assigned to which ID, try this utility: https://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13009 Hope that helps.

    CRS TACAN

Must have had a brain fart. Checked again and indeed it is working. Appreciate the reply though. Cheers.

    CRS TACAN

Bumping this thread to see if this was addressed and I missed it. While I've seen (albeit without the corrections mentioned in this thread), I can't get it to appear following those instructions. I don't see it in the bug tracker as a current or resolved issue. Is it currently working in DCS v2.5.4.28090 or am I doing somethig wrong?
  13. A dedicated server at last? FANTASTIC! Just did a quick test and it seemed to work easily without issue. Although I haven't spent much time with it yet, the web interface looks really slick. The real usefulness of this will be if/when all terrains can be used without purchase in --norender mode. I'm sure the existing server owners who have already paid for a 2nd copy of the terrains will welcome this with open arms. But, for little guys like myself who just host private sessions for buddies every couple of weeks, it'll take no-additional-cost server terrains for me to take advantage of a dedicated server and set one up. Hope this comes sooner than later. Regardless, well done ED! We've been waiting a long time and it's great to see this coming to fruition.
  14. I have also expressed this sentiment in the past, that CA should focus exclusively on the RTS elements as you described. IMHO first person tanks/ground vehicles (if done at all) should be made as dedicated modules. Perhaps a ground equivalent of FC3 or something. I received comments that this would be too slow/boring for the RTS commander but disagree. I believe managing a large number of units could be very engaging. Especially if some JTAC or FAC elements were cleverly added into the mix (rather than just first person lase). Anyway just wanted to voice more support for this potential direction that CA could (and hopefully will) go. Sent from my MediaPad using Tapatalk
  15. Awesome. Hope you're able to get it sorted. Fantastic mod. FWIW, I'm not running in 4K and don't think it's related to resolution. Good luck!
