  1. Using the elevators while braking is be a form of aerobraking, keeping the nose up after touchdown is also aerobraking. Flaring is simply decreasing your rate of descent before touchdown, the nosewheel does not have to stay up after the mains are down.
  2. It's VHF channel 1, comms frequencys are on the last page of the kneeboard for each mission. If you google the campaign there is also a forum post with a couple of very detailed documents about the campaign and every kneeboard for each mission.
  3. That is correct assuming that a button is built into the idle cutoff detent on your physical throttle, I'm not at my computer right now but I can check how I set it up later. As I said though I haven't used winwing before so I'm not sure if you have to do anything different with that, my warthog I just bound it and it worked. When I first load in to the plane I do have to cycle my physical throttle in and out of the detent once for it to be recognised, I do that before I start any of the start up procedure, it could be worth a try
  4. It sounds like you still haven't bound the idle cutoff? It is a separate button and not apart of the throttle axis itself, I don't know how winwing works but the thrustmaster warthog activates a button when you move out of the idle cutoff position. I might be wrong but this sounds like the issue if it's only happening in cold and dark
  5. Sounds like normal behaviour. You need to use the cz button as stated above
  6. Hi there, is there anyway to display your fps in vr? I have tried using right crtl pause but it doesn't seem to work
  7. So i ended up getting an htc vive cosmos yesterday and wow! A 2d screen really has nothing on it. Is anyone else who is using an rtx2070 willing to share their settings that gives them the best performance?
  8. Thanks for your feedback, im currently bidding on a second hand rift s and am definitely excited to try it out!
  9. Hey everyone, i am considering buying a vr headset soon but i have a few questions before i splash out on it. Firstly, can anyone comment on performance they have had with an rtx 2070? My computer is currently an rtx 2070 and a ryzen 9 3900x, im unsure if my gpu is even up to running dcs in vr? Also i currently run dcs with a 1440p monitor and trackir 5 which looks absolutely amazing and works really well, is vr really worth it over great graphics and head tracking in 2d? Thanks in advanced for your help
  10. I really dont understand this, you knew the risks when you pre ordered it. Yes it was disappointing at first but we will get it soon enough and im sure it will be well worth the wait
  11. Gear and flaps up as soon as you have a positive rate of climb and the aircraft will trim itself, and as said before only use 12 degrees for airfield take offs, 16/17/19 are for carrier launches
  12. I believe the landing gear doors rip off if you overspeed the gear
  13. Oh man i feel like an idiot haha, i must have not been locking the wings correctly because it works fine now. Thanks for your help
  14. Yes I already checked that, as you can see in the image the roll axis still controls the horizontal stabilizers but not the ailerons. They also do not move down with the flaps (in half and full)
