  1. Thank you! That clears it all up.
  2. This has been somewhat discussed before, but I am now seeing what seem to be contrasting statements since I last read the subject. Here is a past response from Zeus: whaaw "Oh man cant wait to mount AA missiles for CAP and a pair of GBU's just in case The CAS people need a bit help. You guys making a happy man here" Zeus67 "AA and AG weapons mix is no problem. AG weapons mix is dubious in a multiple release scenario." And here is the updated M2000C manual "However, due to limitations of the targeting computer, it is not possible to mix Super 530D missiles with air-to-ground weapons" So did Zeus originally mean AA missiles only in the form of Magics or did they change their minds? Also, in reality, if it isn't possible to use 530's with AG weapons, could the radar still be used in AA search modes while carrying AG weapons or simply in the AG targeting modes? I know in-game we can mix ordnance. Thanks!
  3. I had the same problem start when I connected new rudder pedals and tried assigning axes to them. I fixed it by simply unplugging them, restarting the computer, and then plugging them back in (possibly using a different port, not sure). Try unplugging and replugging your HOTAS, pedals, and such.
  4. It seems the AI has cheater radar capabilities. Yesterday my AI Mirage 2000C wingman was able to pick up enemy fighters on scope from 100 miles away! I can never pick up fighter sized aircraft any further than 40nm away in the Mirage.
  5. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
  6. I should also mention the Through the Inferno server is a really good Player vs. AI server that's usually well populated and has optional comms in Discord and/or SRS. It's a good place to practice skills in a changing map environment without facing player opponents, and there's usually a bunch of people chatting on Discord that I'm sure would be willing to help new people.
  7. Lately, I've just been using the cheat option of not needing to align the INS for it to work :music_whistling:. I rationalize it since I'm flying against FC3 planes which only take 2 button clicks to start-up and taxi. I believe servers can force INS alignment, but I think most don't. I like playing on DynamicDCS Server (DDCS) the most since it forces comms in Discord chat. It's very helpful, especially for newer players, to have everyone in comms for asking questions and gaining situational awareness of the map. But be aware that this server has modern CAP lives (including M2000C) of ~2 per hour to make people play smarter, so that may be a bit frustrating for less skilled players. There's also 104th server, which usually has the most players but in the Mirage you will be facing F15's with longer range AIM-120 missiles, which is quite difficult. And Blue Flag server which is similarly as immersive as DDCS, but I find less people are on comms there. Hope this helps! :) (These servers are currently on 2.5 Beta version)
  8. Is the following a bug or correct behavior? Flying the SU-25A, I set up a quick mission to test different weapons' effectiveness against the M1 Abrams from different hit angles. I hit the Abrams in the front turret area with an S-8KOM rocket at close range and the game did not register a hit in the mission log nor did it register any damage to the Abrams. I'm thinking this could be correct behavior if the Abram's frontal armor entirely defeated the rocket, but I thought it was strange no hit was at least registered in the mission log. (Vanilla install of game) EDIT: Also had the same situation happen with S-13 rocket (No hit detected, no damage) S-8KOM vs Abrams No Damage.trk
  9. Rest in peace. I am very grateful for being able to enjoy the fruits of his labor.
  10. Ok, I understand that. Thanks for the help.
  11. Actually nevermind, I think I got confused lol. So if you set up an INS waypoint on the laser coordinates, then you don't need to use the AG designate command since it's already designated in INS? I think that's where I got confused. You're essentially just doing a standard INS CCRP bombing but the laser is guiding it in?
  12. Gotcha. Can a waypoint be created as a reference point on the ground on HUD or just a flyover point to translate to a guess point on the ground?
  13. Can that INS way point be placed as a ground marker on HUD or only a flyover point? The coordinates can be very precise correct? I did a little conversion and got 18.5 meters for the every finest digit of Lat (.01") that can be put in the INS, right?
  14. That gives me a pretty good idea. Thanks.
